At this mont, Aunt PA ca down from the second floor, carrying Rachel, followed by Keith Antony.
Aunt PA appeared excited yet sowhat incredulous upon seeing Chester Robinson. "Mr. Chester?"
Chester’s gaze went to Aunt PA, but ultimately fixed on the little girl in Aunt PA’s arms.
The little girl seed to notice Chester as well. She looked at Chester with her big, curious eyes, blinking her eyelashes adorably.
It had been half a year since Chester last saw Rachel...
Yet, this was the second ti Chester had seen Rachel since she was born.
This ti, Rachel’s features were even more exquisite compared to six months ago, resembling her mother closely, but traces of her father’s features were noticeable in her brow.
Alice Robinson’s heart was taut with an inexplicable fear—fearful that Chester might hurt Rachel.
"Mr. Chester, you’re finally back..." PA’s excited voice started to echo.
However, Chester’s gaze was sowhat cold.
The little girl kept looking at Chester, curious about this stranger she had only t once, but had no impression of. She blurted out, "Daddy..."
The single word "Daddy" from the little girl made Alice Robinson gasp in surprise, and Chester’s body tensed slightly.
Fortunately, PA quickly broke the deadlock, "Rachel, he’s not ’Daddy,’ he’s called ’Uncle’... you should call him Uncle."
The little girl was very obedient, and upon hearing Aunt PA’s instructions, she changed her sweet voice imdiately, "Uncle..."
Chester’s expression grew colder, showing rare displeasure in front of others.
PA didn’t notice Chester’s expression and brought Rachel closer to Chester, "Rachel, quickly call Uncle..."
Rachel once again said, imperfectly enunciating, "Uncle..."
However, Chester’s gaze swept past Rachel’s pretty face at this mont.
Disgust, indifference, was what Alice saw in Chester’s eyes as he looked towards Rachel.
Rachel seed to sense this "Uncle" didn’t like her and awkwardly stayed in Aunt PA’s arms, feeling a bit at a loss.
Alice stepped forward, taking Rachel from Aunt PA’s arms, pulling back to distance herself from Chester, saying nothing, but her face had lost all color.
Aunt PA sensed the undercurrent of estrangent between Alice and Chester and quickly explained, "Mr. Chester, don’t bla Miss Alice, it was that scoundrel who bullied her and didn’t take responsibility, so she couldn’t bear to part with the child, that’s why Rachel was born."
In the large Robinson family, everyone knew that Chester doted on Alice the most, so Aunt PA assud Chester was angry that Alice hadn’t protected herself well.
Aunt PA’s words brought a small smile to Keith Antony standing behind Chester.
Chester’s face froze slightly, turned around, and went up to the second floor.
Alice held Rachel, without looking at Chester, just kissed her daughter with love.
Aunt PA, seeing Chester head upstairs, hurriedly said, "Mr. Chester, I’ve been cleaning your room every day... Stay ho a little longer!"
Chester didn’t respond, leaving only a cold silhouette behind.
It wasn’t until Chester disappeared from the hall that Alice breathed a sigh of relief, sat down on the sofa with Rachel.
Keith Antony smiled and approached Alice, respectfully saying, "Miss Alice, the boss bought many gifts for Rachel; I’ve had the servants bring them to your room..."
The ntion of "gifts" widened Rachel’s eyes.
In that mont, Keith Antony seemingly conjured a Barbie doll out of nowhere and handed it to Rachel...
Rachel happily clapped her hands, looking so adorable.
Alice hugged Rachel, swallowed the bitter feeling in her throat, and said, "These gifts must be bought by you, right?"
Keith Antony fell silent.
Alice laughed coldly, "Thank you, but don’t do this for him again; it’s too fake."
Keith Antony tried to explain for Chester, "Miss Alice, actually the boss just..."
"Don’t say anymore, Keith Antony... Please tell directly, why is he here?" Alice pleaded, looking at Keith Antony.
Keith Antony shook his head, seriously and truthfully replied, "I can’t guess the boss’s thoughts either, but I think the boss will discuss it with you."
Alice gently bit her lip, an ominous premonition arising within her.
Aunt PA was obviously very pleased with Chester returning to France...
During dinner, Aunt PA kept saying, "I knew Mr. Chester wouldn’t leave you alone... Mr. Chester cares the most about Miss Alice; with such a big burden at ho, Mr. Chester surely wouldn’t let Miss Alice bear it."
