At his words, Gu Anxi smiled faintly. "But I would rather not have that kind of ambition."
She picked up the teacup before her and took a small sip. "You arranged the car accident, my eting with Bo Qing, and even my Youngest Uncle’s car accident when he tried to see . Is everything under your control?"
Mr. He chuckled, clapping his hands. "Correct. It was ."
"Why?" Gu Anxi stared at him, her lips quivering slightly.
His eyes fixed on her, Mr. He gave an eerie smile. "Of course, it’s because you’re the smartest child I’ve ever seen—strong and confident. You’re unlike Bo Qing; his very na destines him for an unfortunate life. But you are different. You are a demon child descended from heaven, a child God sent to help ."
Looking at his frenzied deanor, Gu Anxi finally felt she was confronting the true mastermind. She frowned. "Just because of that?"
Mr. He’s face was slightly crazed. "Yes, what else could it be? Besides Bo Qing, I also sought out Song Jia. She was another smart child, but ultimately, she was too caught up in personal feelings, not one for accomplishing great deeds... Only you, ruthless and calm enough, were always my best candidate. Bo Qing was just a sacrificial pawn."
Gu Anxi’s hand clenched around her cup, her face paling. After a long mont, she said softly, "For your own selfish desires, you committed so many evil deeds... even changing the lives of so many people."
Hearing this, Mr. He laughed strangely. "Speaking of which, this is all your fault for constantly ntioning Qin Siyuan. I intended for you to accomplish great things. What was I to do if you were always preoccupied with romantic entanglents?"
Gu Anxi continued, "The best way was to make him my enemy. So, the Qin family’s involvent in the car accident—that was also your arrangent?"
The old man opposite her didn’t deny it, still smiling calmly. "Correct. It was , including arranging for Wang Keru to marry into the Qin family. Everything was my arrangent. That way, you would have no family, no lover, nothing but , your master... But..."
The old man’s expression turned vicious. "I overlooked Xichen. I never expected him to et you in Qingcheng."
Then, the appearance of the Bo family ruined all his plans. His perfect disciple once again beca an ordinary child, a spoiled child. She had once believed she stood at the very peak, that if she desired, the next King Jingyao would be her.
Bo Qing was never ant to be that person.
Later, he resigned himself to it because she began to gain renown in Beicheng, and her every move beca the focus of attention.
But, like Xichen, she had no interest in power. One wanted to be a doctor, the other wanted to play with mud!!!
Then, Zhou Yunchen made his appearance, and everyone could see that the next King Jingyao would be him.
Zhou Yunchen was the child he had abandoned years ago!
He chose Song Jia and left the child—who might have suffered brain damage from a fever—in Qingcheng... Mr. He squinted, exhaling slowly. "Perhaps this is fate."
Gu Anxi took a piece of paper from her pocket, placed it gently on the table, and slowly pushed it toward him.
The old man’s eyes flashed. He picked it up, and his expression changed to one of utter shock.
His fingers began to tremble, then his entire body. He slowly raised his eyes, his voice as hoarse as stones grinding together. "How do you have this?"
Gu Anxi smiled. "I found it in the gene database. Once I compared your DNA with Zhou Yunchen’s and Zhou Yunhua’s, everything beca clear. Mr. He, my master, you were the one pulling the strings all along."
The old man, like a defeated rooster, sagged and frantically tore the paper to shreds. "This isn’t true! This absolutely isn’t true!"
Gu Anxi took a sip of tea, her expression sowhat indifferent. "If you don’t want your children to find out what you’ve done, then stop. I can offer you a way out. But from now on, you can only stay in this house, drink tea, and paint. This house will be your prison."
"And if I refuse?" the old man roared. "Do you think you can confine ? Children? What are they? Nothing! I was willing to abandon them then, and I’m willing now! As long as you agree, Zhou Yunchen can be eliminated imdiately! There’s nothing I won’t sacrifice!"
Gu Anxi lowered her gaze. What a ruthless heart! "But I am not willing!"
"Master, I’m still the sa as when you t as a child. I just want to play; I don’t have any grand ambitions. To this day, my Youngest Uncle was my greatest aspiration. And you changed all that. Originally, I was never supposed to et him."
The old man gritted his teeth and sneered, "Then let’s see which of us leaves this room."
Hearing this, Gu Anxi looked up, then regarded him silently, her expression unreadable.
Just then, a commotion arose outside. With the old man’s sharp hearing, he could tell there were at least a hundred people near the house... He looked at her. "Your people? Do you think this rabble can hold ?"
Gu Anxi shook her head. "No. They were probably brought by King Jingyao."
"They can’t hold ," the old man stated confidently.
Gu Anxi nodded. "True, they can’t hold you. But if I press this ’1’ button, you’ll probably go out and perform a dance, then sing a song, and all sorts of other strange actions will occur... Imagine that scene. I think you’d rather not recall it for the rest of your life, nor would you want to appear before anyone ever again."
The old man was furious. "You dare! I don’t believe you!"
Gu Anxi remained unfazed. "I dare. And Zhou Yunchen is outside right now. He and Zhou Yunhua have always wanted to know who their parents are and why they were abandoned. If you go out now and confess everything, what do you think will happen...?"
The old man trembled all over, staring fixedly at his forr beloved disciple. "You’re a devil!"
"A heaven-sent demon spawn, wasn’t that what you called ?" Gu Anxi smiled. "I believe you have one other concern: your wife. She’s quite innocent. If she knew everything you’ve done, if she knew her own son and daughter were persecuted by you to this extent, what would she think? How would she look at you?"
The old man was on the verge of madness.
Gu Anxi held up a small button. "Rember, don’t leave this room rashly. Otherwise, everything you hold dear will vanish."
With that said, she slowly rose and walked out. The old man remained seated, trembling with rage.
Gu Anxi’s hand rested on the door panel. She suddenly spoke, "Master, you could have lived a very happy life. You had a son and a daughter, your best friend, and a most gentle wife."
As her voice faded, she closed her eyes and activated the chip.
There would be no dancing, no singing. Only a shrewd old man whose nerves would be destroyed, who would henceforth be a senile old man... He wouldn’t be able to do anything, would require care, and would no longer have the opportunity to harm anyone.
But at least, his life was spared.
Gu Anxi closed the door, leaned against it, and smiled.
But a glint of moisture shone in the corners of her eyes.
Before her stood a dense crowd. At the very front were King Jingyao and Zhou Yunchen. Even Song Jia was there. Bo Nianyao and Bo Xichen, having just arrived, looked on, stunned by the scene.
King Jingyao stepped forward. "Anxi, is Mr. He inside?"
Gu Anxi nodded. "He is. Master is ill. He no longer recognizes people. I ca to see him."
Her words stunned everyone present.
Ill?
He doesn’t recognize people anymore?
