"These should be enough."

Although he was preparing for an adventure, Drake didn't bring very much with him.

A normal shortsword, a set of light leather armor, plus supplies like torches, a water pouch, and rations.

After all, he wasn't going to explore the Dungeon, where one could easily spend several days at a ti.

If nothing unexpected happened, he should be able to return fairly quickly.

Besides, the world of Terraria itself was rich with supplies to plunder.

All kinds of ores, treasure chests, and monster materials were everywhere.

"There's a reward for entering the first ti. I wonder what it'll be."

Filled with curiosity and anticipation, Drake confird the teleportation.

The next instant, his figure vanished from the room without a trace.

...

After several flashes of strange and dazzling light passed before his eyes, he found himself teleported into a scenic woodland.

The sky was blue and crystal clear, white clouds drifting lazily in view.

Beneath his feet stretched an erald-green field of grass, and from ti to ti, crisp birdsong echoed in his ears.

"So it really is Terraria's classic opening."

Drake didn't let down his guard. Instead, he gripped his shortsword tightly and surveyed his surroundings.

"But where's the Guide? Or is it just in this world?"

Just as he was wondering that, lines of text began to appear before his eyes.

It was information sent by the system.

[Distributing pioneer rewards.]

[You have unlocked the "Inventory" ability!]

[You have unlocked the "Crafting" ability!]

[You have unlocked the "Appraisal" ability!]

[You have unlocked the "Contract" ability!]

[You have received one Copper Shortsword, one Copper Pickaxe, and one Copper Axe.]

The string of reward ssages made Drake feel a little dizzy at first.

But he quickly sorted through the contents of the rewards.

The first three abilities were easy to understand—they were basically the standard abilities every Terraria player possessed.

The Inventory ability lets Drake open a portable inventory with 60 slots anyti, anywhere, which can be used to store all kinds of items.

Items of the sa type can be stacked, with a maximum stack size of 9999.

And it isn't limited to items from the world of Terraria, either.

Drake tried placing his own shortsword into the inventory.

To his surprise, it worked!

Whenever he needed it, all he had to do was think, and the weapon would appear in his hand.

'Just this Inventory ability alone already makes it worth it!' Drake thought excitedly.

With the existence of the inventory, it ant he could carry huge amounts of supplies and provisions with him.

When exploring the Dungeon, it would reduce his burden by quite a lot.

In the world of DanMachi, there didn't seem to be any spatial item with a similar function.

And even if such a thing did exist, it was probably extrely rare—far beyond what ordinary adventurers or Familias could afford.

The second ability, Crafting, was even more important!

Most items in Terraria could be crafted into new ones.

So recipes required the help of specific workstations.

For example, using a furnace to slt ore into tal bars.

There were also so basic items that could be crafted by hand.

Things like torches, wooden platforms, campfires, and so on.

Even equipnt itself could be combined and upgraded into even stronger gear!

It could be said that the entire power system of Terraria was built on the foundation of this one function: Crafting.

As for the third ability, Appraisal, that one ca as a bit of a surprise to Drake.

It allowed him to appraise items he obtained—even ones from other worlds!

For example, the tal shortsword Drake had forged himself.

Now, appraisal information automatically appeared in his vision.

[Crude Iron Shortsword (Gray): Damage 7]

"Ahaha…"

Seeing such a rciless evaluation, Drake scratched his head awkwardly.

In Terraria's rarity system, gray was the lowest rank of all—even worse than the white rank that signified "common."

Usually, only low-grade weapons with negative modifiers or junk items fished up while angling would have gray quality.

Well, it couldn't be helped. Even though he had studied forging under Hephaestus for several years,

he was still only at an entry-level standard. He still had a very long road ahead before he could be considered a true master.

Being able to hand-forge a barely usable low-tier weapon from ordinary ore from scratch

was already quite a respectable level of completion for a beginner smith.

"Still, with the Crafting ability, I can easily make better equipnt…"

"Maybe I really can balance both identities at once: adventurer and smith!"

In the world of Terraria, making weapons and armor was incredibly simple.

As long as you had enough materials, you could craft the corresponding item with 100% certainty.

There was no chance of failure, and no possibility of ending up with a defective product.

The only real downside was that all crafted equipnt had fixed stats.

Even if you had higher-grade materials, you couldn't make a stronger version of the sa equipnt.

If he could sohow combine Crafting with forging techniques…

Thinking that far, Drake shook his head and pulled himself back.

At his current level, that kind of thing was still too far off.

The final ability was Contract.

After reading the description of the Contract ability,

Drake couldn't help showing a look of surprise.

No wonder he hadn't seen Terraria's first NPC—the Guide.

It turned out that this world simply had no NPCs at all!

Only by using Contract to recruit followers from other worlds could he recreate the functions that NPCs originally provided.

"Other worlds, huh…"

Drake thought for a mont.

Aside from Terraria, only the DanMachi world currently t the requirents for the Contract ability.

As for when he'd be able to travel to a second world, that remained unknown.

As if sensing Drake's thoughts, the system quickly provided the corresponding information.

[Defeat the boss "King Sli" to unlock a new world for travel.]

King Sli was an early-ga boss in Terraria.

Even with the Calamity mod added, it was still the easiest boss in the entire ga to defeat—bar none.

"So I just need to beat King Sli?"

Drake's mind imdiately beca active.

If this were Terraria the ga, then King Sli would basically just be a walking treasure bag to him.

Defeating that boss would co with practically no pressure at all.

But this wasn't a ga now.

He had truly crossed over into the world of Terraria.

The original beginner-friendly boss might turn out to be far more difficult than expected.

After thinking for a mont, Drake quickly set his plan of action.

"First, I should get used to the combat rhythm in this world."

"And while I'm at it… I'll see if I can find any treasure chests and gather so resources."
