As the glow of the setting sun passed through the window, Drake's figure suddenly appeared out of nowhere in his room.

Compared to how he had looked when he first entered the world of Terraria,

he was in a rather sorry state now, and his expression carried a trace of dazed confusion.

But he quickly cald himself and let out a helpless sigh.

"I didn't think I'd still end up falling to a boulder trap…"

Just monts ago, while exploring an underground cavern, he had accidentally stepped on a trap pressure plate.

If it had only been sothing like poison darts, he might have been able to grit his teeth and endure it.

But when Drake heard the rumbling sound of a giant stone crashing down from above, he had already ntally prepared himself for his first "death" in the Terraria world.

And, just as he had expected, he died swiftly and cleanly—sent ho for free.

"Good thing my inventory's pretty full too. At least it wasn't a total loss."

Drake opened his inventory and looked at the huge assortnt of items and materials packed inside.

The frustration brought on by dying instantly vanished.

This expedition had been very rewarding.

Aside from so mostly useless dirt blocks and stone blocks, everything in his inventory was sothing that could co in handy.

That included materials dropped by monsters after defeating them, such as gel.

There were also resources gathered directly from the environnt, like wood, ore, and herbs.

And of course, there were items he had found in treasure chests as well!

Terraria chests could contain all kinds of things.

Depending on the environnt, the rewards inside could vary significantly.

The chest Drake found this ti was just an ordinary underground chest.

Inside were several Lesser Healing Potions, so bombs, and a few magical potions with different effects.

On top of that, there was also one rare reward— a Cloud in a Bottle!

[Cloud in a Bottle (Blue): Grants the wearer one extra jump.]

In simple terms, once he equipped this accessory, Drake would be able to double jump!

This was a technique that not even a certain man capable of dinsional slashes had mastered.

In Terraria, there were many accessories with similarly incredible effects.

At the sa ti, up to five accessories could be active, while armor occupied three slots.

By Orario's standards, this Cloud in a Bottle would at the very least qualify as a magic item.

Of course, Drake had no intention of selling it.

He didn't even have enough for his own use yet, so how could he possibly let such a treasure go to soone else?

"So it's already nightti…"

Glancing at the darkening sky outside the window, Drake lazily removed his leather armor and began organizing his inventory.

Although the Hephaestus Familia also owned considerable property in Babel Tower, those places were shop spaces only qualified smiths with independent store rights could live in.

As for Drake's current lodging, it was nothing more than a small house in Orario's civilian district.

In a city where land was worth its weight in gold, naturally the rent wasn't cheap.

Drake had to pay 10,000 valis per month.

Usually, by repairing low-level equipnt for rookie adventurers, he could barely manage to cover his daily expenses.

Now that he had officially beco a proper mber of the Familia, though, he naturally had to start making new plans.

"The space here is still too small."

"When I've got money, I'm definitely moving to a bigger workshop."

Naturally, the best choice would be Babel Tower.

Babel Tower was a towering structure that rose into the sky at the very center of Orario.

Looking across the entire Labyrinth City, there wasn't a single building taller than it.

Its importance went without saying—the entire tower served as the "lid" placed over the Dungeon itself!

In other words, for any Familia or adventurer wishing to explore the Dungeon,

Babel Tower was an unavoidable holy ground of adventure.

Because of that, many shops selling equipnt and adventuring supplies gathered inside Babel Tower.

As the Familia most famous for forging, the Hephaestus Familia naturally operated many storefronts there as well.

However, not everyone was qualified to open a shop under the na Hephaestus.

Because it concerned the forging goddess's reputation, only smiths within the Familia who had earned recognition were allowed to stamp the Familia crest onto the equipnt they sold.

And as for how one earned Hephaestus's recognition, that brought up an event held only by the Hephaestus Familia.

Three days from now would be the Molten Festival.

It was a celebration spontaneously organized by the followers of the forging goddess.

But for certain reasons, it also attracted the attention of many Familias and high-class adventurers.

At this festival, Hephaestus would evaluate the works presented by mbers of her Familia.

If one could gain the forging goddess's approval, it would undoubtedly be an enormous affirmation of a smith's skill—and excellent publicity as well.

Within the Familia, mbers who earned recognition would also receive a greater share of resources.

For example, they might be allowed to use a Babel Tower storefront for free for a period of ti, or be entrusted with forging commissions from other Familias.

"If I want to gain Lady Goddess's recognition, ordinary ore weapons probably won't be enough."

As he thought this over, Drake used the Crafting ability to make several items.

For example, the most basic wooden workbench, a furnace capable of slting low-tier ores, and an anvil for turning tal bars into equipnt.

These were all workstations that expanded his list of craftable items.

In the future, there would be even more facilities, such as a Hellforge and a Mythril Anvil.

But even just these few things had already filled Drake's tiny house to the brim.

Based on the materials he currently had in his inventory, there weren't many items Drake could craft.

The most practical among them was the Torch, made from wood gel.

There were many kinds of torches in Terraria, each capable of producing different colors of light.

And unless they were thrown directly into a pool of water, even rain wouldn't put them out.

As for their burn ti, it was so outrageous it could shake the heavens and terrify the ghosts… infinite.

In other words, as long as no outside force interfered, the torches Drake crafted could burn until the world itself was destroyed.

And yet in Terraria, such a thing was nothing more than the lowest-grade consumable.

The gel needed to make torches could be obtained by killing sli-type monsters.

During today's exploration, Drake had defeated quite a few slis.

As the weakest kind of monster, their combat power hardly needed ntioning—they were very easy to deal with.

As long as he didn't panic too much, even if he ran into several slis at once, Drake could handle them with ease.

"I wonder if adventuring in Terraria can also accumulate excellia."

"Once I beat King Sli, I'll go to Hephaestus and have her update my status to see."

For the ti being, Drake had no intention of frequently asking his goddess to update his Falna.

Defeating weak enemies only accumulated a negligible amount of excellia.

Only fighting powerful enemies on the level of Bosses would grant a large amount.

In other words, farming weaklings was useless—he had to truly challenge himself.

Fortunately, Drake wouldn't permanently die in the world of Terraria, so the cost of trial and error was very low.

Since he had already died once, he wouldn't be able to enter Terraria again until tomorrow evening.

...

So early the next morning, he decided to first go register at the Adventurers' Guild.

For Orario, a city overflowing with adventurers, the Adventurers' Guild was practically half of an official institution.

Inside the Guild Hall, aside from the inquiry counters, there was also an exchange office that converted loot directly into valis,

as well as an appraisal office that evaluated treasures found in the Dungeon.

These were all vital places for an adventurer's career.

But just as Drake was about to step through the doors of the Adventurers' Guild, a small voice suddenly called out from beside him.

"Um, mister over there… the black-haired mister!"

Black hair was uncommon in Orario, so Drake quickly realized the speaker was calling to him.

Turning around, he saw a girl even smaller than Hestia running toward him.

"Nice to et you! Are you an adventurer, mister? Do you need a supporter?"
