She looked at Gu Anxi and spoke in a tiny voice, "But, but the amusent park isn’t even that fun..."

Gu Anxi gave her a sympathetic look and drew out her voice, "Sounds like you’ve never been, huh? That’s really pitiful."

Gu Mingzhu stopped talking, her small hands clasped in front of her, gripping tighter and tighter.

Looking a bit nervous, that kind of vibe.

Gu Anxi smiled lazily. "If people didn’t know any better, they’d think I was about to sell you off. Look how nervous you are."

"I’m not nervous at all."

"Oh, good if you’re not nervous. Right, if I sell you to Qin Siyuan, I think he’d be willing to pay a big price. The betrothal gifts should be quite hefty. That money should totally go to , right?" Gu Anxi asked with a perfectly straight face.

Gu Mingzhu’s little face turned beet red, and she instantly blew up. "When did I ever say I was getting married?"

Gu Anxi swallowed what she was about to say, then gave a light cough. "Oh, you don’t want to? Then I’ll just tell Qin Siyuan later."

Gu Mingzhu was furious again. "Gu Anxi, you’re doing this on purpose."

"Pretty obvious, you’re just dumb," Gu Anxi thought, smiling with squinty eyes.

Gu Mingzhu was so mad she ignored her, turning her head to stare out the car window, stewing in silent rage.

Gu Anxi didn’t coax her either. Honestly, bullying her was pretty fun...

Later, when they got to the amusent park, Gu Mingzhu went from totally unwilling to actively dragging Gu Anxi around—

"This one, I want to do this one."

"This one’s fun too."

"Let’s do this one again."

...

Gu Anxi sighed, forcing her not-so-strong body to go with her round after round, and ended up kind of regretting it.

Really shouldn’t have brought her here.

They played all the way until six-thirty, and only then did Gu Mingzhu reluctantly leave. Once she got in the car, Gu Anxi felt like she was as tired as a dead dog. She slumped over the steering wheel, and only after a long while did she turn her head to ask, "Do you know how to drive?"

"I do, but I’ve never actually driven," Gu Mingzhu said softly.

Gu Anxi shot her a look. "Useless at everything, champion-level idiot."

Gu Mingzhu: ...

Gu Anxi drove to the best restaurant in Jiangcheng, a French-thed place. Pretty pricey, but the atmosphere was great.

But of course, the mont they walked in, they ran into soone they knew—soone very, very familiar.

Her oldest uncle from the Wang Family, Wang Kefu, and Wanqing.

The Wang Family might be running around like headless chickens, but Wang Kefu’s fun and gas were still going strong.

Right now, he and Wanqing were sitting at a table, candlelight between them, his hand holding Wanqing’s hand, eyes full of affection.

Gu Anxi saw them and let out a small laugh.

Gu Mingzhu’s face imdiately turned ugly. She’d always been the type of kid who wore everything on her face.

"How about we go sowhere else?" She tugged on Gu Anxi’s sleeve.

Gu Anxi glanced at her. "Why should we?"

She walked over and called out generously, "Uncle."

Wang Kefu looked up, and his expression was like he’d just seen the King of Hell. His face went gray in an instant, but he still forced out a smile. "Oh, Anxi."

Gu Anxi chuckled lightly. "Having dinner with Second Aunt?"

Wang Kefu and Wanqing both looked terrible.

Gu Anxi took another look, then exaggeratedly apologized, "Sorry, my mistake. Turns out it’s Miss Shen."

Wanqing gave a reserved little smile. "Mr. Wang is my client."

Gu Anxi nodded with great poise.

But Gu Mingzhu couldn’t stand this white lotus act anymore and brusquely asked, "Client in what area exactly?"

Wanqing’s face darkened.

Wang Kefu’s did too, but he didn’t dare offend Gu Anxi, so he could only swallow it down.

Instead, it was Gu Anxi who took the chance to "educate" Gu Mingzhu properly. "Mingzhu, how many tis have I told you, you can’t just blurt out whatever’s in your head. Miss Shen makes a living with her skills. No matter which kind of skill it is, it still counts as talent, got it? Look at you, pampered and clueless. Should’ve sent you off when you were little so you could learn what real hardship is."

Gu Mingzhu’s mouth opened and closed, and pink hearts were popping in her head—

Anxi’s little mouth is so good with words.

And the two of them over there looked even worse.

Wang Kefu cleared his throat. "Anxi, since we know each other, why don’t we sit and eat together? Let Uncle treat you properly."

Gu Anxi looked quite easygoing. "Sure, I’ll ask Mingzhu if she wants to."

Gu Mingzhu had no clue what she was plotting and imdiately pursed her lips, speaking her mind. "I don’t want to eat with them."

That honesty was exactly what Gu Anxi wanted, so she smiled. "Looks like we’ll eat on our own then. Enjoy your al, Uncle."

She glanced at Wanqing, her gaze dipping slightly.

Then she led Gu Mingzhu to a table on the other side. After they sat down, Gu Mingzhu muttered under her breath, "She obviously sells herself, and she still pretends to be all high and pure."

"As long as you know it, no need to say it out loud." Gu Anxi poured her a glass of water, her voice light. "This is the path she chose herself. However it ends, she has to be the one to take responsibility."

Gu Mingzhu humd, holding the glass as she drank. After a mont she lifted her eyes to look at Gu Anxi.

Her gaze was bubbling over with pink hearts again.

Anxi is so amazing, her aura is so strong, even her uncle is afraid of her.

When she asked about it, Gu Anxi smiled. "He just has sothing he needs my help with."

Gu Mingzhu’s eyes sparkled even more.

Holding the nu, Gu Anxi ordered the dishes she liked first, then asked Gu Mingzhu about a few. Gu Mingzhu was a little curious. "How do you know I like these?"

"Baidu." Gu Anxi chuckled.

Then she handed the nu to the waiter.

The al was actually quite pleasant. After a while, Gu Mingzhu forgot about that poultry and started eating happily.

It had been a long ti since she’d been able to just relax and enjoy food like this. In that instant, she thought of Tang Yuan... and her eyes went a little red.

Gu Anxi knocked her lightly. "Warning you, you’re not allowed to treat like your mom. I’m only 21, I’m still Bo Xichen’s little baby."

Gu Mingzhu was utterly grossed out.

But inside, there was a faint sweetness. When she was almost done eating, she suddenly blurted, "I’ll behave from now on."

As soon as she heard that, Gu Anxi’s head started to ache a bit...

And she says she doesn’t see as her mom!

Just as they were about to pay and leave, they unexpectedly ran into another familiar face.

It was none other than Qin Siyuan.

Qin Siyuan had probably finished dealing with work and brought his secretary out for a al. Qin Siling was nowhere to be seen at his side.

He also saw Shen Wanqing, but he didn’t greet her. He directly led his secretary, Lin Qin, inside to the innermost area.

Suddenly, his steps halted and he looked over at Gu Anxi and Gu Mingzhu.

Gu Anxi was a bit surprised too, especially since Gu Mingzhu was tilting her head up to look at him, and at the other girl dressed like a secretary.

She was very tall and very pretty, with features... that faintly echoed Gu Anxi’s. About sixty percent similar.

For so reason, that discovery felt like a thorn pricking Gu Mingzhu right in the heart. She bristled like a little cat, tail standing up, warily watching him and that secretary, not saying a word.

Of course, Gu Anxi noticed too. How could she miss what Gu Mingzhu had picked up on?

But she pretended not to know, wiped the corner of her lips, and smiled. "Siyuan, what a coincidence."

Qin Siyuan was slightly stunned, then followed with a faint smile. "It is quite a coincidence. Brought her out for a al?"

Gu Mingzhu still didn’t say anything, clearly in a bad mood.

Qin Siyuan leaned toward the secretary beside him and murmured a few words. The secretary glanced at Gu Anxi and Gu Mingzhu, then smiled gently. "Okay, President Qin, I’ll head out first then."

She walked away gracefully, full of poise.

Gu Mingzhu was even more annoyed.

She hated this white-lotus type the most.

Gu Anxi slanted a look at her little expression, finding it sowhat funny, though her heart also sank a bit.

There was actually such a secretary at Qin Siyuan’s side, and after wrapping up work they were still coming to a place like this together to eat. Saying there’s nothing going on would be lying to ghosts.

For a mont, she really wanted to take Gu Mingzhu away, but she held back. She pointed at the seat opposite. "Sit, let’s eat together. But Siyuan, your secretary doesn’t have to leave either. She can join us."

"She’s not an acquaintance, it’d be awkward." After Qin Siyuan sat down, he spoke softly, not sure if it counted as an explanation or what. "She was handling sothing nearby, and this restaurant was the closest."

Gu Anxi nodded. "That’s true."

She looked at Gu Mingzhu.

Gu Mingzhu lowered her head and simply took out her phone to scroll through a novel, acting like she had no intention of talking.

Qin Siyuan sighed inwardly: she’s really mad! Such a little girl who loves to get upset.

He ordered, then chatted with Gu Anxi about the situation in Jiangcheng. He didn’t deliberately explain anything, since the Gu Anxi in front of him was still... the whole thing was just too subtle.

After the al, Gu Anxi tossed Gu Mingzhu to Qin Siyuan and drove off alone.

Qin Siyuan paid the bill, then ca back and looked at Gu Mingzhu. "Okay, let’s go ho."

Gu Mingzhu lifted her eyes to him and said softly, "I’m going back to Beicheng tomorrow."

Qin Siyuan looked at her, his gaze very calm.

After a mont, he said he knew.

Then he walked ahead, and Gu Mingzhu followed behind him, each step full of displeasure.

Even getting into the car, she was reluctant. If he hadn’t insisted, she probably would have sat in the back seat, just because she didn’t want to sit next to him...

Qin Siyuan turned his head to look at her, his voice a bit hoarse. "How long are you planning to stay mad at ?"

As he spoke, he reached up to rub at his brow. "I’ve been in etings all day, I’m really a bit tired."

Gu Mingzhu’s little face was taut. After a long while, she finally said, "I’m not mad."

"You’re not?" He suddenly turned toward her, holding her small face to examine it carefully. "If you’re not mad, why would you insist on going back to Beicheng?"

She tried to dodge, but his grip was especially strong. She twisted for a long ti and still couldn’t shake him off...
