"There is no need for paynt. I believe the process of helping you will also allow to make further progress in my own spells," Riveria shook her head.
"I'd still give you one," Sion walked over to Alfia's side, sat down and said, "Then let us gather over here."
Without explicitly teaching the underlying thodology, the congenital magic spells developed by Sion would be virtually impossible for the people of this world to learn. It'd be entirely impossible for it to ever beco widespread.
This was because they lacked the fundantal elent of Mind control.
The reward Sion intended to give her was the foundational theory of the congenital spells he had created. Clearly, the reward far outweighed the value of her labor. This behavior could be seen as an investnt or perhaps an attempt to build a solid relationship with Riveria.
There were many strategic reasons for this, such as Riveria being destined to beco a top tier mage in the future. Maintaining a good relationship with her would benefit both parties.
On a more personal level, having known her as a highly popular character from his past life, he naturally harbored a baseline level of affection for her.
He might have entertained other fantasies in his previous life.
Ultimately, there were various justifications, but the simplest one was that he simply wanted to. Sion was completely free.
He could do whatever he wished, which was the true luxury of being a pioneer in his field.
"Imprint spells..." Looking at the contents of the parchnt in her hands, Riveria exclaid in genuine awe. "The structural complexity of this magic is beyond imagination. This is the first ti I've seen such a complex spell formula."
Even as a High elf and a mber of the elven royalty, Riveria hadn't seen such complex spells.
The length of a chant and the resulting power of a spell directly corresponded to its difficulty. This was exactly why congenital magic was generally considered vastly inferior to the magic granted by Falna.
"Did you create this as well?" Riveria asked in amazent.
"Certainly." Sion nodded and said, "Next, I need to complete the advanced form of this spell. So, if you want to keep up with the workflow, you'll need to learn the basics of this spell quickly."
"I see." Riveria nodded, her expression resolute.
This was the first ti in decades she had encountered such a steep academic hurdle, and she could not help but feel a thrilling sense of challenge.
After spending the entire morning, Sion finally finalized the overarching blueprint.
"The magic effect described on this page is..."
Because Sion was constantly monitoring Riveria's progress, he frequently stopped to explain the underlying theories to the group thereby drastically accelerating their learning process.
"Alright." Sion assigned the tasks.
Everyone, including teria was given a specific part of the workload.
Breaking down the project was like having Riveria and the twins draft the individual cogs and gears, while Sion was responsible for machining and assembling those parts into a working engine.
They were still severely understaffed.
Sion not only had to direct the overall workflow but also had to integrate the disparate formulas together.
"My Mind has recovered quite a bit. Let continue your bodily regulation," Sion said, looking at Alfia.
"Mhm." Alfia nodded slightly and extended her hand.
"Sion is regulating sister's bodily functions. It's an application of congenital magic, requiring constant micro adjustnts based on her physical condition," teria explained gently, noticing Riveria's curious gaze.
Is this bodily regulation truly a legitimate dical procedure? Seeing Alfia forcibly suppressing a moan, her face flushed with a remarkably adorable expression. Riveria couldn't help but feel a embarrassed.
This was the feared Silence?
"Alright, we'll continue later." Releasing Alfia's hands, Sion sensed that her gaze toward him had softened considerably.
Catching Riveria's highly suspicious expression out of the corner of his eye, Sion could only clear his throat and reimrse himself in his work.
He hadn't done anything inappropriate. It was simply that the injection of pure mind made Alfia's failing body extrely sensitive to the phantom pleasures.
Two days passed quickly. Alfia's baseline bodily functions were successfully stabilized and the theoretical frawork for the Array cluster was completed.
"Is it truly possible to cast a spell requiring such a massive volu of Mind?" Riveria looked deeply puzzled.
She was not the only one. Even Alfia found it hard to believe...
"It can be done with the assistance of an external magical ritual," Sion explained.
The Imprint magic, once clustered into an array was absurdly difficult to cast, primarily due to its sheer computational complexity.
However, Sion's mastery over Mind control was unparalleled and he intimately understood every single variable of the imprint formula.
If he could not cast it in this world, then truly no one could.
Although the array was several tis more complicated than the base spell, the increase in control difficulty was manageable for him. The true player was the raw Mind capacity required.
Sion was not even an adventurer yet. Without the massive boost to his base status provided by a falna, executing this would push him past his absolute limits.
"Oh, right." Sion looked at Alfia and said, "Actually, there is another line of research I want to pursue, and I need to observe your spells to do it."
