But just because he thought the Respite Dendrified Potion was amazing stuff with excellent flavor did not an others within this auction house would share the sa interest and think of it the sa, especially the rogue cultivators, who would more than likely shudder at the re thought of falling into deep sle- ..deep ditation that made them lose all sense of their surroundings and, on top of that, their mobility too.

They were liable to attack Yang Qing or label him an assassin if he dared offer that to them. It was likely much easier for them to accept a shifty, murky-looking potion that had "I definitely have poison in , or so dangerous effects look" written all over it than they were to accept Yang Qing’s potion, let alone agree to a trade for it.

As Yang Qing continued to bemoan his luck while silently debating about whether to take a swig of the dendrifying potion to block out all noise from the platform, Li Gang continued to list the asked-for items.

"If you don’t have the pills, then the following list of items would be acceptable:

The root of a middle-tier monarch-grade Nine Breath Cleansing Mugwort.

Middle-tier monarch-grade Miasma Dissolving Licorice Root.

Sa grade for Three Purity Gardenia.

Sa grade for Jade Vein Ginseng. Though with this one, it is preferred to have been harvested from the wild rather than ones cultivated in spirit herb farms. The latter would still be accepted, just that it will be lower on preference for what the seller will go for," Li Gang explained before continuing.

"Sa grade for Gentle Yang White Lotus.

Sa grade for Hundred Toxin Purging Chrysanthemum.

Sa grade for Violet Dew Spirit Washing Osmanthus Flower.

Sa grade for Clear Breath Jasmine Bloom.

Sa grade for Cleansing Tide Azure Spirit Coral.

And lastly, similar grade for Palace Sea Detoxifying Mollusk Jade Pearl," Li Gang announced, though it did not seem like he was done, if the glint in his eyes and the narrowed focus in them was any indicator.

"If you don’t have any of the ntioned items, you’re free to introduce an item of your own of similar grade that is known to handle miasma in all its forms, from protection to warning to detoxification, with an emphasis on the latter," said Li Gang before looking behind him, where there were two figures who looked to be of import, given the gaze of respect within his eyes when he looked toward them, and the fact that they were the only ones who were seated on the platform, which created an impression of them being like overseers or supervisors for the entire auction.

Had Yang Qing co here in an official capacity, he would have probably been seated next to them.

Of the two, one looked to be young, about Yang Qing’s age, with a calm aura around him and a soft smile plastered on his very handso face that looked jade-sculpted. He had deep blue hair that matched his eyes, and the qi around him was just as deep as his eyes.

The other figure next to him was middle-aged, with silver hair tied into a half bun with a ticulous-looking jade pin that held it together, a short, well-grood beard, a bit broad in the shoulders, and was also a looker, although his carried a mature, solemn charm to it.

"Behind here are appraisers Mo Guang from Gold Earth Bank and Chen Yu, who is a blue-grade senior instructor at Jade Leaf Academy," Li Gang introduced, pointing to the middle-aged man and the young man respectively, who nodded cordially at Li Gang and the crowd.

"They will serve as on-the-spot appraisers for those who wish to present their own items for the trade," Li Gang announced.

"I’d like to thank the two seniors for their assistance on this matter," he added as he bowed slightly to the two, who nodded back.

anwhile, in the crowd, there were gazes and silent gasps of respect and incredulity at the presence of those two figures and the Vast Blue’s ability to invite them. After all, one of them was from a long-established rank two organization that had a lot of wealth and power, and the other was from an ancient rank one organization that could be considered the cradle of the study of all things cultivation.

The Vast Blue rchant Company was far removed from both these organizations, either in terms of stature, prestige, background, or strength. One was an ant, and the other was a dragon. And yet, said ant had managed to invite two of their mbers.

So of the guests could not help but start speculating on whether maybe the Vast Blue rchant Company was looking to fall under the umbrella of one of these two organizations, given their presence. So started showing signs of worry on their expressions.

Yang Qing, on the other hand, had a different gaze and expression at the mont. He was currently leaning forcefully on the window of his room, almost as if he wanted to force it ajar or make his way through it by breaking it. His eyes had a crazy glint flashing through, only matched in craziness by the crazed smile he had and the flas of hot air pouring out of his nostrils as he took deep breaths.

"Li Gang. Li Gang. Li Gang, start the auction," he said with an eerie calmness to his tone. His current expression was like that of a silently simring volcano that was waiting to erupt.

Li Gang, as though he had heard Yang Qing’s request, brought the attention of the audience to himself. "Let the bids begin," he announced.

No sooner had he said that than Yang Qing’s dragon roar response sounded from his booth. He did not even bother to isolate or mask the features of his voice as he said, "I am willing to hand over fifty catties worth of sap from the Green Fla Tree, and said sap is infused with the purest Yang and Yin energy and essence of vitality capable of rivaling a natural Dao Ascendant-grade treasure.

With it, not unless you stumble upon the corpse of an ancient dragon filled with miasma, you can forget about dying to all miasma-related maladies. Not to ntion, it can treat all kinds of injuries beyond miasma-related ones."

"Fifty catties," he repeated. "I can have it sent over for verification by the two seniors."

After Yang Qing was done with his clearly excited bid, a pin-drop silence filled the place. Li Gang, with his confident smile and deanor that he had been maintaining all throughout, broke when his eyes (just like most on the floor) widened in stupefaction when they fell on Yang Qing’s gallery seating.

Yang Qing, on the other hand, was panting as though he had just returned from facing the ancient dragon he was talking about, and from the intense gaze he had on, it seed like he was gearing up for another round with it.

"I may not have many things, but poisons?! Now that is my forte!! Poisonous tongues. Poisonous personalities. Poisonous instructors. Poisonous supervisor. Poisonous grandfather. Poisonous academy. Poisonous employer. Poisonous enemies. I have faced them all and lived. Mostly.

I am Yang Qing, the sovereign benefactor guarding the realm against the woes of poisons, full ti student and guide of the Dao of Survival, providing a path to life to all who need it. This is my domain, you peasants," he passionately muttered(to absolutely no one in particular and everyone at the sa ti, including their shadows) as he rested one foot on the cushioned seat by the window, with the other firmly planted on the ground. He leaned forward slightly, just enough to rest his hands on the thigh of the slightly bent leg, as he fixed his eager, almost domineering gaze on the platform below, wearing a taunting smile that looked as though he was ready to make an enemy of the entire auction if ... they dared to show the insolence of trying to compete against him.

This was a desperation-fueled bravado that had a touch of confidence mixed within it and a bit of worry, because internally, Yang Qing would be lying if he said he was not slightly worried.

Please, nobody outbid . Surely there cannot be anyone having sothing of worth to what I have just offered, can there? He wondered worriedly before shaking his head dismissively as he decided to sink deeper into the delusion that he was the richest person not only in the auction house but the entire continent.

Looking up at the swimming orange-hued clouds with his domineering gaze, accompanied by the stewing silence, he muttered, "Old Lei, it seems like you will be having three days of peace."
