Watching Kaguya slowly ascend into the sky, Shido's eyes widened in utter disbelief.
"Kukuku, how about that! This is the true power of my Wings of Darkness!"
Kaguya hovered right above Shido, looking down at the boy who had to shield his face with his arms to block the fierce wind generated by her wings. She laughed triumphantly.
"Exposure. Kaguya actually used Spirit energy."
However, Yuzuru ruthlessly pointed out the true nature of the girl's magic trick.
"I-I-I didn't use Spirit energy at all!"
Hearing that, the airborne Kaguya instantly panicked.
"What the heck, so it really was just Spirit energy?"
While he was genuinely shocked at first, thinking about it logically, Shido arrived at the exact sa conclusion as Yuzuru.
"I told you, it isn't Spirit energy! It's not Spirit energy!"
Kaguya frantically flapped her wings in mid air, completely losing her composure.
"Instruction. Please observe the barrier of light around Kaguya's skirt."
Yuzuru smirked wickedly and pointed at Kaguya's short skirt. Looking closely, there was a transparent barrier of light surrounding it. It looked exactly like a partial Astral Dress that she desperately wanted to manifest but was holding back from fully activating.
"Ugh..."
Looking up, Shido didn't just see the barrier of light around her skirt. He also clearly saw the black panties with the inverted cross emblem between the girl's legs.
"Wait! Shido... where are you looking—!?"
Noticing Shido's gaze, Kaguya instantly panicked.
"N-No... I didn't an to... I was just trying to confirm if Kaguya was using Spirit energy..."
Shido explained, his face turning bright red.
"I keep telling you, I didn't use Spirit energy! Look... like this..."
Realizing that no one believed her, Kaguya canceled her Spirit energy in mid air and began flapping her wings with all her might.

And, naturally, she began to plumt.

Standing directly beneath the girl, Shido watched helplessly as Kaguya fell straight toward him. And then...
Thud!
"Ow, ow, ow... Ah... sorry, Shido..."
Kaguya struggled to sit up, only then realizing that Shido had served as her landing cushion.
"Ugh..."
Pinned beneath the girl, the boy struggled to open his eyes. Thankfully, Kaguya hadn't flown very high, otherwise, he would have been seriously injured. Even so, Shido still felt like he had been smashed with a sledgehamr.
"Huh?"
As his consciousness slowly returned, the first thing that entered his vision was a rather cool looking inverted cross emblem. He felt like he had seen it sowhere just a mont ago.

On the other hand, Kaguya finally seed to realize the situation. She looked down and saw that Shido's head was resting directly between her legs. And the boy's eyes were staring blankly straight at her newly bought panties. (TL: classic harem mont, so good)

Shido struggled, trying to sit up. However, perhaps because she was completely overwheld by embarrassnt, instead of standing up, Kaguya forcefully pressed down on the hem of her skirt, burying his face squarely between her skirt and her panties. (TL:Holy)

Even if she had turned into a cat, she couldn't neglect her duties as a Commander.
"Are the analysis results out yet, Reine?"
"Yes. I found sothing strange."
Hearing Kotori's question, Reine nodded.
"Let's hear it."
"It's regarding everyone's Spirit Waves. The wavelengths are showing a lot of differences compared to our normal records."
"The cause?"
"Currently untraceable. We lack the proper equipnt."
Reine shook her head. If the Fraxinus were still operational, they could likely obtain much more precise analysis results. Relying solely on the equipnt transported here by van in a single night left the accuracy sorely lacking.
"It can't be helped. Tell Kannazuki to bring the newest model of the Spirit Wave Observation Device here imdiately."
Kotori pulled out her phone and said with a sigh.
A few hours later...
"Commander! I have missed you so deeply, Commander... Gufu!"
The door was suddenly thrown open. A figure rushed in, slamd a heavy piece of equipnt onto the tatami mats with a loud thud, and imdiately dove toward Kotori. Naturally, he was swiftly kicked away by the young girl's slender leg.
"You got here pretty fast. I'll praise you for that at least. By the way, what's that?"
Looking at Kannazuki rolling on the floor, Kotori nodded in satisfaction. Then, she noticed sothing sticking out of Kannazuki's pocket. It looked exactly like... a Chupa Chups.
"Oh, this? It's a gift everyone prepared for Shido-kun—an 'Anti Commander Silver Vine Chupa Chups'!" (TL:Silver vine, cat nip ,matatabi, sa shit)
Hearing Kannazuki's words, Kotori's fur instinctively stood on end. She had a strong feeling that if Shido actually got his hands on that, and she actually ate it, sothing incredibly disastrous was going to happen.
"Alright, confiscated."
Kotori snatched the highly forbidden candy from Kannazuki's pocket and slipped it into the special Chupa Chups strap tied around her thigh.
"As a reward and a punishnt, I grant you permission to do the 'air chair' for one hour."
The reward was for delivering the equipnt so quickly. The punishnt... was naturally for the Chupa Chups. The recipient of said punishnt happily assud a squatting stance in the middle of the room.
"However, I noticed sothing strange on my way here."
Kannazuki said while holding his invisible chair pose.
"What is it?"
Kotori asked.
"Well... it felt like there was a Territory active in the area."
"Hah? Are you an idiot? This village is currently under a dia blackout. Of course we need a Territory active to control the flow of information."
Kotori sighed in exasperation.
"Ah... that's not what I ant. Just like the Commander's three sizes, there is absolutely no way I could ever forget the unique wavelength of the Commander's precious large scale Territory generator."
"So what? By the way, that's another hour of 'air chair'."
"Thank you, Commander! What I an is, it feels like there is another Territory covering this area, entirely separate from ours."
Kannazuki stated seriously.
"What did you say?"
If it were anyone else, Kotori probably would have laughed it off. But even though Kannazuki looked completely unreliable...
