Everyone sat silently as they watched Marcus just sit there and tap his finger on the table.
No one dared to speak up after they learned that ZAFT had taken his son hostage. It was unexpected. But it made sense. After all, Marcus ransod their children. But they doubt that is what ZAFT would do.
No, they will use him to make the Earth Alliance stop their attack.
That is the most logical action they could take.
"There is sothing that I want to address." All of a sudden, Marcus began to speak, and everyone straightened their backs. It was instinctual.
"Ever since Patrick Zala's election, even before that, he worked on sothing called Genesis." The Boss of Earth Alliance showed the gathered people a picture of a satellite-like dish on a screen.
"This is a super weapon that will burst Earth's atmosphere like a bubble upon shooting."
"!!!"
"W-Why are we hearing about this only now!?" One of the Admirals asked with a pale expression on his face.
"That's because you don't need to know," Marcus replied with a leisurely tone.
"This thing is being built at Jachin Due behind powerful Mirage Colloid projectors.
Now, originally, this was an energy projector with original intentions to launch ships into deep space. Like Mars, for example.
That is why Patrick Zala was able to build it up so fast. There was already existing infrastructure for it." The Disguised Emperor explained to them.
"Regardless, why am I explaining all of this is that I will blow it to kingdom co. Jeanne, your Blitz will take one of the nukes and will launch it once we are close to Jachin Due.
I think it's ti we take this a bit more seriously after what they pulled in Boaz." Marcus hinted at sothing with an annoyed tone.
Everyone was speechless to hear that! Marcus is finally pulling out the nukes!
Jeanne slightly nodded as she looked at him.
"I assu this is because Blitz can turn invisible." The red-haired knight comnted.
"Indeed, you will use the ongoing battle to your advantage and launch the nuke. The chanics will design a model of a launcher that will work with Blitz."
"Understood, leave it to ."
After the initial reveal of Genesis, the conversation moved towards the battle itself.
Much of it didn't change as the battle will be in waves to abuse their superior numbers and wider selection of loadouts.
Once the debriefing ended, Cagalli looked at her father.
"And what about Kira?" She asked him; only Lacus and she were in the room with him.
"What about him?"
"They kidnapped him!" The black-haired girl complained; they pissed her off! She wanted to use her Aegis and fly right to the PLANTs and get him back.
"Use your senses and not emotions. Just focus on him." Marcus looked towards a specific direction; his daughter did the sa.
The mont she did that, she relaxed.
"So he is fine. From what I feel, there is no danger to his life." She comnted on what she could pick up.
"Indeed."
'Main character luck sure is a thing even when he is the son of an Anti-hero.' Marcus snorted. He wonders whether SEED mode is an indicator of so higher form of destiny. His Lacus has it; now the question is whether the younger Lacus has it.
~~~~~~anwhile~~~~~~
*Groan*
Kira slowly opened his eyes. For a second, he was confused. But then he was about to scramble to sit down, but he stopped as pain washed over him.
"Relax, Mr Kira."
'That voice… and the way she says my na.' He imdiately knew who it was.
"...Ms Clyne." He looked to the side and saw the pinkette standing next to his bed.
"...How did I appear here? We are in the PLANTs?" The brown-haired teen comnted as he looked around.
"You got captured and were about to be transferred into the custody of ZAFT Defence Council. I can only assu they wanted to use you to stop the impending attack on Jachin Due and then the PLANTs." Lacus said with an uncertain look.
"...Use … wait! Is it related to the fact that Athrun and his co-pilots got captured by my father?"
"...I can assu that Patrick Zala wanted a form of revenge and, at the sa ti, to use you as a hostage to stop the attack." The pinkette said to him.
"...and why do they think anything like that would work?" Kira frowned as he was not certain it would work.
"Fufufu, it did work. Not the way Patrick Zala wanted." The girl chuckled, seeing Kira's expression.
"From what I understood, your father chased Commander, who is responsible for the abduction, around the whole battlefield." She explained, but then she got sad.
"Sadly, a lot of people died on that battlefield, a lot of coordinators to be exact."
"...I see… what are you going to do to , now that you have captured ?"
His question confused her.
"...I am not ZAFT." She slightly pouted, realising that he was accusing her of sothing.
"..."
"Once you heal, I can send you back to your army." Lacus smiled at him.
The mont she ntioned the army, he trembled.
'Do I even want to return there?'
"...What is it?" She looked confused at his reaction.
"I am not like my father, who is a great conqueror, even if I possess his abilities." Kira looked at his hand as he realised that his recovery spiked all of a sudden; it would seem it was related to his consciousness. Is this one of the Innovator abilities?
"...Great…Conqueror?" The girl was a bit confused.
"...I know he is one of the greatest geniuses of this century… but Conqueror?" She frowned, at the sa ti realising that he was not lying. But that makes no sense; there has been no great war since the Reconstruction War, which was over 70 years ago.
Even then, there were no great conquerors.
When Kira heard that, he slightly grimaced; it would seem he said too much.
"...Well… would you believe if I told you that I am half an alien?"
"..."
She stared at him for a couple of seconds. That stare was like she was doing a scan of so sort.
"...It would explain a great deal," Lacus comnted as she realised that it would explain the other Lacus' abilities. In a sense… her 'older sister' was 'more' than she ever was!
And not just the bust size! Nope! She is not thinking about that!
"...my father is a Conqueror of his world. He united the humanity of his world. When he did that, he made humans of his world focus on the sole purpose of space exploration.
From his stories alone, I can tell that their civilisation is far, far more advanced than ours is. They have proper interstellar travel, so humans live in Alpha Centauri…" Kira explained, looking down at the blanket.
"...That is quite sothing… it does explain his abilities to create such a successful company."
"...It does. But it's not just that. Their humans are evolved. I am what is called an Innovator." As he said that, he looked at her, his eyes morphing into his Innovator eyes.
Now that made Lacus' eyes widen in surprise.
"..."
"And that's not all. Many of the technologies used in my father's empire stem from research into precursor human technologies.
Technologies from long lost civilisation, and their technologies are related to sound and… even mind." As he said, he showed her his Geass bird pupils.
"These eyes are the proof that I am Marcus Anaheim's son. An Imperial Prince." He said that with a bit of spite. His hand trembled, and he was feeling like shit!
Kira wondered what his father thought about him getting captured! He most likely thinks about how useless he is.
"...I see… The question at the end of the day is what do you want to do?" Lacus smiled a bit when she said that.
"...Does it matter? There is not much I could do. ZAFT destroyed my Strike." Kira bitterly said while clenching his fist. He is especially annoyed that they blew his Gundam apart! He lost two limbs, and the cockpit needs replacing after that beam shot!
The ch is out!
"...What if you could do sothing about it?" All of a sudden, she asked him.
"...Well, I would try to end the war."
"...by helping your father conquer the PLANTs?" The girl asked him curiously. Her question made him think.
"...No, I believe that after what happened to Junius Seven, Coordinators have the right to live however they want." Kira shook his head. He saw what happened to Junius Seven.
"I see. For now, you should rest. There is not much you can do in your current state." After saying that, she left him to rest.
Kira sighed as he looked at the ceiling of the terrace where he was resting.
Midway, he realised that he would most likely end up crossing his father.
'But Coordinators deserve their freedom.'
The brown-haired prince was certain, and the mont he made up his mind, he wouldn't easily change his opinion.
The question is, how can he stop a literal conflict and a war?
~~~
Marcus looked at the emptiness of the void.
'I see, well, it's in your blood to rebel against your father.'
The Disguised Emperor chuckled as he realised what was going on. It would seem the world was entering this specific tiline.
As soone who sees countless variations, he can tell where they are going.
"I can assu you are checking up on your baby boy." Lacus snuggled into his side.
"Am I that predictable?" He shook his head for a second, then looked at his wife.
"...In a way. You're always checking up on your kids in your own way." The pinkette said with a slightly amused tone.
"Hmm, indeed. It would seem I picked that up from my old man. He used to camp in a thought elevator and watch the world from there."
"...You can do that?" She looked surprised to hear that.
There is quite a bit she doesn't understand about that particular technology.
"In a way, you can." Marcus nodded at her as his hand went around her waist.
"...Though it would seem my son is rebelling against ."
"...Oh my…" She looked at him while comnting with a surprised tone.
"The youngest one is the most rebellious of them." She said with a bit of tease.
"It would seem so. But that's fine. He is a Prince, and as a Prince, he has the right to his own opinions, especially in this particular place.
I do not care about this Earth; uniting all nations is the best long-term solution. It's the most logical solution, but if he wants to pick one based on his emotions, that's fine too.
But there is one thing that I will do." Marcus slightly narrowed his eyes.
"...You will test him… poor thing." Lacus shook her head. She can already imagine what Kira will think.
As a psychic, she can tell what people think when they face her husband in combat. They either develop PTSD or… die.
One of those, anything else… well, she has not sensed in this conflict, yet.
"It is what it is. We need to test his resolve." Marcus stroked Lacus's back as he said to her.
"...Indeed. Well, I hope he has that resolve."
"Precisely."

As Marcus had his conversation with his pinkette wife, Boaz got fortified by the Earth Alliance and beca their fortress.
Logistic ships arrived one after another to rebuild it. At that sa ti, more warships and troops joined the massive fleet that Marcus was building.
One would say that it should be harder to control a fleet with over 60 warships. But it was Marcus who began to enjoy the growing challenge, and finally, he will be able to conquer the PLANTs.
He would never have this chance again. Well, he could try visiting another reality just to fulfil a dream from his first life.
Well, he already fulfilled one: the conquest of the Gundam 00 verse and the acquisition of GN Drive technology, but Seed's conquest was sothing he had dread of long ago.
Well, more like getting the Songtress, which he did, but it would seem he will have a chance to conquer the world in this reality as well.
