"I won’t be threatened by you, Wei Long!" she declared, turning back to the screen. "Xiaobei, don’t worry about ! Just run! If there’s a next life, I promise I’ll be your woman!"
Beside him, Luo Qingcheng, still clutching his arm, looked absolutely petrified, thinking she must have misheard. She knew Chen Xiaobei was a scumbag—after all, he’d even slept with trash like Zhao Caixia. But she never imagined he’d be this much of a scumbag, carrying on an affair with his own sister-in-law! He really was a scumbag on a galactic scale!
An indescribable discomfort filled Luo Qingcheng’s heart, a turmoil of complex emotions. Her small hand trembled violently as it dug into Chen Xiaobei’s arm.

Just as despair consud her, her intense fear causing her to collapse to the ground—

With a sharp cry, a huge calico cat leaped out, planting itself in front of Shen Jiawen.
In the video, Xiao Hua casually licked its paw, its pale blue eyes filled with utter contempt for Wei Long and his n. It didn’t even deign to look Wei Long in the eye, radiating pure arrogance. At his remark, everyone on site, including Li Maowen, burst out laughing. Even Luo Qingcheng was shocked, unable to understand what was wrong with Chen Xiaobei and why he would say sothing so nonsensical.
"Chen Xiaobei, you’ve really lost it!" Li Maowen finally lost his patience. "In that case, Wei Long, don’t go easy on that bitch! Kill that cat and bring Shen Jiawen to !"
"Consider it done, Third Young Master." Wei Long nodded, raising his club and bringing it crashing down toward Xiao Hua.

At that exact mont, Xiao Hua moved. Its body was a blur, fast as the wind and quick as lightning.
Wei Long only felt a cold gust of wind flash past him before a sharp, intense pain shot through the arm holding the club. He looked down to see that a chunk of flesh had been ripped clean from his right forearm, exposing the stark white bone beneath.
"AAAAHHHHH!"
Wei Long let out a horrific scream from the searing pain and collapsed to the ground.
In an instant, everyone was dead silent.
