Lynch slightly raised an eyebrow, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. Does Charlie and his sibling have any treasure?"

Mr. Wycliffe promptly brought in the oxygen mask. After greedily inhaling a few breaths, the sensation of his body losing strength slightly improved.

The issues caused by heart failure are nurous. For instance, he sotis experiences difficulty breathing, chest tightness, and oxygen has beco extrely important to his life.

In fact, just a few months ago, it hadn’t progressed to the current state. Yet in just those few months, the condition rapidly worsened.

The dical group and he established a private dical research lab dedicated to researching human organ transplantation.

Of course, whether it be the Federation’s dical institutions or Mr. Wycliffe himself, none would admit to having established such a research institution.

They have conducted at least twenty heart transplant experints through various ans. So far, the longest survival has been only about a week.

It appears as though these researches do not significantly help Mr. Wycliffe in surviving; however, that’s not the case.

Because these studies have prompted the dical group to start targeted developnt of an anti-rejection special drug, which effectively reduces the probability and occurrence of rejection responses.

They have also mastered thods to reactivate hearts and how to maintain the patient’s vital signs during heart removal.

These can indeed be considered trendous scientific progress, but these achievents cannot be freely disclosed, for they all rest on the foundation of trampling other human lives!

So indigenous people, so Nagariel people, always make a living by selling conscience and morality. In these people’s eyes, humans themselves are commodities, and high-priced ones at that.

Since they are commodities, why can’t they be bought and sold?

These experints spent the last of Mr. Wycliffe’s wealth. He now barely has any money left, and those valuable assets have mostly been handled, making it difficult to get more money.

Currently, the research has made a breakthrough. The research team told him that if he can continue funding, not only can they accelerate the study of so key dications, but they can also find more suitable surgical thods through actual surgeries, reducing risks during the operations.

Living is about resisting death, yet also fearing it.

He must get more money, so he rembered he still has sothing very valuable in his possession—Charlie (brother) and that key!

"Please let speak with Mr. Lynch alone for a while!" Mr. Wycliffe looked at Lynch, joking self-deprecatingly, "Do you mind being alone with a man who’s dying?"

Lynch didn’t distinctly express himself; he looked at Mr. Wycliffe, "Seeing you made realize how vital and precious life is. I wouldn’t put my life in dangerous places."

He said, half-jokingly, "I’m really terrified of death."

Austin didn’t leave the room but stayed by the door, at a distance from them.

For Lynch’s caution and prudence, Mr. Wycliffe didn’t comnt or feel it was insulting.

He looked at Lynch, "Charlie and his sibling sold off most of their holdings before the silver crash, earning at least a few billion. This money was stored across various banks as tokens, under anonymous accounts!"

"You should know the withdrawal thods for anonymous accounts..."

Lynch nodded; he indeed knew.

The Federation’s six major banks and banks around the world share a consistent attitude towards anonymous accounts; they don’t care who deposits or withdraws the money, only whether those people can provide the necessary token.

This token might be a key and a lock: whoever brings the key or lock to the bank, opens the lock stored by the bank, or has the key stored by the bank unlocked, becos the owner of the anonymous account and possesses sovereign rights.

This system provides the simplest, most efficient, and safest thod for money deposits and withdrawals to the maximum extent possible.

Anyone, regardless of being a Federation Senator, Representative, or high-ranking official, as long as they have an account and a token, can legally deposit and withdraw these funds.

This greatly increases the oversight of certain fund flows; nurous law enforcent agencies in the Federation have tried pushing legislation to alter this situation, yet all failed during Congressional discussions.

After all, under the anonymous system, Congressn are the most direct beneficiaries.

No one knows that an unassuming little decoration or souvenir on a Senator’s desk might be a token to withdraw money from so anonymous bank account—nobody will know these!

They don’t know the nas of these accounts, so investigating them becos impossible.

Even if they did know, the bank might not necessarily agree.

Mr. Wycliffe continued, "It’s a very clever pendant; the pendant can be divided into three parts. The bank holds one part, and the siblings each hold one."

"Now, Charlie (brother)’s part is in my hands!"

Mr. Wycliffe beca sowhat excited, "Mr. Lynch, Charlie (sister) has already been controlled by you. As long as you can obtain her pendant and the account number, you can acquire billions in wealth!"

"And I only need a small part to continue my life—you won’t lose out in this deal!"

His attitude was quite humble; he also considered finding others to discuss this deal but eventually gave up.

Firstly, the figure he demanded was quite high; those big capitalists indeed have billions but withdrawing large amounts of cash in a short ti is very difficult.

There is an unconfird rumor in the Federation that Lynch is very affluent in terms of cash, always able to produce enormous amounts of cash anyti and anywhere, which also beca one of the factors for choosing him as a partner.

Additionally, other major capitalists in the Federation don’t have great reputations, quite the contrary, Lynch has a much better reputation; he rarely plays dirty. As long as you follow his rules, he sticks to them.

He looked at Lynch with anticipation—the dical group stated that about twenty million is required to raise the heart transplant success rate to above thirty percent!

The Doctor said that this success rate is already extrely high. If they can find a more suitable heart, he has a great chance to hold on!

Lynch was sowhat surprised but then again it was understandable, "This matter is unproven; I can’t ascertain if what you’re saying is true. Additionally..."

He pursed his lips, "How much do you plan to ask for?"

"One hundred million, just one hundred million..."

By the ti Lynch left, this price had already dropped to thirty million, and mr. Wycliffe would only receive the money after Lynch got the funds; before this, he couldn’t get even a single penny from Lynch.

Charlie (sister) is still in the hands of the Security Committee, and she won’t be released anyti soon. In so sense, she’s one of the main culprits of the silver tragedy, and the Federation cannot simply let her go.

More importantly, she’s still holding onto money. Before extracting the money from her, the Security Committee won’t release her.

The Security Committee’s budget is limited each year, even though it’s a security agency, its budget is limited.

The Security Committee is unlike the Military Intelligence Bureau or Strategic Intelligence Bureau, which are military departnts; they fall under military budget.

They only need to submit a report and list each year, waiting for Congress’s approval.

The Congressn won’t hinder the military’s budget, allowing them to always get the sum they desire.

But the Security Committee is different; its creation once represented a non-military faction’s security agency, as so were guarding against military personnel then.

Later, those people left their positions, and the military was proven non-problematic, yet the Security Committee was not dismantled, leading to a slightly awkward status.

The biological father stepped down, and the stepfather isn’t friendly, nor dares show closeness to the Security Committee.

Compared to the Military Intelligence Bureau and Strategic Intelligence Bureau squandering funds recklessly, the Security Committee appears sowhat strapped.

But fortunately, the Security Committee boasts considerable power—also structured to counteract military forces—so rerouting so money as funding remains an implicit rule.

The President knows, Mr. Truman knows, the military knows, and Congressn all know.

Lynch, having nothing to do, went to the Security Committee.

The Security Committee headquarters is established on the outskirts of Bupen, occupying a vast area, marked as a military restricted zone, with patrolling personnel.

People appearing in the surroundings, if not promptly leaving, might be "invited" to stay for several days.

After layers of checks, Lynch appeared before Charlie (sister).

Her ntal state looked not very good, sowhat haggard.

"Lynch, can you help ask when I can leave here?" Seeing Lynch, she beca extrely excited.

Over this period she was repeatedly interrogated, then signing checks, paying various compensation.

The Security Committee inford her that the President agreed to pardon her charges such as "disrupting financial order," but this cos with conditions.

Firstly, she must provide compensation to families affected by the tragedy during the silver crash—this has been her main work recently.

Paying tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, constantly spending money, her account has gradually dried up.

This also led to her fear, worrying that once her money is drained, the Federation might go back on their word.

Because, to this day, she hasn’t seen the President’s signed pardon; she couldn’t find anyone else to inquire about these matters, so when seeing Lynch she naturally beca very excited!

"Of course, but this ti I didn’t co here to talk about that; I ca to inform you, there’s news about your brother."

Charlie (sister) froze for a mont, then abruptly stood up, "Where is he?"
