Alice imdiately tossed aside the pillow and got up from the sofa, her eyes eting Chester Robinson’s just as he walked in.
Apparently not expecting Alice to be waiting for him in the hall, Chester’s steps paused for a mont.
Alice ran over and affectionately took his arm, "Brother."
Chester loosened his tie and sat down on the sofa, speaking lightly, "It’s so late, why aren’t you asleep yet?"
Alice sat down beside him and said, "I was waiting for you to co back."
"Oh?" Chester Robinson’s deep gaze lingered on Alice’s face.
Alice smiled and said, "I’m going back to France tomorrow morning, early, and I’m afraid I won’t have the chance to say goodbye."
Chester intently gazed at Alice, "There’s no need for such formalities between us."
A trace of disappointnt flashed in Alice’s dim eyes, "But with this departure, we might never et again."
"You’re reluctant?"
"I..." Alice lowered her head, "It’s not that... I just worry about you being alone."
"What do you have to worry about for ?" Chester laughed softly, "It’s you who should worry... taking care of a child is not an easy task, and since you chose Rachel, you must take on the responsibility of being a mother."
"I will."
"You must keep your promise to ."
"I will." Alice looked calmly at Chester, "Rachel and I will never co to bother you again, I will take good care of Rachel."
"Good." Chester kissed Alice on the cheek, "Be good, go to sleep, you’ll have to catch the flight tomorrow."
Alice nodded, slowly releasing Chester’s arm.
Chester got up straight away, heading upstairs.
Alice watched Chester’s back, noticing that he never looked back at her.
Alice silently lowered her head, feeling her eyes inexplicably burn. In the end, she smiled, as if nothing was wrong, and followed him upstairs.
That night, Alice did not stay overnight in Chester’s room.
Alone, unable to sleep no matter what, she finally sat up, leaned against the headboard, and without turning on the light, quietly thought.

After getting up, packing her luggage, and washing up, it was half past five.
She had not brought much with her upon arriving and had only stayed here two nights, so leaving, she didn’t have much luggage to pack.
As she dragged her luggage downstairs, Keith Antony was already waiting in the hall.
Keith Antony took her luggage respectfully and said, "Miss Alice, the car is already waiting outside."
Alice nodded, turned back for a glance.
After a long while, she turned back, smiling lightly at Keith Antony, "Thank you for sending off... let’s go!"
"Alright."
Keith Antony put the luggage in the trunk and opened the car door for Alice.
Alice sat in the car, couldn’t help turning to look at the villa once more.
Keith Antony noticed Alice’s action, and after starting the engine, smiled and said, "The boss is worried about your safety alone, so he specifically asked to take you to the airport, the boss does care about you."
Alice turned her head with so disbelief and said, "You said... he cares about ?"
"Of course the boss cares about you... if he didn’t, how could he have personally carried you back in the rain, saw you had a fever, and personally took your temperature..."
"Did he do those things?" Alice’s eyes widened in astonishnt.
Keith Antony nodded with a smile, "I witnessed it myself, I wouldn’t lie to you."
