Marev slowly opened his eyes but felt even more pain than Diliy did when he was awakened. Rean wasn't kidding when he said Marev's Soul was in an even worse condition than Diliy's.
However, his eyes shot open, noticing that the seal on his cultivation had disappeared. He quickly began to circulate his Spiritual Energy... No, he couldn't circulate anything. Sister Orb completely blocked Marev from using his Spiritual Energy or anything else. "Is my cultivation still sealed?"
"Calm down, brother," Karev, who was right in front, patted Marev's shoulder. "You are safe here, but your soul suffered so serious damage. If you keep trying to circulate your Spiritual Energy while it is blocked, you might truly perish."
Marev looked at Karev, and his eyes beca teary. "So it wasn't a dream... Karev, is it really you? Also... I can't feel that thing in my soul anymore."
Karev smiled. "It is not a dream indeed. As for the thing in your soul, we call it Werdlem Soul Worm. I told you before we left the Detention Center, didn't I? You didn't need to worry. I would fix everything. It was about ti your older brother did sothing for you."
Marev got up slowly with Karev's help, looking around and seeing everyone there. "So many years... To think I'm finally out of that place. Karev pointed at Rean, feeling just as happy for his brother. "This is the person who took the worm out of your soul. His na is Rean, and he is... a business partner of mine."
"Business partner?" Marev got confused.
Well, it wasn't the wrong thing to say. From the very start, Rean and Roan were helping Karev in exchange for the Divine Werdlem Stones Karev obtained. Well, the twins didn't really need them anymore, but they could use them for the others. Not to ntion, they didn't really have many interactions to call each other friends.
"Hello there." Rean introduced himself. "Your soul is in a bad state, and I'm not really sure if it can recover from such extensive damage. You will probably need Divine Energy and a lot of ti for that. But, for now, you are free from the worm. As he said, I'm Rean, Rean Larks."
"I'm... I'm Marev, Karev's younger brother. Thank you for helping us. If there is anything I can do in exchange, please just say so. Anything is better than going back into that place," Marev answered.
Hearing that, Karev quickly accessed his Spatial Ring, pulling out five shining stones. "Here they are. These are all the Divine Stones I found in that underground facility."
Marev smiled after seeing them. "So you truly got the stones. I was right, wasn't I? My secret passage brought you directly to them, bypassing all protection formations or guards in the way."
Karev sighed. "Yes, they were very easy to acquire."
Rean looked at the stones, and together with Sister Orb, both of them analyzed their properties. "Sister Orb, can you see it?"
[Yes,] Sister Orb noticed the sa difference. [These are indeed Divine Werdlem Stones, but they were not made for cultivators to use-no wonder they were used as regulators of the formations. "This..." Karev had to admit Rean's words made sense. "But these are the paynts I promised you. If you can't use these stones, I don't think I have anything else that I can use to pay you."

Part of the conjecture the twins reached involved Marev. He was the first one to ntion the calamity that would fall over the world. The twins considered two possibilities when Zangeshu pointed that out. One, the calamity Marev ntioned was not the Abyssal Soul. Or two, the calamity was indeed related to the Abyssal Soul, but Duere didn't know it. Marev's answer will clarify it.
"Whatever I know, you will know as well. Please, ask anything." Marev turned serious, knowing that a wave of questions would follow sooner or later.
Rean then proceeded to explain everything that happened so far, including the formations of the world, the battle against Duere, the Abyssal Soul, etc. Finally, he asked the question he was interested in. "Did you know about the Abyssal Soul's existence?"
Marev shook his head. "I didn't know."
That answer made everyone's expression turn dark. Could it an the calamity Marev talked about wasn't the Abyssal Soul?
However, Marev didn't finish there. "However, I'm pretty sure they are both the sa. What I managed to find out was that the Divine Werdlem Stone Context would be used to gather all the top cultivators of the Solar System. When that happened, a set of formations would be used to rob them of their cultivations and even their life force. No one on the planet would be
spared."
Finally, everyone relaxed. "So it was truly the Abyssal Soul..."
Marev continued. "I didn't know it was the Abyssal Soul behind all of this. However, I am also
a formations master and a very good one at it. Let tell you how I ended up finding out about that plan."
