"Think you can run away?" Senior martial brother Hong Hai shouted and unleashed a palm strike at the eunuch.
His palm gave out a yellow glow, and the glow shot out at the eunuch.
The eunuch tried to dodge it, but it was too fast for him.
Splatter.
Skin, flesh and blood splattered into the surroundings when the glow hit the eunuch’s chest.
"Hehe. Never would I have expected to encounter so much fun." The eunuch said with his hand holding onto his chest.
And while doing so, the eunuch also tried to take a step back.
But Hong Hai wasn’t taken in by the eunuch’s speech and deanor.
He swung his sword at the eunuch without any hesitation.
The blade from his sword shot out a slicing wave towards the eunuch.
Dang!
Just when the slicing wave was about to slice the eunuch’s body into halves, a glow in the form of a bell engulfed the eunuch’s body.
The other person who was with the eunuch erged from behind the eunuch.
Hong Hai recognized the man in an instant.
"Lee Yi Hong! How dare you try and murder a disciple from the Qing Feng Sect!"
He pointed his sword at Lee Yi Hong and said.
Lee Yi Hong smirked and opened the folding fan he had in his hand.
The wind from the fan blew at his hair when he fanned himself.
"And you were trying to kill Eunuch Xin, an imperial official." He said and glanced at Eunuch Xin.
"Hehe. That’s right." Eunuch Xin staggered back onto his feet.
"His majesty shall be angry at his favorite eunuch injured by the likes of you." He said and pointed his long and thin finger at Hong Hai.
Hong Hai gripped the handle of his sword tighter.
Lee Yi Hong was an ex-disciple from Qing Feng Sect who went renegade.
And from what he knew, Lee Yi Hong was at stage ten of the Foundation Establishnt Level, a few stages higher than he was.
Hong Hai glanced over at Sima Ye, signaling him to get ready.
Their only advantage against Lee Yi Hong and Eunuch Xin was the abundance of Artifacts that Sima Ye had.
Sima Ye gave him a nod and Hong Hai lunged at Lee Yi Hong without any warning.
Whoosh.
Hong Hai’s figure turned into a shimr and the glare from the blade of his sword left a chilling white trail of light.
When the tip of Hong Hai’s sword got within ters of Lee Yi Hong, Lee Yi Hong fanned at him with his folding fan, and it generated a gust of strong wind at Hong Hai.
Hong Hai’s body was flung up into the air by the gust of strong wind.
But that was in fact advantageous to Sima Ye.
Sima Ye hurled the net at Lee Yi Hong.
Whoosh.
However, it missed as Lee Yi Hong leapt away from it.
Sima Ye didn’t stop and threw several silver balls in the direction of Lee Yi Hong.
Boom!
The silver balls exploded and gave out a cloud of yellow smoke.
Lee Yi Hong felt the Spirit Qi inside his body start to go haywire after he took in a breath of the yellow smoke.
"You’ll pay for this, Sima Ye!" He stared at Sima Ye and shouted.
Sima Ye wanted to hurl the net at Lee Yi Hong again, but he was too late.
Lee Yi Hong pulled Eunuch Xin to his side, and a dark glow engulfed them.
When the net hit the dark glow, it landed on it.
The scene of the dark glow being disrupted by the net and dissipating didn’t happen.
It was surprisingly impervious to Sima Ye’s Nine Turn Yin Net.
The figures of Lee Yi Hong and Eunuch Xin had disappeared from within the dark glow instead.
"They got away." Sima Ye cursed and pulled back the net.
Hong Hai ca over to him and said, "Don’t worry, senior martial brother.
"I’ve landed the Qing Feng tracking mark on Eunuch Xin.
"We should be able to track where they are going and eliminate them once reinforcents arrive."
Sima Ye nodded his head, glanced back at the tent and said, "Let’s check on the others first."
The white glowing wall was now gone, with Liu Shao, Heng, and Lin Xuan Qi having exhausted their Spirit Qi and Five-Elent Qi.
Liu Shao and Heng were sitting on the ground looking perturbed.
They didn’t know what the Qi they had felt was.
It was nothing like what they’d seen before.
"Are you a cultivator?" Liu Shao glanced at Lin Xuan Qi and asked.
He had known Sima Long for so long, and he was sure that Sima Long didn’t have any Spirit Root to cultivate.
The only possible person to possess that mysterious Qi was Lin Xuan Qi.
"No, I’m not a cultivator." Lin Xuan Qi shook his head and waved his hands at Liu Shao, denying that it was him.
"Then, how was it possible that this turtle artifact increased its power suddenly? I felt another presence of Qi just now." Liu Shao said and glanced at Heng.
Heng nodded his head and said, "This turtle shell artifact had never done sothing like what had happened just now. I also felt the presence of another type of Qi."
Lin Xuan Qi frowned and said, "I don’t understand what you are talking about. I don’t think I have any Spirit Root in ."
It got Liu Shao and Heng thinking and doubting themselves.
Sima Ye, who was listening to the conversation all this while, intruded and said, "I can try and see if you have any Spirit Root right now. That should clear up the confusion."
"I think that’s a great idea. Liu Shao or Heng might have unleashed their hidden potential unknowingly." Lin Xuan Qi said.
He was confident that Sima Ye wouldn’t be able to detect any Spirit Root in him.
Sima Ye took out a clear crystal sphere from his sleeve pocket and held it out to Lin Xuan Qi.
"Here, put your hand onto this sphere."
Lin Xuan Qi did as he was instructed and placed his hand onto the crystal sphere.
Everyone in the tent looked on with anticipation.
