Liu Shi Shi was also excited about what he was up to and she sat down onto a chair and said, "Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll be sothing great."
Lin Xuan Qi nodded and said, "Rember the taste I’ve always reminisced about.
"Today, we shall see if I’ve successfully replicated it."
He said and glanced at the entrance, stretching out his neck.
All he could think about for now was the taste he had longed for ever since he ca to the Da Qian Dynasty.
What was easily available back then was now so difficult to have.
And even if he tried to replicate them, they were only rudintary versions of what it was.
The only consolation for him was that he was going to have a wife and concubine, with two more concubines in line.

Finally, Auntie Sue entered the dining hall with a servant girl behind her.
"Master Lin, I’ve cooked them according to your instructions." She said while the servant girl placed the dishes onto the table.
There were three dishes which were fried at, dumplings and fried vegetables.
The others saw that the dishes looked visually the sa as before and they wondered whether it was the sa for the taste.
But Lin Xuan Qi couldn’t wait, he picked up his chopsticks imdiately and went for a piece of at.
He put the at into his mouth and munched on it.
As usual, the culinary skills of Auntie Sue were exemplary and the tenderness and flavor from the at itself was preserved to its max.
But now, there was sothing else on top of these tastes.
Lin Xuan Qi tasted the familiar taste he got from MSG back where he ca from.
It tasted like heaven for him.
He closed his eyes and savored every mont of it before opening his eyes again to pick up another piece of at.
When the others saw his reaction, they were also curious and they picked up the at, dumplings and vegetables.
At first they didn’t feel much and it was the sa to them.

This new taste enhanced the taste of the dish and made them want more of it.
"Master Lin, like so much." Zhi Yong was full of smiles while he munched on the at he had in his mouth.
It was so delicious he picked up more of the at even before he had swallowed the at inside.
Xue Cong, Yue Jie, Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi were lost for words.
And they focused on the food.
Seeing how it was, Auntie Sue was curious and she asked, "Master Lin, what was that thing you’ve asked to add into the dishes?"
"Oh that... I haven’t thought of a na for it. If you want to you can cook sothing and try it out." Lin Xuan Qi replied.
He wasn’t about to na it MSG to the people of the Da Qian Dynasty and so he had to think up sothing first.
And it would be great if he let Auntie Sue figure out the right portion to use for cooking the dishes.
Auntie Sue felt more than honored to be able to taste the novelty item.
"Thanks Master Lin. I will try it out."
Lin Xuan Qi nodded and said, "If there’s enough left, use it for the dishes at the wedding dinner."
He had an idea and the wedding dinner might be a great opportunity for him to introduce the MSG to those attending the wedding dinner.
And as they spoke, the others didn’t stop their eating.
It was so good.
Lin Xuan Qi had to quickly get back to the food before it ran out.
And while he ate, a voice sounded at the entrance of the dining hall.
"Master Lin, there’s soone called Madam Sai at the gate requesting to enter."
A guard entered the dining hall and bowed at him.
He was new from the latest batch of guards and so he didn’t know who Madam Sai was.
When Xue Cong, Yue Jie, Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi heard that it was Madam Sai, their chopsticks froze in the air and they stopped.
The realization that the wedding was tomorrow finally hit them.
Earlier they were busy with the preparations and it was a sort of escape from what was about to happen for them.
Lin Xuan Qi held the hands of Xue Cong and Yue Jie to comfort them and said to the guard, "Welco her in."
The guard bowed and turned around, heading straight back to the gates.
Xue Cong and Yue Jie glanced at him and nodded their heads while they waited.
Soon, the familiar voice of Madam Sai bood in the dining hall.
Even though it was at the beginning of autumn, she had sweat on her forehead and she used her handkerchief to wipe it off.
She glanced around at the decorations put up, nodded approvingly and said, "Everything is well done."
Lin Xuan Qi stood up and said, "It was all thanks to your help."
He wanted to pass her so pieces of silver for her help but she refused.
"You can give a red packet tomorrow on the wedding day itself." She said with her handkerchief covering her mouth, as if she was shy about it.
Giving out red packets was a gesture with auspicious aning in the Da Qian Dynasty.
But other than the red packets, the much more common currency was taels or pieces of silver after that.
Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and replied, "How absentminded of , I will make sure of it tomorrow.
"What else do we need to do today?"
Madam Sai waved her handkerchief around and said, "First you are not supposed to see the brides for the rest of the day.
"The brides can follow to prepare for tomorrow.
"As for you, you need to prepare the gifts for the guests, the necessary items you need to take the hands of the brides.
"Here is a list of the items."
She said and passed Lin Xuan Qi a piece of paper.
