Led by Hestia, they quickly arrived at the Adventurer's Guild. Liliruca Arde couldn't even rember the last ti she had actually set foot inside the building.
Pushing open the heavy double doors, they entered.
"Lady Hestia? What brings you here?" A Guild receptionist spotted the Goddess and tilted her head in confusion.
If she rembered correctly, Hestia had just visited this morning to ask the healer Familias for dical catalogs. Why was she back already?
"Oh, Misha!" Hestia waved with a bright smile. "This is my pride and joy, my Familia child! And this is our newest contractor."
"Hello, August. A pleasure to et you. I am your assigned Guild Advisor—Misha Flott." Misha bowed politely. She had been the one to process his registration files earlier.
"Nice to et you," August nodded.
Misha sized him up. He was older than her, a grown man, but still a rookie on paper. She wasn't judging, just curious. Why would a Supporter bring another Supporter along?
"Lady Hestia, how can I help you today?" Misha asked, wondering what the Goddess was trying to scrounge up this ti.
"Ah, my child needs to exchange so loot for Valis." Hestia smiled as she gestured toward August. "He just got back from the Dungeon, so I brought him here to show him how things work."
On the walk over, Lili had breathlessly recounted August's rampage in the Dungeon—herding a monster horde and wiping them out in one go. It sounded less like an adventure and more like a massacre.
"I see. Right this way, then." Misha nodded, slipping into her professional persona. She led August over to the exchange counter.
August raised his hand, reaching into the void. He pulled two massive canvas bags, bulging with Magic Stones, out of his [Spatial Backpack] and dumped them onto the tal appraisal tray.
The appraiser behind the counter just stared at the mountain of loot. According to Hestia, this was a rookie Supporter, back at noon on his first day. There was no way he should have this many Magic Stones.
When August dropped the sacks, the Guild staff nearby stopped what they were doing. The bags were stuffed to the brim, and everyone could see it.
"Where... where did you get all this?" Misha stamred, losing her professional cool. "Lady Hestia, isn't August registered as a Supporter?"
'WHAT THE HELL? YOU'RE A SUPPORTER! SUPPORTERS DON'T SOLO MASSIVE HORDES!'
"Hehe." Hestia offered a mysterious smile, refusing to elaborate.
"A Supporter..." Lili muttered, staring at August in disbelief. "August... you're a Supporter?"
She had assud he was a combat-class Adventurer. But he was registered as a Supporter?
If August was a Supporter, then what the hell was she?
"He... he lured the monsters from the seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth floors into a single room and massacred all of them at once!" Lili blurted out, her voice cracking. "And you're telling he's a Supporter?"
"I'M TRASH!" Lili dropped to her knees, burying her face in her hands, drowning in a sea of inadequacy.
Her sudden breakdown shocked every Guild employee who heard it.
He gathered the hordes from four different floors and slaughtered them all at once?
"Hiss."
A collective intake of breath resounded throughout the lobby.
And it was only noon. He went in this morning and cleared four floors of monsters before lunch...
"August... this was your first day as an Adven— as a Supporter, and you dove straight into the tenth floor?!" Misha stared incredulously at Hestia, who was radiating absolute smugness.
'That is your Supporter?' Misha thought, her eye twitching. 'Who are you kidding? He dove to the tenth floor on day one!'
At this progression rate, he would be organizing deep-strata expeditions by the end of the week. What kind of abomination had Hestia recruited?
"Hurry up and cash those in," Hestia waved a hand casually. "I have other business to attend to with my child."
The appraiser cast a deeply cautious glance at August. He knew right then that Orario had just welcod a true anomaly. He quickly untied the sacks and began sorting the stones.
There were Level 1 stones from the upper floors, and even a few rare drops that looked close to Level 2. It was obvious he hadn't bothered picking targets—he'd just wiped out everything in range and scooped up the remains. The appraiser's hands flew as he tallied the haul.
"Lili, ask Miss Misha for so intel. I need detailed maps of the lower floors and updated bestiaries," August ordered, glancing down at the kneeling Pallum.
"YES, SIR!" Hearing the command, Lili instantly shot to her feet.
"Hello! I am Liliruca Arde of the Soma Familia, currently serving as August's Supporter!" Lili announced, puffing out her chest.
She felt zero sha admitting her affiliation with the notorious Soma Familia. August was her shield. She now works exclusively for August of the Hestia Familia. If anyone wanted to pick a bone with her, they had to go through him.
Having his support made her feel more confident than ever. She knew she was relying on his strength, but the confidence it gave her was overwhelming.
"The Soma Familia..." Misha frowned.
She hadn't expected to see a Supporter from that camp. Unlike her good friend Eina Tulle, Misha had to deal with many shady characters. She had heard plenty of disturbing rumors about the Soma Familia from other rookies.
But seeing this Soma Supporter standing there, chin up and full of swagger...
'She is totally riding his coattails,' Misha thought dryly. It was obvious this Pallum had sold her soul to the Hestia Familia. Then again, with a monstrous rookie like August backing her, Misha knew she would be just as smug in Lili's place.
