They lowered their heads, each burdened with their own thoughts, eating the white rice in their bowls, neither speaking.
After dinner, once the staff cleared away the dishes, Feng Jinglei took a bath. When she ca out, she didn’t see Qin Feimo, only noticed an extra pillow and a thin blanket on the sofa...
She turned her head but didn’t see Qin Feimo, naturally assuming he had gone to bed in the bedroom.
So, was this blanket and pillow prepared for her?
She didn’t think much of it; the room beca extraordinarily quiet. She glanced at the ti; it was already past eight.
She walked to the sofa and began to lift the thin blanket, intending to lay down.
Just then, the door suddenly opened.
She turned her head at the sound, pausing her blanket-lifting action, and saw Qin Feimo walking out of the bedroom.
She stood there, staring blankly at him holding a mobile phone and a laptop.
Seeing her hand still on the blanket, seemingly about to lift it, Qin Feimo glanced at her and walked toward the sofa.
"What are you doing?"
She was montarily stunned, staring at him blankly, "Sleeping."
He furrowed his brow and directly took hold of the corner of the blanket she was holding, "Didn’t I say? Tonight, I’ll sleep on the sofa."
After speaking, without minding her daze, he sat straight on the sofa, draping the thin blanket over his legs, and opened his laptop, appearing to handle so matters.
Watching Qin Feimo occupy the sofa alone, Feng Jinglei was still stunned, staring down at him.
When he said he’d sleep on the sofa tonight, was he serious, not joking or just saying it casually, but truly giving up the bed for her?
She glanced again at the sofa; it was European-style, not very large, but plenty spacious for her, though for soone as tall as him, sleeping there seed sowhat ’beneath his dignity’?
"Um, I can sleep on the sofa too, you don’t need to—"
"It’s getting late; if there’s nothing else, go to sleep. I still have work to do." He interrupted her without even raising his head.
Feng Jinglei stood stunned, just staring at him working intently.
He said it so clearly; if she continued speaking, she might seem like she was interrupting his work?
Thinking of this, she glanced again at Qin Feimo, choosing not to speak anymore, instead turning to head towards the bedroom.
Only when she heard the door open and close did Qin Feimo, sitting on the sofa working, raise his eyes to glance at the closed bedroom door, before returning his focus to his work.

Lying on the soft and comfortable bed, Feng Jinglei simply couldn’t fall asleep.
She didn’t know if it was her imagination; logically, the hotel bedding should be changed with new ones each day, yet lying there, she oddly felt as if she could sll Qin Feimo’s scent.
She must be overthinking it, right? Clearly, these were clean, fresh sheets; how could they still have Qin Feimo’s scent?
But...
Looking at the bed, the heated, passionate scene from last night once again surfaced in her mind.
Tossing and turning, the more she thought about it, the less sleepy she felt, finally sitting up, staring at the tightly closed bedroom door.
Checking the ti again, it was already nine forty; she wondered if Qin Feimo had finished working yet?
