Finn suddenly turned back, glancing at the highly excited Tiona and the others, a smile curling the corner of his mouth. "Haven't you all been talking about wanting to fight alongside the Saint of Battle Rhythm? Here's your chance."

"Oh oh oh! I'm fired up!"

Hearing this, Tiona imdiately waved Urga excitedly. Like a beast let out of its cage, she charged at a newly spawned Minotaur and a Blazing Axe Mitachurl nearby.

In the center of the battlefield, Aiden wasn't in a hurry to step forward. He stood to the side, completely focused on observing the battle between Ais and the Death Web.

Ais moved so fast she was nothing but a series of green afterimages. Wrapped in the magic Ariel, every swing of Desperate carried a sharp whistle that tore the air.

Her sword techniques were like the most intricate dance. She could always find fleeting openings in the Death Web's seemingly airtight defenses, leaving crisscrossing scars on its black carapace and muscles.

The Death Web's attacks were wide and sweeping, packing imnse force. Every swing of its giant road sign smashed a deep crater into the hard ground.

However, this sowhat clumsy attack thod was perfectly countered by Ais, who was as fast as a gale.

Ais's figure would always flutter away like a feather right before the devastating blows landed.

Suddenly, Ais seized an opportunity. The mont the Death Web missed a swing and smashed its giant weapon into the ground, she leaped onto the massive road sign with unbelievable agility.

She sprinted straight up the broad tal plate, her target aid right at the Death Web's defenseless neck.

But right before the tip of her sword could touch its target, the Death Web displayed a terrifying reaction speed completely contradictory to its massive size.

It didn't turn around; instead, it abruptly reached out with its free left hand, precisely blocking its neck.

Clang!

Ais's full-strength strike chopped solidly into the Death Web's arm.

The hard carapace was instantly broken through. The blade sank deep into the muscle, almost completely severing the entire arm.

But in the end, the strike was blocked.

What was even more despair-inducing was that green light surged within the horrifying, bone-deep wound. The muscles writhed and healed madly, and in just a few breaths, it was restored to its original state.

Ais borrowed the montum to leap back, landing gracefully to dodge the Death Web's imdiately following horizontal sweep.

She looked at the craters smashed into the ground by the giant weapon, then looked at her completely unhard opponent. A heavy look surfaced in her golden eyes.

Boom!

A crimson barrage of fire whistled past Ais, accurately blasting the Death Web in the chest and erupting into a scorching bloom of fire.

"Together, take it down."

Wreathed in flas, Aiden flashed past Ais, leaving behind only those words.

Ais blanked for a mont, almost instinctively wanting to say: You're only Level 3, this is too reckless!

But she quickly realized, to her shock, that even though Aiden possessed a massive gap in stats compared to the Death Web, he didn't collapse at a single touch like other low-level adventurers.

Not only could he launch effective counterattacks, but he also provided interference and support with those extrely fast fiery bombardnts, actually managing to leave visible scorch marks on the Death Web's supposedly indestructible black shell.

Those slashes carrying extre heat actually broke through the Death Web's defenses, dealing genuine damage.

Ais really wanted to grab Aiden by the collar and ask: Why are you so strong?! Didn't you just reach Level 3?

In that brief exchange just now, she had already deduced that this Death Web's level was absolutely Level 5. It was on the sa level she currently was, with extrely high stats. Most importantly, its monstrous combat instinct allowed it—despite not having much intelligence—to always react optimally, like an incredibly experienced adventurer.

Yet Aiden, a Level 3, could keep up with a battle of this caliber and even deal effective damage? It was completely unreasonable.

As if enraged by Aiden's provocation, the Death Web's five-ter-tall, massive body lunged forward with agility totally unsuited for its fra. It hoisted the giant road-sign high and brought it down toward the top of Aiden's head with the force of a thunderbolt.

Aiden didn't take the hit head-on.

He executed an extre roll to his left. The giant weapon slamd heavily into the ground where he had just been—

Boom!!!

Rubble exploded outward like shrapnel. The terrifying shockwave directly blew the just-rising Aiden away.

He tumbled raggedly in the air, stumbling backward several steps upon landing before managing to steady himself.

Before he could even catch his breath, a sweet taste rose in his throat.

This was the chasm-like gap between a Level 3 and a Level 5 Floor Boss.

But there was no trace of fear on Aiden's face.

He stabilized his footing and slowly raised his right hand. The crimson fla reignited in his palm, but this ti, the color of the fire grew even more blazing.

"Not enough, still not nearly enough..."

He muttered to himself, a trace of madness flashing in his eyes. "Then... I'll bet it all!"

"By This Blade's Glow I Grasp!"

Following his chant, the surrounding air seed to ignite. The temperature of the flas soared madly again. The originally crimson flas began to shift into a dazzling gold.

The [Crimson Witch of Flas] Artifact set on his body humd, and his developnt ability, [Fire Flash], was pushed to its absolute limit.

A layer of golden fla-clothing climbed up from his feet, instantly covering his entire body. The surrounding air began to distort due to the extre heat, blurring the vision of those watching.

"My god, what kind of magic is this? The special effects are way too flashy!"

A certain adventurer in the distance couldn't help but remark.

"Stop being stupid and fall back! That temperature... I feel like I'll be roasted alive if I stand any closer!"

The massive maw of the Death Web split even wider—that wasn't a mock; it was the excitent of eting a worthy opponent, the bloodthirsty frenzy of battle.

It raised that hideous giant weapon once again.

Just as Aiden was preparing to receive the second impact, a golden figure wrapped in erald-green wind sliced in from the flank at blistering speed.

It was Ais.

Desperate carved a brilliant silver arc in the air, precisely slashing at the right arm the Death Web used to hold its giant weapon.

The angle and timing of this strike were absolutely perfect, forcing the Death Web to halt its charge and withdraw the giant weapon to block.

Clang!!

The ear-piercing roar of colliding tal made the entire floor buzz.

Ais retreated imdiately after the strike. Before the Death Web's furious counterattack could arrive, she floated away like a feather to a spot several ters back, creating the perfect opening for Aiden to attack.

"Gospel!"

And Aiden seized this opportunity firmly.

He violently thrust out his left hand. This ti, he went all out, no longer sparing a single trace of magic.

A golden pillar of fire over two ters in diater violently erupted from Aiden's hand.

Carrying a terrifying temperature sufficient to lt steel, wrapped in an aura that could destroy everything, it blasted straight toward the Death Web's face.

The Death Web instinctively raised its giant road sign to block.

The pillar of fire slamd viciously into the broad surface of the road sign—

Boom!!!

Pure fire energy collided fiercely with sturdy tal, erupting with blinding light.

Under the extre heat, the tal surface of the road sign rapidly glowed red, deford, and even began to lt.

The Death Web let out a heaven-shaking roar. The five-ter-tall behemoth was actually pushed back continuously by the pillar of fire, its feet plowing two deep trenches into the hard rock floor.

The pillar of fire dissipated.

With a heavy thud, Aiden dropped to one knee, panting heavily. Sweat soaked his bangs.

That strike had drained nearly all of his magic power.

Fortunately, with the double buffs from Hyacine's [Dawn That Heals the World] and Jeanne's [Luminosité Eternelle] barrier, his depleted stamina and ntal strength were slowly but steadily recovering.

Without hesitation, he grabbed a recovery potion from his coat and downed it in one gulp.
