Kentucky and Roan stayed with Ridia for a few days and eventually left her alone. She wasn’t Celis, who could absorb absolutely ridiculous amounts of energy at once. Ridia needed to work at a more steady pace. Of course, with Roan’s cultivation technique, she was still far faster than anyone around her.
Back in the sect, Roan and Kentucky returned to the house Rean rented just to see Rean and Zangeshu working on the Divine Sense Circuitry Runes. "You can do that later. It’s ti for us to cultivate as well."
Rean turned to Roan, who had a not-very-happy Kentucky by his side. No doubt Kentucky was ’dragged’ along after Roan spoke about cultivation. "Already? What about Ridia?"
"She is doing fine," Roan comnted in the passing. "The cultivation technique is working as intended, and now she need to rely on herself. I gave her the order to focus on cultivation and nothing else for the ti being."
"That’s not what I ant." Rean shook his head, though. "She is alone down there. What if she decides to leave or do so nonsense? She is pretty much a kid still."
Roan pondered a bit, his eyes turning in Zangeshu’s direction.
Zangeshu’s expression imdiately darkened. "I’m not doing it! What do you think I am, a babysitter?"
Later that day, Zangeshu landed near the area where Ridia was cultivating, livid... "Fuck!"

The twins’ group decided to enter the Dinsional Realm, where the concentration of Divine Energy was higher. Missions? Sect Credits? Duty? They didn’t care about any of that. For now, they decided to stay here and just cultivate nonstop. They decided not to use the Starlight Stones, though. Instead, they would use the Starlight Energy of their Stars. Kentucky didn’t have his own star, but he still could use the Starlight Energy the twins acquired thanks to their connection.
[Hum? Why aren’t you using the Starlight Stones?] That obviously caught Sister Orb’s curiosity.
Roan shook his head. "If The Call works and Celis truly appears, then it will be a waste to use the Starlight Stones now, especially after they were so hard to acquire. Instead, we would do much better to keep them so we can share the stones with him. With his absorption ability, we would waste way less of their energy. We might be slower now, but we have a lot to gain in the long run."
[I see...] Sister Orb had to admit they made sense. [So you are going to cultivate with the natural Starlight during the next years, right?]
"Yes," Rean answered that. "It is actually a good thing. If we used the stones, our cultivation would go up too fast, and that would definitely attract too much attention. However, if we don’t use them, we will still be faster than most of the disciples, but it would be acceptable."
[Well, considering you need way more energy to cultivate and can still be at the top of the sect’s cultivation speed, I guess it makes sense.]
And so, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky began to cultivate again. Thanks to how much easier it was to acquire Divine Stones, they obviously had a lot more Divine Energy than they did Starlight Energy. To compensate for that discrepancy, only Kentucky absorbed Divine Energy in their group.
Rean and Roan, on the other hand, focused solely on the Starlight Energy from their stars, giving a third of it to Kentucky. It’s just that Kentucky was still much faster in the Divine Energy Category. They couldn’t beat the sheer amount of Divine Energy of their huge pile of Divine Stones.
Days went by, and everyone cultivated peacefully. During this ti, no one ca to bother the twins’ group. Even Lotan seed to have forgotten Rean existed. Rifindio spent his ti cultivating in the Demon Beast Hall, making quite a few friends there. He even went out with so of the Demon Bats to complete so tasks and missions.
Ridia was completely engrossed in that feeling of constant absorption of rich Earth and Wood Elents. It didn’t matter how much she got; the environnt around her didn’t seem to run out of it. That made her wonder why there were so much of those two elents in this place.
As for Zangeshu, he built himself a concealing formation and a small residence near Ridia while he worked on his formations, talismans, and blacksmithing. Well, he often had to pay a visit to Rean’s house when it ca to blacksmith... Other than that, he also went out once a while for his training. There was a reason he was convinced to keep an eye on Ridia. Rean agreed to keep in contact with him all the ti while he, Roan, and Kentucky were cultivating, teaching Zangeshu remotely.
Just like that, half a year went by, and no one expected anything to happen. However, the sect still had its own rules. Rean, Roan, and Kentucky eventually received ssages through their CDs, stating that the deadline for the sect mission was approaching.
One of the rules of the sect was to complete at least one mission every six months. The paynts for those missions would be shared between the disciple and the sect, and that was one of the various thods that generated revenue for the sect. Rean had ntioned before that the sect has a strong diplomatic drive, using their top experts and disciples to complete various missions around the Divine Snow World in exchange for connections other than just paynts.
Without much of a choice, the twins ca out of their cultivation session with Kentucky, who was actually happy to erge that soon. Rean could try to use his badge, but that would an only he would be able to stay. That wouldn’t be very useful since they can cultivate much faster together.
And so, those three left to take their first mission for the sect, selecting the closest and fastest possible one.
