"Idiots, stop joking around!"

A disdainful voice sounded. Bete, the silver-haired werewolf, mocked them viciously. "Those guys are just Level 2 and Level 1 small fry. Take them on a deep-floor expedition? They'd only drag us down. Do you want us to play babysitter?"

"Hah?! What did you say? You stupid werewolf!"

Tiona imdiately got annoyed and bared her teeth at Bete.

"Alright, alright, both of you calm down."

Seeing these two habitually bickering again, Finn shook his head helplessly and stepped in to stop them. "I've considered it. However, just like Bete said, their levels are still too low right now. Inviting them to a deep-floor expedition would only get them killed. Let's wait a bit longer until they've grown."

"Is that so... I guess you're right. The deep floors are still too dangerous for them."

A look of regret appeared on Tiona's face. She put her hands behind her head and sighed.

The other mbers also looked disappointed. After all, it was a rare skill capable of accelerating experience gain, and an aura-type skill effective for the whole team to boot. Who wouldn't want to experience what it felt like to "level up on a rocket"?

And so, after a simple mobilization, the Loki Familia grandly left their manor, headed to the Dungeon, and began this expedition.

"That's the Loki Familia. They're going on an expedition again."

"My god, look at that lineup. As expected of one of the strongest Familias in Orario."

"I wonder how many floors they'll clear this ti. It really makes you look forward to it."

The citizens and adventurers along the way gossiped endlessly, casting envious and awed gazes at the massive expeditionary force of the Loki Familia.

With First-Class Adventurers like Ais and Bete clearing the path, the Familia's main force advanced effortlessly and soon reached the 16th Floor.

"I wonder if the Goliath has respawned yet. Its Magic Stone can sell for a good price, and I still haven't paid off my debt for Urga."

Tiona swung her door-sized double-bladed weapon and said casually.

"If the adventurers in the Town of Rivira haven't cleared it ahead of ti, according to the timing of our last subjugation, today should be exactly when the Floor Boss respawns."

Lefiya, standing beside her, calculated precisely while counting on her fingers.

"Eh—? Are we too late?"

Continuing downward, as they neared the entrance to the 17th Floor, Tiona sharply heard the chaotic sounds of slaughter and the continuous roar of magic echoing from below. She imdiately realized that other adventurers were already fighting the Floor Boss, and she couldn't help but look disappointed.

However, when they officially stepped onto the 17th Floor and saw the utterly chaotic scene before them, everyone froze.

The Goliath they had imagined was nowhere to be seen. In its place was an unknown monster they had never seen before, radiating a terrifying aura.

Across the expansive floor, over a hundred adventurers were locked in bloody combat with all sorts of bizarre monsters. In the center of that chaotic battlefield, a soft golden barrier illuminated the entire 17th Floor, providing shelter for all the adventurers.

"Loki Familia! Finn! Help us! If you don't co soon, you'll only be collecting our corpses!"

Bors noticed the Loki Familia's arrival imdiately. As if grabbing the last straw of salvation, he threw his dignity away, jumping and waving his arms as he let out a bloodcurdling shriek.

"Ais!"

At that mont, the expression of Finn, who was at the front, abruptly changed. Without a second thought, he shouted sharply.

"Awaken!"

Ais beside him reacted instantly. The rapier at her waist, Desperate, was drawn. Erald-green winds coiled around her body as she activated her signature magic.

The next instant, Ais turned into a blur of green wind. With a speed the naked eye could barely track, she slipped through the chaotic crowds and swarms of monsters. Her target was Bors, who stood rooted in place, completely oblivious to the danger, and the Death Web behind him, which had raised its giant road sign high, ready to smash it down rcilessly.

Only then did Bors notice the terrifying shadow looming over him like a falling mountain. He looked back in horror, only to see the enlarged road sign crashing toward the top of his skull.

"You motherf—"

"I won't make it in ti!"

Ais knitted her brows tightly, her speed surging once more.

Boom!

Just as Bors thought he was about to be smashed into at paste, a crimson sword of fire abruptly thrust out from the side. Striking upward from below, it precisely t the road sign carrying its terrifying wind pressure and massive force.

Aiden gripped the hilt with both hands tightly. Every muscle in his body tightened to the limit, veins bulging.

That unrivaled, terrifying force transmitted down the blade, instantly tearing the webbing of his hands. Blood stread down the hilt, only to be instantly vaporized by the sword's intense heat, releasing an eerie red mist.

He almost shattered his molars from clenching his jaw, barely managing to withstand the Death Web's crushing blow.

Then, Ais arrived.

Her figure danced around the Death Web's massive body like a butterfly weaving through flowers. The rapier in her hand turned into a sky-filling shower of strikes. With speeds invisible to the eye, she left dense webs of scars on the Death Web, sending sparks flying endlessly.

"Run! Do you have a death wish?!"

Feeling as if he'd lost all sensation in his arms, Aiden roared at the dazed Bors.

"O-oh, I owe you my life, Fla Scion!"

Bors woke up as if from a dream. Tearing himself free from the terror of death, he scrambled and crawled as he fled toward Finn and the others.

Aiden retreated as he withdrew his sword, looking back at Ais, whose attacks resembled a torrential storm, completely suppressing the Death Web.

Ais's attacks were swift and sharp, each strike possessing absolute precision. However, her rapier, which could easily cut through steel, only managed to leave fine scars on the Death Web's black carapace. And almost the mont these scars appeared, they were completely healed by the writhing flesh and pulsing green light.

The Death Web, conversely, seed to be gradually adapting to Ais's tempestuous attack speed.

Initially, it was just taking a passive beating, but soon, its claw swipes, the swings of its giant weapon, and the timing of its stomps began to gain precision.

It no longer swung wildly; instead, it began to predict the trajectory of Ais's attacks, using heavy strikes to force her to break her combos and evade.

For a ti, a symphony of wind and steel played out in the center of the battlefield. Ais's elegant sword dance was gradually being suppressed by overwhelming brute strength, shifting from active suppression to perilous evasion.

"Wow, where did this monster co from? Even Ais can't take it down imdiately?"

Seeing Ais fail to take down the Death Web on her first attempt, Tiona's eyes lit up. She hefted her massive double blade, Urga, looking completely eager to join the fray.

"Bors, what happened?"

On the other side, Finn asked Bors, who had scrambled over to him panting heavily.

Catching his breath, his face full of gloom, Bors replied, "I wanted to ask the sa thing! We were just following the plan to subjugate the respawned Goliath. Who knew this thing would burst out of the wall? If the Focalors Familia hadn't happened to show up, we'd probably be wiped out by now, just waiting for you guys to collect our bodies. It's ridiculous, an anomaly in the Dungeon even swapped out the Floor Boss."

Hearing Bors's words, Finn and the others imdiately grasped the situation.

He nodded, then ordered Raul behind him, "Raul, take the mbers and help clear out the newly spawned mobs nearby."

"Yes!"

This wasn't stealing kills; Bors and his group had already sent out a clear distress signal. For the Loki Familia to step in now was a justified rescue.

"I see. Barrier magic and wide-area healing magic... And Fla Scion is covering them."

Finn's gaze swept across the battlefield, noticing the golden barrier covering the area. Feeling the "healing wind" lingering in the air that was continuously tending to everyone's wounds, and having witnessed Aiden take a hit at a critical mont to save Bors, he instantly understood the dynamics of the situation.

"No wonder they managed to hold out until now without mass casualties."

He also sharply noticed that even when facing such a powerful enemy, the adventurers, who were at an absolute disadvantage, hadn't dissolved into chaos. Their formation was still barely holding together.

This was clearly the result of an excellent commander managing the situation from behind the scenes.

"Finn, that monster's potential should be Level 5. It's a whole level higher than the Goliath, and it's a specialized type geared towards strength, defense, and endurance."

After observing for a mont, Riveria delivered an accurate assessnt.

"Mhm. Don't worry, Ais can handle it."

Finn shifted his gaze to the green gale in the center of the battlefield. "Besides, isn't Fla Scion right there backing her up?"
