Within the Infinite Space, a ten-ter tri-colored Life Bane Wheel was revolving in front of Jacob like a celestial ring; the three sections, black, white, and purple, were pulsing, especially the purple section; there seed to be sothing squirming inside.
An unknown ghostly glyph seed to be slowly manifesting within the purple section, Spectral Despair, and Jacob's eyes were fixed on it as if he were obsessed.
But just as that glyph was about to manifest, the Spectral Despair trembled, and the glyph instantly shattered.
Jacob's eyes flickered with a hint of uncertainty, and he started to mutter sothing into an active wisdom to in his hand, "Evolution of Spectral Despair Trial-5th, failed again! The aspect of Spectral Despair still failed to assimilate the structure of the Ghost Form. It's always failed at 50%, and after the fifth try, I'm sure the Spectral Despair lacks negative life force cognition. Nonetheless, I can feel the Spectral Despair is becoming more refined. I also manage to get important data with the eyes…"
The wisdom to in his hand shone brightly as Jacob recorded his insights into it, which couldn't be explained with words. It was a unique function of Legendary King Rank Wisdom To, and he not only got the formula to make it, but the Myriad Galaxy King also had many finished products in his treasury.
After recording at this point, Jacob retracted the Life Bane Wheel. The mont the giant manifestation vanished, a fragile body fell to the ground—it was Alma!
However, unlike her majestic and imposing self, Alma's ethereal, transparent skin was now wilted and almost seed like a layer of mbrane, and her bone structure almost seed to be filled with black fissures. Her hair was thin and lifeless, and the ghostly light in her eyes seed to be on the verge of vanishing.
Jacob looked at Alma with no emotion, just a calculative glimr. His focus was on the glyph and her unique orbits. Although she seed to be on the verge of death, the glyph seed to be keeping her alive without showing any signs of waning.
"I must say, the growth-type magic core is sothing else. This is the entire reason for you awakening your Ghost Form, and it's completely connected with the glyph you called the 'Ghost Sigil.'
"If I didn't know better, I would've considered you a Zodiac Constitution. It's a pity you are not, but you might be very close to one. Specin-1, you might be able to barely survive till I assimilate your Ghost Form secret with your growth-type magic core.
"Alright, rest for now before we start our next series of experints. Since you've been cooperative, I'll give you a single drop of Death Law Essence. If you don't want to get devoured by my Spectral Despair, you need to endure; if you want to end it all, just surrender your soul to despair!" Jacob impassively stated.
He sent her away in so corner of the Infinite Space while also giving her a drop of Death Essence, he had plenty. Furthermore, he really didn't want her to die now because after interrogating Alma, he discovered her true talent and just how many secrets she was hiding.
First, she had a growth-type magic core, which Alma called the 'Yin Ghost Core.' She probably awakened her Ghost Form because of this growth-type magic.
Second, Alma revealed that when a Ghost King awakens its Ghost Form, it receives unique 'Ghost Sigils', which contain secrets of the Ghost Form. These Sigils were like bloodline legacies of the Ghost Race, and not even the Soulless Ghost King knew about them.
As a matter of fact, no one in the entire ghost race knows about it, and there is no record of it. It seed to be a secret deliberately hidden from the others, and only the owner of a Ghost From was privy to it.
Alma also revealed that her Ghost Form can only reach its full potential after she beca a Mythical Ghost King, and it can also help her beco a Mythical King, as for who, even she didn't know that. She only told him that the Ghost Sigil released this information when she beca a peak legendary king.
In fact, Alma could've beco a Quasi-Myth long ago with the Ghost Form, but because of the seal, she couldn't increase her power beyond the legendary king rank, and Soulless Ghost King again escaped a disaster unknowingly.
Lastly, Jacob wanted to confiscate her entire wealth, which was pitiful compared to the Soulless Ghost King. However, nothing interested him, so he let her keep it in the end.
However, Jacob got sothing even more valuable: a piece of information on another Law Essence!
'Now that I'm stuck with the Spectral Despair, I need to increase its proficiency before assimilating the Ghost Form and then evolving it. I need more negative life force, and the easiest way to get it is through the Divine Soulless Pagoda or devouring Ghosts.
