"That blasted shaman, I need to get rid of it"...
He swiveled behind a massive tree for cover, catching his breath, he activated his talent..

A blue spectral sword of light materialized before him, his perception spread out, locking unto the goblin shaman, he willed his spectral sword forward..

The goblin shaman, in the midst of casting another spell, couldn’t react when a sword light pierced right through its head, ending its unfortunate life....

The goblins turned around in confusion. Big mistake..
The young man knew this was his chance, he didn’t waste anymore ti.
Swiftly calling back his spectral blade, he held the sword then used one of its abilities...
he whispered under his breath as he swung the sword faster than the eyes could follow, leaving no chance for the unfortunate goblins to react...

Following several heavy thuds, the bodies of the goblins collapsed , lifeless..
"Fuck ... an S-rank talent and I’m here struggling with goblins? Who’s idea was it to spawn mutated monsters, and since when were mutated creatures this troubleso" the youth complained bitterly, breath heavy..
"And this is just the 7th floor, the overseer said they got strong by a tier after every ten floors, how the hell am I going to fight the things on the higher floor if they keep getting this strong?" He was depressed.
The academy trials weren’t anything like he’d imagined...

He wasn’t the only one suffering from the tower’s backlash...
"Arrrrhhggggg" a participant’s scream was cut short as his body was split cleanly in two, his entrails spilling out in gory fashion, painting the floors crimson..
He had overestimated himself or rather underestimated the tower’s backlash, choosing to continue only to get slain by the mutated goblins on the 6th floor..
These were rely the few of many such occurrences...
A staggering number of participants had already lost their lives to the sudden spike in difficulty, an even more alarming number had decided to call it quits after nearly being killed on previous floors..
As for those still climbing? They were the current cream of the crop..

He was currently in the 18th floor of the trial tower, his mana running on empty, yet the lizardn around him didn’t seem to to care..

A spear thrust nearly turned him into a shishkebab as he barely sidestepped, only to run into a clawed fist..

He was exhausted and tired, the environnt was a massive disadvantage to him..
The power ups he received from his bloodline were utterly nerfed here and he’d been blitzing through the levels, trying to catch up to a certain soone that he forgot his mana was limited...
"Fuck... if. I don’t do sothing I’ll really die here.. Shit!!" The very thought of dying before even getting to the tests proper annoyed him...
He’d been gifted a bloodline upgrade stone, with what face would he face his benefactor if such a mundane trial were to be what did him in...
"Co on... just one more push" he lifted himself up, as another arrow found purchase within his ribs.. Puchi!!
"Damn it... "
He yelled in frustration and rage, a wave of condensed flas bursting out him, the temperatures shot to searing levels, the muddy waters evaporating swiftly as it spread in a circula motion...

The lizardn hissed in pain as the searing hot flas engulfe them entirely, turning them to nothing but ashes...

"Finally... Haa..Haa.." he took deep breaths, trying to calm himself down...
"Fuck.. this thing got difficult fast.." he slowly sat up, taking our potions from his storage device as he decided to pause here for the mont..
Any thoughts of competing, at this point in ti we’re out firmly on hold...

"Damn it... Is this bastard doing it on purpose?" He was livid, it seed like Dante was trolling him since everyti he thought he’d caught up the bastard had already cleared another ten more floors...

A flash of light later and he found himself on the 20th floor..
"Where’s the stupid lizard, let’s get this thing over with" Thaddeus thought irritably...

The heavy thumps of sothing moving on the muddy earth reach his ears soon enough, he raised his head,

Before him was a creature the stuff of nightmares..
A serpent over 30 ters long, four muscular limbs each tipped with claws the size daggers, toxic saliva dripping from thesinister jaws of its three heads, two being clearly serpentine with the one in the middle being a red-scaled lizardman...
"Fucking hell, you call this thing a lizardman?" What greeted his outrage was a breath of toxic fus from the creature’s rightmost head that nearly sent his unprepared ass packing..
"Fuck... you’ll pay for that" his body got engulfed in blue-gold flas as his eyes shone with a radiant intensity..
"So God help if I don’t cause eternal suffering to whoever was causing all these problems"Thaddeus spat out as he got ready to face sothing that shouldn’t have a business there...

"Anyways, Ti to get back to my demolition derby" I smirked evily as I cracked my fingers..
