Lex suddenly turned his head. He hurried to the control panel, his fingers deftly pressing several buttons. The surveillance cara switched to an external view of rcury.
Under the dazzling sunlight, the planet, originally composed of tal and glass and shimring brightly, burst open like a snowball. Countless chanical structures shot out, igniting in the high-speed flight and exploding into a spectacular display of fireworks.
Lex stood stunned for a full three seconds, then he suddenly slapped the panel, clearing away the obstructing warning texts, and controlled a drone to fly toward rcury.
But before it could get close enough to be within visual range, the drone was destroyed by the flying fragnts. Amidst the shower of countless falling fragnts, Lex, in the blurred perspective of the cara, saw a shadowy figure standing at the center of the Sun.
"Everyone, get to the eting room imdiately!" Oliver's unmistakable tone ca through the broadcast.
Lex rushed to the eting room as fast as he could, but he was the last to arrive. Hal had teleported Oliver there, Clark and Diana flew in, Arthur erged directly from the water cooler, and Bruce didn't bother to hide his wings—he put them away as Lex arrived.
Others like Harley, Pala, Barry, and Kara were also there, followed closely by Ron flying in through the window, while Zatanna and Constantine arrived through a teleportation portal. Both teams of Batman and Superman were seated at the back.
"No ti for discussions," Oliver began imdiately, "I'm assigning tasks now. Once you receive your task, head out right away. If anything changes, I'll contact you through Ron's Mind Network."
"First group, Hal and Barry. Head to the vicinity of rcury as fast as you can and investigate the situation there. It's critical to retrieve the black box from rcury's internal defense system and bring back all the data you can collect."
"If you encounter any enemies, don't engage in combat. If they chase you, Barry, you know what to do."
Barry and Hal nodded. In a flash of gold and green light, the two disappeared from the eting room.
"Second group, Clark and Diana. Fly to Earth's periter, orbit around the Moon, and use your Super Vision and Divine Power to spot any suspicious targets approaching. Take all necessary asures to intercept them."
"If you can't intercept them, alter their flight trajectory to make them land in uninhabited areas, and notify the ground defense forces to handle them as quickly as possible."
Clark and Diana also nodded. One after the other, they flew out the window, the sonic booms trailing behind them as they rapidly vanished from sight.
"Third group, Zatanna and John. Return to Gotham Magic Academy imdiately and check the status of the Earth Magic Defense Network. Maximize its output force, don't worry about energy consumption, and ensure that all energy attacks are intercepted outside of Earth."
"If you find the Magic Defense Network under attack, dispatch people to the attack site instantly. Neutralize the enemy on the spot, and if you can't, call for backup. Make sure nothing gets through."

Now, the entire eting room was left with Lex, Oliver, and the two teams of Superman and Batman.
Oliver looked at Lex and said, "You take care of Arica, I'll handle the Soviet Union. Make sure they understand the gravity of the situation."
"Don't worry, their scientists must have already noticed the abnormal celestial phenona. Combined with Bruce's plan, they will take action quickly."
After Lex left, Oliver looked at the remaining four and said, "Sorry, there's no place for you in our ergency protocol, but there are definitely things you can do."
"You speak," said both Batmans in unison.
