Code Golden: Gundam War Chapter 245 - 120: The Captured Prince

Squads of Strike Daggers rushed towards approaching squads of GINNs and several squads of new machines that the Earth Alliance had not seen before.

"Heh, just as Admiral said! They have new machines! Boys prepare for a serious combat!" The squad leader exclaid loudly as the Strike Daggers began to perform evasive manoeuvres.

The difference between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance this ti around is that the squads act like proper squads. Leaders are the 105s, and they command their units to support each other.

That ans not only GINN and new GuAIZ units have to deal with enemies twice their size, but also with units that behave like actual soldiers with specific roles.

Marcus hamred his troops with training, utilising a bit of his Imperial thods. Making them more than simple cannon fodder.

And so even the combat picked up pace. But then a yellow bolt of lightning slapped into a new GuAIZ, causing it to explode like a firework.

It was snipe from the fleet itself where Lacus was leading a group of new 105s special forces that utilise long-range rail guns as snipers.

'Damn… It's like each battle, we are getting better and better at this.' Mu La Flaga observed the battle before him.

Each fight, Marcus Anaheim pulls sothing new that makes the enemy scramble to keep up. At the sa ti, he provokes them along the way. Like now, pretending that he doesn't give fuck and not to launch at all.

In the previous fight, he was the first on the battlefield.

All the subtle, small things that add up to create this war machine.

Marcus, Jeanne, Kira and Cagalli flew from below towards the Boaz asteroid base.

They slipped by before accelerating towards the asteroid.

"SIR! We have problems! Detecting heat sources! Three of them! Its Testant, Strike and Aegis!" The officer inside the asteroid's command centre said in a nervous tone.

"Damn! They tricked us, and they slipped by! Scramble defences!"

With that said, the fortified doors opened and GINN squads launched to intercept…

But they missed one crucial thing. There was another machine there. Invisible one, that waited for the gates to open.

The mont the GINNs left, Blitz slipped inside. It was an empty base, and the ch soon revealed itself before dumbstruck chanics and engineers.

'Oh shit!!'

The Black Gundam's blue eyes glowed for a second as it pointed its Trikerios shield and needles launched from it right into the hangar's command, blowing it up. Then it rushed deeper into the base.

The asteroid base began experiencing chain explosions as Jeanne launched her rampage.

"Oh my, it seems Jeanne is having fun. We shouldn't fall behind." Marcus comnted as his Testant pulled out its blade from the scabbard.

"Yeah! Let's see who blows up more enemies!" Cagalli exclaid as her Aegis transford into a claw and grabbed first GINN before blowing it up at point-blank range.

'Damn you, sister, there is no need to rampage like that.'

Kira thought to himself as he began to snipe with his shots. The pilot of Strike utilised his inborn gifts by using his Geass.

Marcus can sense that, from the very beginning, Kira was utilising his eyes.

'Well, he needs to learn.'

With that, the Testant rushed to take out the asteroid defences while his kids took out the army.

As he was slicing through beam turrets, squads of mobile suits from the defence fleet were approaching where Kira and Cagalli were.

'Hmm? Is that Athrun?' Kira looked at several squads of GINN, the new mass-produced model and other Gundams.

'They made more of those stolen gundams?'

The brown-haired teen frowned as he went to face them.

The fight proceeded just like last ti, Kira's absurd abilities caused Duel to lose its weapon, and then Buster suffered the sa, but then Aegis burst towards Strike.

'What the…'

Kira's eyes widened as he wasn't expecting Athrun to do that!

'H-He wants to capture !?'

All the futures that he saw at the mont were him getting captured!

Once Aegis holds it in its claw, it's practically impossible to get from it.

Not that Kira gave up, as he was about to go for a beam saber before the Aegis could get close.

But a white mobile suit, one of the new mass-produced models, opened fire and blasted through Strike's hand.

'Tsk!'

Kira grimaced as he lost a hand, then Aegis grabbed him.

"Release , Athrun!"

"You are coming with us, Kira!"

"Are you insane? What are you doing?" Kira complained as his Gundam struggled.

But the squad swiftly rushed back to Vesalius, abandoning Boaz.

ZAFT just used one of their critical defensive lines to get a single pilot.

To so, such sacrifice is absurd, but for others, who are desperate, it was worth it.

However, even then, it was not easy, as Kira ignited the thrusters and began to fry Aegis basically. Athrun, inside the cockpit, realised that he was getting cooked alive, so he had no choice but to release Kira.

Though not before contacting his Commander, who was piloting the white GuAIZ.

"Commander, my Aegis can't hold him any longer; the thrusters of Strike are lting the fra."

"Understood, we have no choice but to disable it then."

While it didn't sound difficult, Kira wasn't going down that easily as the mont Aegis let Strike go, the Gundam went on offence, using the only available hand to pull out a beam saber and rushing towards Aegis.

However, Kira underestimated how serious Athrun was this ti around.

Aegis ignited all four of its limbs that have beam sabers and went to cut Strike anyway it could.

Still, even then, Kira and its absurd abilities made it hard to get him down. Athrun literally went limb for limb.

Sacrificing a leg and a hand just to get rid of Strike's one hand.

But then Rau Le Creuset smirked as he joined the fight and went for an actual killing blow. Targeting the cockpit.

Kira's eyes widened as he moved Strike just a bit to the side, and the blast hit the area just next to him.

'S-Shit…he really went all of a sudden for my life…' At that mont, Kira passed out as he was injured.

"Kira!!!"

Athrun panicked as his orders were to capture him, not kill him!

"C-Commander!?"

Rau frowned as he was surprised. What the hell with that reaction speed? This kid is a monster!

"He is still alive; bring him to Vesalius."

"R-Right!"

Aegis used its remaining hand to push Strike towards Vesalius while Rau looked at Boaz. He wonders if anyone will pursue them.

Sure enough… The blonde man saw a streak of black and purple…rushing towards him! A cold chill passed through his spine!

"Squads one to five with ! We are to hold the line!" The masked blonde man barked orders as squads of GINN and several GuAIZ rushed towards his location to assist.

Seconds later, the black and purple Gundam slashed through GINNs like it was nothing.

'What is with that technology!? How can the blade grow in size!?' Rau Le Creuset thought with a sweaty forehead as his new GuAIZ was struggling to evade and dodge the slashes. He tried to fight back with his natural instincts, but he could barely keep up!

Then the enemy machine just got faster as it began leaving afterimages. He could barely react as error ssages began popping up on his screen.

'S-Shit, he took off my dominant hand!' Rau Le Creuset complained to himself as he tried to make so space, not that he had a chance; it's like Marcus Anaheim was standing right beside him, and he could hear him breathing.

Thankfully, his support arrived as over twenty mobile suits began to assist him.

'Good! Maybe we can pin him—'

At that mont, GINN began to drop like flies, limbs flying left and right!

'...'

The masked man didn't wait as he rushed away.

But in re monts, Marcus Anaheim was right beside him once more!

'Tsk!'

Rau Le Creuset went between warships, as he decided to weave right through them.

One of the Laurasia-class got in the way at that mont, the black and purple mobile suit's output spiked to absurd levels as the ch's purple blade beca massive as it cleaved through the ZAFT warship.

The slash was clean as the warship fell apart into two pieces. The next mont, a massive explosion followed as Marcus Anaheim just took out a Frigate with a simple physical sword!

'...'

The masked man looked on in wide-eyed amazent as he saw the Gundam floating there. Behind it was the explosion; it looked as if the machine were staring right into his soul.

'Maybe… provoking him was not the best decision on our part.'

Rau Le Creuset rarely feels sothing like fear. Most of the ti, hatred helps him push through, but now…

'Shit, he is still pursuing !'

The White GuAIZ tried to run away, and thankfully, the display of power caused ZAFT to concentrate on Marcus.

Over forty machines rushed towards him.

The masked man used that chance to disappear.

Athrun looked with wide eyes at what was happening at Boaz.

It was an utter bloodbath!

"Sir! We have been instructed to retreat Jachin Due! The first line is lost!"

The Captain said to Athrun.

"Then do it. Where is Commander?"

"He has retreated to one of the Laurasia Class. Testant Gundam was chasing him through the battlefield.

We can confirm that it was Marcus Anaheim, thanks to open channel conversations."

'He no doubt saw Commander shoot Kira.' Athrun thought with a sweaty forehead.

"Inform the command that we acquired one of the Anaheim; we need a transporter for Kira and imdiate dical attention."

"Understood, contacting the Command."

With that said, Vesalius was one of the first and one of the last to leave Boaz, as Testant Gundam has utterly shredded most of the defensive line, and the finishing blow was the arriving warships with Mobile suit escort.

It was a crushing victory for the Earth Alliance.

As the Nazca Class Destroyer rushed away, three warships intercepted it: one Nazca Class and two Laurasia Class.

"Sir. They are here to pick up the Anaheim we have." The Comms officer said to Athrun and the Captain.

'...'

Athrun had this strange feeling that sothing was odd, but he followed the command.

But then he relaxed when he saw that it was Andrew Waltfeld, the Desert Tiger; he was one of the best commanders in ZAFT's short history.

Sure enough, the exchange happened.

"Commander, I thought Military Command stationed you in Africa," Athrun asked with a surprised tone.

"I thought the sa thing, but the victories that were piling up on the Earth Alliance's side caused to redeploy back to space."

"...Oh, makes sense. Are you here to pick up Anaheim?"

The Commander smiled mysteriously as he slightly nodded.

"Indeed. Don't worry, you can reinforce the defence line in Jachin Due until further notice."

Arhrun saluted as he returned to his ship with his fellow ZAFT red coats.

Though soon he will learn that Andrew Waltfeld went rogue, as the military command didn't instruct the Desert Tiger to take care of Kira Anaheim.

In truth, it was a splinter group rebelling against Patrick Zala's radical rule.

Without even realising, the situation beca even more critical for the radical Supre Council Chairman of PLANTs.

"What do you an you gave him to Andrew Waltfield!? I gave no such command!"

Patrick Zala was screaming to his son over the video call. Athrun wanted to inform his father of the successful operation.

Kira might have ended up wounded, but he was still alive.

Yet, from the looks of it… Things didn't go the way Athrun hoped.

"But… he intercepted us… and he said he was here to pick Kira Anaheim…"

"You fool! It would seem he betrayed us and joined the Earth Alliance! I want him captured! Do you hear !?"

"I am ordering a search party! Capture Andrew Waltfield and Kira Anaheim, at once!" Patrick Zala barked his orders, and soon enough, a small fleet ford around Vesalius.

Their mission is to capture or eliminate the traitor and recover Kira Anaheim.
