Jacob's eyes flared intensely the mont he heard Immortika's voice. After a mont of incredulity, he instantly activated the mask without hesitation!
Jacob's body instantly morphed into the Soulless Ghost King, and sothing amazing happened thusly!
The infinity pendant that was being attracted seemingly lost the attraction force and returned to its previous state as if nothing happened; not only that, but the Cursed Heart also returned to its peaceful state.
But Jacob didn't stop to celebrate. He instantly started using phase shifts. He didn't care where he was going or in which direction; he used them until he crossed an unknown distance.
"Is infinite space safe?!" Jacob sternly asked Immortika, desperately hoping for a positive response.
"What do you think~?" Immortika snorted, playful as if extrely amused by the current situation.
Jacob said nothing further before opening the infinite space and entering it without hesitation. Only when he saw inside did Jacob feel completely safe.
But then the rush of coming so close to death started to settle in, and on top of that, what happened with the infinity pendant and finally that unknown assailant that could kill him with a single attack!
He would've fallen on the ground weakly if not for his Quasi-Myth Rank physique and soul.
However, this didn't an these contretemps didn't shake him; seeing himself repeatedly die with the Mortal Danger Sense, no matter what he might try, had left Jacob utterly spooked.
He was even afraid of the ti he encountered the Zodiac Enforcer and Furcas in the Unique Plains.
After a while, Jacob collects himself. His deadly cold expression was completely mirrored on his Soulless Ghost King's face.
"Do you want to kill ?" Jacob coldly raised the most important question he wanted to answer.
Despite having no one else around, he knew the 'person' he wanted to convey had heard it loud and clear. In fact, Jacob was furious, and countless negative thoughts raged in his mind.
"Hoho~ that's so serious accusation…"
Before Immortika can continue, Jacob rcilessly retorts, "I have had enough of your mind gas. I almost died because 'you' freaking malfunction after all that talk about being on top of the universal and whatnot. Tell exactly what happened back there and who the hell is after . It was like that 'thing' knew exactly how to counter the Infinity Pendant!"
"Alright, alright, stop grumbling. I was cheering you up. But you know I never lied to you because I can't, so what I will say next will be the truth and nothing but the truth. If you want to believe it or not, it's up to you." Immortika dismissively stated.
"So, let's start the main topic: why did the Infinity Pendant suddenly cease functioning? But first, tell , don't you already have a pretty good presumption about this, right? You have to speak, or I won't be able to reveal anything if you're still 'unqualified', you get my aning, right? Hehehe~"
Jacob was even more furious about Immortika's happy-go-lucky tone when he almost died because of the Infinity Pendant. Still, he had to know what caused it; his whole existence depended on it.
"It should've been the Longevity Path Glory Gem since the Cursed Path Glory Gem and the Jinx Core reacted unnaturally, which should've been the case of Cursed Heart reacting as well, as these magic cores are part of the Cursed Heart.
"So, if I'm correct up to this point, then the attacker has to be the person who had the Longevity Path Glory Gem. Now, if I'm correct up to this point as well, I have many pressing questions that set well with my early conjecture that you were trying to either kill or lead to that situation.
"First, your lack of response to the Longevity Path Glory Gem despite your past reassurances was almost like the ti when I acquired the Cursed Path Glory Gem after nearly dying.
"Second, you told the person who had the Longevity Path Glory Gem is not even in the middle galaxies or soone extrely powerful, so how did he appear right where I was? It's almost like he was searching for .
"Third, you knew that the Gluttony Mask could alleviate my situation but almost let die back there before telling . I can understand your 'entertainnt-first' personality, but this ti you have gone too far.
"At least do what you're supposed to, but if you can't, then never ever give false information that can jeopardize my life and everything I worked for!" Jacob's voice was filled with emotions that almost vanished after two thousand years of solitude.
Immortika replied cryptically, "Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but the only part you're right about is the involvent of the 'person' who holds the Longevity Path Glory Gem, and the sa person is not 'searching' but 'hunting' you.
"Oh, you're also right about the Gluttony Mask being able to conceal the Infinity Pendant except for one thing, you see if that 'guy' had really brought the Longevity Path Glory Gem, I an the 'real' one, then unless the Gluttony Mask is in its true form, I won't work.

Jacob was shocked when he heard Immortika's 'explanation,' and instead of getting answers, he was left with even more questions.
It was an outright paradox, like the emphasis on words like 'hunting', 'person', 'real', and 'like-minded'. This clearly indicated that the holder of the Longevity Path Glory Gem probably knew he had Cursed Immortality, and now that sa person almost killed him.
The implications behind these so-called hints were so massive that it took Jacob a long ti to calm down and assert the entire situation. However, now Jacob was afraid of encountering this hunter!
