Now reading: Chapter 293 294: From Today Onwards, I Am Rum! from Crossover: Becoming Japan’s Prime Minister?, a Action novel by Junkdog.

Rum knew that if he did not fight with all his might now, he would have no chance. Seeing Toru's gun aid at him, he pounced toward Toru like a maddened tiger, baring his fangs and claws.

At this critical mont, life and death hung in the balance. Regardless of success or failure, he had to act.

Because if he did nothing, he would surely die.

"Bang!"

A gunshot rang out.

Rum's body stiffened, thinking he was dead for sure.

But the next mont, he realized he was not dead.

The pain in his shoulder told him that Toru's shot had not hit a vital spot, but had hit his shoulder instead.

Did this guy miss?

Although Rum was puzzled as to why, given Toru's strength, he would still miss at this distance.

But Rum no longer cared at this mont. At this critical juncture of life and death, he unleashed all his potential.

His eyes were fierce, almost hysterical, and he opened his mouth to bite Toru's neck.

Rum knew very well that he was definitely not Toru's opponent, especially since he had not been active on the front lines for a long ti, and his body was no longer as strong as when he was young.

Moreover, having seen Toru's strength, he knew that even in his pri, he would absolutely not be his opponent.

So all he could do was take him by surprise and kill Toru in another way!

And biting off the opponent's throat with his mouth was definitely sothing Toru could not have imagined.

Rum's thoughts were good, but all his actions and thoughts were completely lost under that needle.

Rum felt a pain in his neck like a mosquito bite. Without knowing when, Vermouth had stood behind him, holding a needle in her hand, and inserted the needle into his neck.

As Vermouth pushed the syringe, the liquid inside was injected into Rum's body. Rum vaguely felt that all his muscles were paralyzed, and he also fell unconscious.

The reason Toru missed was because he did not want to kill Rum just like that. Rum still had use. His life should be given to Mary in exchange for Mary's loyalty to him.

Toru and Rum did not have any deep-seated hatred, so Toru did not care who killed Rum.

If Rum's death could bring him greater benefits, then anyone could kill him.

"Rum is old after all. If he were in his pri, I wouldn't have been able to co behind him so quietly."

Vermouth threw the syringe in her hand onto the ground. She took out a lady's cigarette and lit it, looking at Rum at her feet with a look of deep emotion.

This number two figure of the Black Organization, Rum, who had led the Black Organization for many years, thus easily beca a fish on the chopping block.

The simplicity and ease of the matter made even Vermouth sowhat disbelieving.

Toru said calmly, "It's because his strength has declined severely. I observed him for so long before, and he didn't notice."

"If he still had the strength of his youth, he would have probably noticed my gaze and hidden himself."

"Let's go, Vermouth. Take him to Mary and let Mary deal with him."

Vermouth smoked her lady's cigarette, exhaled smoke, and said, "I don't want to see Mary. You should take Rum over there."

Toru suddenly rembered that it was Vermouth who had given Mary the drug to kill her back then.

Although Mary did not die, the two could be considered enemies, and they might start fighting if they t.

Thinking of this, Toru nodded gently and did not ask Vermouth to go with him. He only said, "Then I'll leave this place for you to clean up. Don't leave any traces of us, and don't let anyone discover what happened to Rum."

Vermouth smiled sweetly. "Just leave it to . You can rest assured with my work."

Of course, Toru was relieved with Vermouth's work. He put Rum into a sack, threw him into the car's trunk, and drove to a secret base of his located in Tokyo.

After arriving, he tied Rum to a chair, with a sack over his head, and sent ssages to two people separately.

Not long after, Mary, who looked young in appearance, arrived there. Seeing that it was a safe house, she frowned and said, "Fujiwara, why did you suddenly call here?"

Toru did not speak. He moved aside, allowing Mary to see the person tied to the chair.

Toru pulled the sack off the person's head. Rum had already woken up by this ti, with a cloth strip tied over his mouth. He made muffled sounds and tried to break free from the ropes, but he could not do it at all.

"He is?"

Mary had never seen Rum and asked hesitantly.

Toru chuckled. "He is the person you are looking for."

"Rum?"

Mary's heart trembled.

Toru nodded.

Just as Mary was about to say sothing, the door of this safe house was knocked on again.

Mary's expression beca alert. Toru made a gesture for her to stay calm, walked to the door, looked outside through the peephole, and opened the door.

Standing outside was Shuichi, who was not in disguise.

Since he had already decided to kill Rum, Toru no longer needed to have Shuichi disguised, and it did not matter if he was exposed.

Anyway, since Martini had already betrayed them, it made sense that Shuichi, who was supposedly killed by Martini, was not dead.

"Shuichi?"

Mary did not expect that the person who ca here would be her eldest son.

Shuichi, who always had a stern face, also softened his expression after seeing his mother.

Although it felt a little awkward looking at the child in front of him, he still called out, "Mother."

Upon seeing Akai and his mother, Rum's expression beca increasingly fearful, and he struggled even more violently.

Toru took out a small box from his chest pocket, which contained two needles.

He pointed to the two needles and said, "These are drugs invented by the Central Intelligence Agency. This needle is similar to a truth serum and can control the secretion of brain hormones to make people tell the truth."

"The drug in this needle amplifies a person's pain sensation without causing them to lose consciousness."

"You can use these drugs to get the information you want from Rum, as well as the details about the death of your loved one."

"Afterward, you can treat Rum however you want. I have only one requirent. He must die here today."

"As the Queen of MI6, I believe Mary, you must have very skilled thods, right?"

What Toru referred to as thods were the cruel ans of torturing prisoners mastered by those spy organizations.

Mary sneered. "Don't worry. Rum will definitely die here, and it will definitely be the most painful death."

Shuichi frowned. As an FBI agent, he was still a little unaccustod to these thods, but he did not say anything either. Rum deserved this fate.

Leaving the room and Rum to the mother and son, Toru gently closed the door and ca to the corridor.

He took out Rum's phone, rubbed the screen with his finger for a while, and then sent a ssage within an application.

[I am Rum. Martini has betrayed us. Everyone imdiately find his whereabouts and kill him on sight!]

Toru also sent a photo in the software, but it was a photo of Toru after he was disguised.

"From now on, I am Rum, and Martini will beco a dead man."

With his hands in his pockets, he stood on a high floor of the apartnt, gazing at the bustling streetscape of Tokyo. The afterglow of the setting sun shone down, casting a faint glow upon him.
