After finishing lunch, Xiaomai and Liu Lingxiu sat with Ye Qiu and they all had lunch together.

In the afternoon, it was ti for a break, and the two girls went upstairs to rest.

Ye Qiu watched TV downstairs, and around three in the afternoon, he planned to go with Liu Lingxiu and Xiaomai to visit He Xiaoqing.

He didn’t really have any feelings towards He Xiaoqing, neither disgust nor anything else; he just didn’t like people like He Xiaoqing’s parents.

Now that sothing happened to them, and surprisingly, their parents sought help here, going to see them was perhaps sothing owed by his previous self.

Once in the car, Ye Qiu drove towards Jiangbei.

Liu Lingxiu and Xiaomai didn’t know where Ye Qiu was heading.

"Lingshow, we’re going to the old community of the textile factory first."

He drove back to the old community of the textile factory and parked the car at the entrance.

In fact, he hadn’t been back for a long ti, only Ye Weidong and his wife would occasionally co back to check. After all, living here for so many years, they still had an old house here.

"Ye Qiu, did you live here before?" Xiaomai asked in surprise.

Looking at these houses that seed to be twenty or thirty years old, it was surprising that Ye Qiu suddenly moved to a mansion and villa area.

Actually, Ye Qiu’s rise didn’t even take up two years all together.

"Lived here," Ye Qiu replied.

Just after getting out of the car, the residents of the old community recognized him, looking quite surprised to see Ye Qiu.

For these ordinary people, they always had a feeling of timidity towards those who were either rich or noble, just as Ye Weidong used to be.

However, gradually, due to changes in his environnt and status, Ye Weidong no longer acted the way he used to when facing officials and the rich.

Now, with Ye Qiu’s help, Weidong had gradually reached a certain position as well.

Ye Qiu rely nodded at these residents; he didn’t have much impression of them, although maybe his parents were familiar with them, he was not.

He didn’t have any feelings toward this place, even though he had already integrated mories of his previous life, but it was precisely because of this that he felt nothing towards it.

After Liu Lingxiu and Xiaomai got out, Ye Qiu intended to first return to that old house to have a look.

The three of them went up the stairs and arrived at the door. Ye Qiu found the hidden key and opened the door, discovering that inside it was still very clean, likely because his parents and sister ca over to clean it regularly, so there wasn’t much dust or cobwebs.

Ye Qiu knew that if nobody cleaned it, it would look very different after a week, or even a month.

This place could be rented out for a thousand or two a month, but for Ye Weidong and his wife now, such an amount was negligible, so they chose neither to rent nor sell it—purely out of feelings for this place.

"Lingshow, didn’t He Xiaoqing’s mother ask you to bring a ssage? Could you and Xiaomai go and see if He Xiaoqing is really unwell? I won’t go."

"Ye Qiu, I’ll go then," Liu Lingxiu said.

As Liu Lingxiu and Xiaomai left, Ye Qiu stood in the living room of the old house, amidst the old furniture. If he hadn’t co to this world, he feared his previous self and the Ye Weidong couple might have spent their entire lives living here, or at most, just turned things around a bit.

Of course, Ye Qiu knew that if it weren’t for him, the previous self would have already told them, leaving only the Ye Weidong couple and Ye Xue, which might have been even worse.

It suddenly struck Ye Qiu that the previous self hadn’t died in a simple car accident—it was obviously murder.

Though Ye Qiu hadn’t delved into the details, he knew it was definitely related to the background of the previous self.

No matter what happened to the previous self, he was determined to avenge them and help them find peace.

Before long, Xiaomai returned.

"Ye Qiu, that girl is really in trouble. She’s tied up with ropes in her room by her parents, and she seems to be in a ntal state, acting as if she’s lost her mind."

ntal issues?

Doesn’t that an she’s having so ntal troubles?

"Is she locked upstairs?"

"Yes, because her parents need to sell pork, and to prevent her from harming herself, they had to tie her up."

It was clear that in He Xiaoqing’s state, if she weren’t tied up, she might jump off a building or hit her head against a wall, or commit other harmful actions.

"I’m going downstairs, ask her parents to bring her down. I don’t want to go up there."

Ye Qiu stepped down from the old house, heading downstairs, and Xiaomai went to ask He Xiaoqing’s parents to bring her down.

Shortly after, He Xiaoqing was carried down by her parents.

In truth, many residents in the textile factory’s old community knew that sothing was wrong with He Xiaoqing, who had been screaming and crying nonstop in the evenings recently, disturbing many people’s rest, particularly those who had to go to work or school.

However, nobody dared to confront Butcher He and his wife, both notorious, one known for slaughtering pigs and the other fad for heated argunts. The community feared the couple.

Originally, the couple bought a house in a Jiangnan neighborhood and moved there with their daughter, but after the incident with He Xiaoqing, she was sent back here.

Thus, rumors spread that the house Butcher He’s family lived in Jiangnan was haunted, leading to He Xiaoqing’s ntal break, and even now, Butcher He frequently stayed back here.

Seeing the couple carrying the tied-up He Xiaoqing, and with Ye Qiu also present, many residents watched from a distance, pointing and gossiping.

When Butcher He and his wife saw Ye Qiu was really there, they both sighed in relief.

They had only this one daughter, and facing her current condition, they really didn’t know what to do.

"Untie her," Ye Qiu demanded.

The rope was so thick, binding a person for such a long ti, it would eventually block blood circulation and damage the skin.

Ye Qiu, with just one glance, could see from her eyes that He Xiaoqing’s ntal state was very unstable.

As Butcher He hastily untied the rope from his daughter, He Xiaoqing started moving erratically, her hair a ss, rolling on the ground, causing alarm to Liu Lingxiu, Xiaomai, and even the surrounding residents.

Butcher He hurriedly grabbed his daughter.

"Ye Qiu, quickly see what’s wrong with Xiaoqing!" Li Lanfang exclaid anxiously.

As for the rumors and gossip from the residents, she had long grown accustod to it, after all, they had disturbed the entire neighborhood for such a long ti.

"When did this start?"

"Let think," Li Lanfang replied.

Rembering roughly half a month ago, while still selling pork in the market in Jiangnan, He Xiaoqing suddenly seed possessed, her ntal state changed, frightening a young housewife who was buying pork, causing her to flee, abandoning her purchase.
