Alice’s heart tightened and she stood up in a panic, for he was already standing in front of her.
He was just a head taller than her, now leaning down, looking at her slightly fearful face.
The closeness of their breaths made Alice, who hadn’t been this close to him for a long ti, feel a bit uncomfortable.
Alice suppressed the anxiety in her heart, trying her best to keep calm as she raised her eyes to look at him, nervous, her chest slightly heaving.
Chester hooked a finger, lifting Alice’s beautiful chin, "Are you mad at ?"
Alice coldly stared at him, silent.
Chester chuckled softly, but his gaze towards Alice carried a hint of chill, his lips gliding slowly, "You don’t have the right to be mad at , because the one who should be angry is ."
In the past, she only saw him as the brother who could give her warmth and support. Whenever she faced difficulties, she would think of relying on him. But since she learned of his true identity, she realized that soone like him was not soone she could touch, because he had never been her loving doctor brother. He was a wise, thoughtful, and even slightly dark-minded person. Despite spending over a decade with him, she never discerned any traces of it, so she had to wake up quickly from her misguided path.
Chester’s gaze made Alice feel a sense of danger; she watched him warily, saying nothing further.
At that mont, Chester slowly released Alice’s chin and turned to Keith Antony beside him, "Call Aunt PA over for ."
Keith Antony nodded his head and turned away.
Alice’s face was paler than before, her tone becoming indifferent, "What do you want to do?"
Chester raised an eyebrow, "What do you think?"
"I don’t know, but I won’t allow you to harm Rachel."
Chester sneered and smiled, his deep, enigmatic black eyes eting Alice’s gaze, "Alice, Rachel is also my daughter. Even a tiger doesn’t eat its own cubs; why would I harm her?"
Alice bit her lip, knowing that if he really wanted to do sothing, she wouldn’t be able to resist him.
