The expedition team continued forward. Even with Lucian's Ga Board assistance, there were several accidents along the way where they almost lost people. Fortunately, these people had tenacious vitality and were all saved in the end. After another day, the expedition team reached the 68th floor and found a three-walled area to set up camp.

"Why not enter the 69th floor?" Lucian looked at Alfia with so confusion.

The Glacier Territory was cold and dangerous. It would be better to defeat the Floor Boss and head to the 70th floor safe zone for a proper rest.

"The 69th floor is even more dangerous than the Glacier Territory." Alfia said, "But what's dangerous isn't the environnt anymore; it's the monsters. Monsters that pervade every nook and cranny."

Pervade every nook and cranny? What kind of monsters could pervade every nook and cranny? The answer—

"Bugs." Alfia explained, "Starting from the 69th floor is the domain of the Insect Nest. The interior features an irregular honeycomb structure. The scope and complexity far exceed previous floors, and one will get lost if they aren't careful. Furthermore, there's absolutely no light; it's extrely dark."

"There are bugs of all sizes. The small ones are all venomous and will infiltrate every single crack and crevice. Even Level 5 adventurers will lose their mobility within a few hours once poisoned. In the past, the main group would stay in the 60th floor safe zone, and only the executive mbers of the Zeus Familia and our Familia, along with several Level 6 mbers acting as supporters and healers, could reach this domain."

Just hearing about it was enough to realize this environnt was far more terrifying and oppressive than the Glacier Territory. The terror of the Glacier Territory lay in its environnt. Once you fell into an ice lake, it was basically impossible to be saved. The terror of the Insect Nest lay in its monsters. Even with a god's-eye view, it was incredibly easy to fall victim, and once soone did, they required imdiate, all-out rescue efforts.

Therefore, before entering the Insect Nest, they absolutely had to rest, recover their stamina, and adjust their condition.

"I see." Lucian said thoughtfully. "In other words, the Poison Resistance Aura will be pretty handy?"

"...!?" Alfia looked at Lucian with an incredibly subtle expression.

How could you have every kind of ability? Your aura can even change?

"It will be very handy." Alfia nodded, bearing an indescribable look.

What kind of god-tier supporter was he? Comparing her own talent to Lucian's was simply thinking far too highly of herself. The most important point was that Lucian wasn't just ascending alone; his abilities benefited everyone around him. Unlike herself, who was feared by the world due to her overwhelmingly powerful talent, Lucian possessed a talent that naturally drew people to revere and follow him.

Even Alfia found herself envying soone else's talent for the very first ti. It wasn't that high talent invited jealousy; it was that talent needed to be absurdly high before it stopped inviting jealousy and fear. Most importantly, she didn't have the ability to let others benefit alongside her.

Soon, another night passed. It was hardly quiet the entire night. Even so, for them, this level of rest was sufficient.

What left the surrounding adventurers in utter disbelief was Lucian's condition. A re Level 1, despite being well-protected by Alfia, had actually managed to keep up without falling behind. In such an oppressive environnt, the other adventurers felt a degree of psychological tension, yet Lucian's state hadn't shifted at all. His clothes weren't dirty, his hair wasn't ssy—it was as if he were out on a picnic.

"Get ready. You need to be careful from here on out." Alfia warned.

"Alright, I'll pay attention." Lucian nodded.

He snapped his fingers, and the blue Frost Resistance Aura transford into a dark green Poison Resistance Aura. The disappearance of the 30% ice resistance made many people shiver. But the dark green aura brought everyone a sense of security.

If there were a favorability system, everyone's affection toward Lucian would undoubtedly be skyrocketing by 10 over and over~

"EVERYONE, MOVE OUT!"

Accompanied by the Empress's command, everyone set off in silence. After passing through the corridor to the 69th floor, everyone's hearts sank slightly. Looking ahead, the surrounding walls were riddled with holes. The densely packed tunnels and branching paths made it impossible to distinguish directions.

What was even more terrifying was the mini-map from the god's-eye view: red dots completely filled the entire visible map. Those adventurers who hadn't reached Level 5 felt their legs tremble and their bodies go cold just looking at this scene. Even the First-Class Level 5 and Level 6 adventurers fared only slightly better.

The mont they stepped onto the 69th floor, the Dungeon taught them a lesson. Densely packed monsters sward toward them, covering the sky and the earth. Even the passage behind them was blocked. Spiders, snakes, centipedes... all sorts of bugs flooded in.

"MAGE SQUAD, GET READY!!"

Following the order, the Mage Squad forcefully cald themselves down and began chanting. The other mbers also swung their weapons, continuously slaughtering the monsters. The battle instantly reached a fever pitch. Even Alfia wore an ugly expression, but she couldn't join the fray because she had to protect Lucian.

"You don't need to protect anymore." Lucian spoke up, and then began his incantation: "O Spirit governing decay and death, I command thee to entwine my flesh and dwell within . Let my body ascend as a grand Demon God!"

Djinn Equip: Balor—

A terrifying wave of ntal power spread outward as Lucian's clothing changed. A black outer coat lined with dark green patterns appeared, and a crimson crest ford on his forehead. At the sa ti, Lucian floated in mid-air, his entire body exuding an intense, oppressive aura.

"Death Radiance."

The crimson crest on his forehead emitted a blinding light that rippled outward. The swarming bugs in the vicinity died instantly, leaving the ground littered with Magic Stones. However, in re monts, the areas cleared of monsters were sward once again by massive waves of new ones.

This ti, larger monsters also joined the battlefield. Thankfully, Lucian's help had afforded the two great Familias a brief mont to breathe. The mbers who had been poisoned quickly retreated. While gulping down antidotes, healers cast magic to cure them. Because they had Abnormal Resistance, a little treatnt allowed them to quickly return to the fight.

"Spirit Armant." Alfia pursed her lips, profoundly shaken.

Although Balor wasn't a Spirit, she was a similar existence. After signing a contract with Lucian, Balor herself had entered a state akin to 'elentalization,' and Spirits were precisely composed of elents. The so-called Spirit Armant was ford by a Spirit transforming into a weapon. It was the standard equipnt of protagonists from the Age of Heroes. In other words, it was—the symbol of an ancient hero!

Even so, the sheer magnitude of the amplification was terrifying. Only in this mont did Lucian reveal his true power. Looking at Lucian, whose body flickered with dark red light, Alfia's eyes sparkled with profound awe.

Hera originally believed she would beco the 'Last Hero', but she was dragged down by her illness. Her severely depleted life force, combined with the increasingly high level of her negative skill, had dashed her hopes of ever reaching Level 8. When she learned that Lucian possessed the ans to seal skills, Hera's hopes were reignited.

However, it was only now that Alfia finally realized the one who could truly beco a hero was not herself, but the person who resolved her regrets. The true protagonist of this era had already appeared. Stripping away the title of 'Hero', as the 'Incarnation of Talent', there was likely only one role left for her to play, right?

Subtle thoughts couldn't help but cross Alfia's mind.

(Author's Note

Initially, the title of this book was Magic Beast Creation in the Danmachi World. Later, I felt that playing around with chanism-breaking was more fun, so I changed the direction. I also considered using Longinus, and the reason I didn't is because Longinus is too strong.

The Longinus you imagine: At the start, you can only create Level 1~Level 4 magic beasts, forming a legion of a few dozen beasts to conquer the Dungeon...

The Longinus in reality: Even a complete novice could easily create Level 5~Level 7 magic beasts. A beast tide of tens of thousands of Level 7 magic beasts could flat-out bulldoze the Dungeon in three days. Once Balance Breaker is activated, its destructive output instantly reaches the level of Type-Moon's Tiamat. Hundreds of millions of magic beasts would instantly flatten the Lower World.

In the original story, Leonardo, the user of Annihilation Maker, was an absolute madlad of a kid. When forced into a Sub-Species Balance Breaker, he created 12 monsters that even Super Devils couldn't destroy. Back then, the protagonist had to rge with the True Red Dragon God Emperor and pilot a 'cha' just to kill them.

Even within High School DxD, Annihilation Maker possesses the capability to threaten the entire world, and as a high-tier Longinus, its performance far exceeds Issei Hyoudou's Boosted Gear. The cost of using a Longinus is low, incredibly low, yet its performance is absurdly high. Things like tal Vessels, Zanpakuto, Devil Fruits, etc., simply can't compare.

Judging from the original work, it's highly likely that the God of the Bible researched the 'Dreams' governed by the True Red Dragon God Emperor to create these artifacts, aning they are highly conceptual and idealistic. Any random person from Earth getting their hands on it could easily trigger an apocalypse, wiping out all life on Earth in a single day, because Annihilation Maker creates beasts through imagination.

The simplest trick is to make tiny mosquitoes with spatial teleportation specifically designed to spread 'poison'... Teleportation tech is actually quite developed in High School DxD. The main body wouldn't be a weak point either. One could create a Spirit-type magic beast capable of fusing with the user, instantly creating a tal Vessel on the spot. Or like the Spirits in No Ga No Life, directly forming Spirit Circuits to beco a magical organism.

In short, that stuff can only be written as a pure overpowered-protagonist novel, otherwise you have to heavily suppress the power scaling. The strength of the Gods in Danmachi far exceeds Annihilation Maker, but if the Gods were to truly unseal themselves, the entire plot would break down.

Speaking of which, I've actually written an Annihilation Maker fic before: Building a Pantheon from Scratch. If you're interested, you can check it out. The power scaling got too high in that one and it collapsed late-ga too.)
