"How are things on your end?" Jeming asked.

"No issues on my side, lucky . I ca in close to Victor, and now we've already t up. We'll see you soon!"

Amy's voice ca from the communication witchcraft, followed by Victor's voice beside him.

"But Jeming, be careful. There was an explosion just as Victor and I t up. If we hadn't had our protective magic on all the ti, it could've been dangerous." Amy's voice was filled with lingering fear.

"I didn't expect this plane to be so dangerous. We have to be cautious."

Just now?

Explosion?

Opening the communication witchcraft's screen, Jeming looked at the distance between them, compared it with the trajectory of the energy bullet just now, and his eyelid twitched.

"Jeming?"

Not hearing a response for a long ti, Amy asked in confusion.

Glancing at the giant beast's corpse swaying beside him, Jeming cleared his throat, pretending nothing had happened:

"I better co to you. I can move faster. Is it safe around you? If it's safe enough, stay put, I'll be right there!"

"There shouldn't be a problem. The explosion seed to have scared away the surrounding beasts..."

"Alright! I'll be there soon!"

Without waiting for a response from Amy, Jeming decisively cut off the communication and activated the mobile talisman witchcraft artifact, rushing in the direction of the previous coordinates.

...

...

A primitive and mixed aura perated the eastern forests of the Elorcia Continent.

Today, this jungle was much livelier than usual, with new screams and explosions echoing from afar.

Jeming wasted no ti, using the Eye of the Micro-Light to swiftly lock onto two familiar lights—Amy and Victor.

They weren't far from him, with their backs against a giant tree, scanning their surroundings vigilantly, clearly waiting for sothing.

"Amy! Victor!"

The familiar voice echoed in the chaotic forest, causing Amy to turn his head abruptly.

Seeing Jeming erge from the shadow of a massive ancient tree, the tension in their nerves finally eased.

"Jeming, you're alright too! That's great!" Amy quickly charged forward, eyes filled with delight.

Victor stumbled over, looking a bit pale, seemingly affected by the earlier explosion: "You finally made it!"

After the three reunited, Jeming's gaze swept over the two. Amy's clothes were sowhat disheveled, apparently having just experienced a battle.

Victor looked rather haggard, with his wizard robe torn and dust all over him. Fortunately, there were no visible injuries on him, suggesting he was caught off guard and fell to the ground.

"This place isn't suitable for a long stay, we're too conspicuous." Jeming nodded at the two and quickly said, "Let's leave here and find a place where we can stand."

The two naturally had no objections and nodded in agreent.

Jeming, relying on the real-ti map feedback from the Eye of the Micro-Light, guided the two through the dense forest, avoiding most of the dangerous areas.

Along the way, the distant sounds of witchcraft booms and magical beast wails occasionally reached them, indicating the chaos the apprentices were experiencing.

After traversing a short distance, the three found a concealed cave to rest for a while.

They easily dealt with the cave's original owner, covered the entrance slightly, and lit a fire.

The faint glimr of the fire illuminated their faces, easing the atmosphere a bit.

"What should we do next?" Victor was the first to speak.

Amy and Victor were both skilled at collaborating with others, so they took the initiative to propose ideas.

"This plane is far more dangerous than we imagined." Amy lowered his head in thought, "Moreover, we haven't fully mastered this plane. High-tier creatures might appear at any mont. We're all third-level apprentices, and with this capability, it's too risky here."

Jeming leaned against the rock wall, nodding in agreent: "Indeed, so there are two urgent tasks."

He held up two fingers, "First, find the main wizard forces. As you saw, the plane's external passage seems to be entirely controlled by those divine spirits. In tis of ergency, our only chance to leave is to rely on a stable teleportation array established by the main forces."

"I agree with that. Venturing blindly will only cut off our retreat; it'd be the stupidest move." Victor imdiately concurred, "And given our current strength, carelessness in this plane could easily be fatal. Finding the main forces would offer so cover and resupply."

"The second point..." Jeming's tone shifted, with a hint of seriousness, "is to advance to the first level official wizard."

Due to the contracts they signed when they joined the academy, to enhance themselves as much as possible, the students generally remained at the level of third-level wizard apprentices, only choosing to advance after ten years.

So for those taking the exam this ti, they're all third-level wizard apprentices, having accumulated considerable experience at this level.

Amy was montarily taken aback before understanding: "Advance? That's right..."

Victor showed little reaction, clearly having contemplated this before:

"Indeed, it was the contract restrictions that prevented us from advancing to first level official wizards, but in this full-scale war scenario, the contract limits aren't unbendable."

Jeming nodded as well: "The workshop's assessnt lasts a full year. Clearly, it had anticipated this. We're all third-level apprentices now, and advancing to a first level wizard can greatly enhance combat ability."

Even without new knowledge, the gap between a first level official wizard and a third-level apprentice is insurmountable.

Spiritual power reserves, control intensity, elental activity thresholds, and the natural evolution of witchcraft models...

These are advantages that can't be matched at the apprentice level.

Even for Jeming, advancing to a first level official wizard would be a significant boost in combat prowess.

In the face of real plane wars, one's own strength is paramount.

"So, we have a clear direction for our next steps." Jeming summarized, "One is to find the wizard's base or main forces, the other is to advance to a first level official wizard... Have you prepared the promotion potion?"

"I've prepared it, but I didn't carry it with ." Amy's expression showed so distress.

After all, heading to a new plane without a spatial ring ant each wizard apprentice could only carry limited supplies.

Moreover, most apprentices speculated that this assessnt was likely to involve planar warfare, making it even more unlikely to bring promotion potions along.

However, few anticipated the examination would last an entire year, leading many apprentices to feel sowhat unprepared.
