It wasn’t possible to tell from which Universe those dead bodies ca from. So were Demon Beasts, others were humanoids. Maybe there were demons, spirits, angels, who knows? It wasn’t surprising that a few groups had gone further ahead, though. The twins’ group, before separating from Derravan, had to slow down because of the Space-Ti Realm guys. This group, which probably didn’t have this issue, naturally reached this place before most.
No one wanted to approach the waterfalls and the lake where their water converged. If there was a risk of that sa explosion happening again, they wanted to be as far away as possible so they could have a chance to escape. Still, if no one went ahead, they would be in this stalemate forever. Besides, sooner or later, those who fled from the fake Energy Beasts would notice their mistake and return. That ant more competition if this place had sothing of value.
"You over there!" One of those groups’ experts, one near the twins’ group, turned to Rean, Roan, and the others. He had a Blue Light, a sign of him and his group being from Universe F953. "Go there and check if there is anything dangerous."
Roan glanced at the guy, snorting. "Why don’t you go? I definitely won’t stop you."
The man was furious. How long had it been since soone below the Divinity Realm treated him like that? Besides, he wasn’t even talking to Roan, but Elsie instead. Since she was the only one in the Space-Ti Realm in their group, he thought Elsie was the one in command. "You have three seconds to go before I kill you. Do you want a guaranteed death here, or a possible death at the lake?"
Rean shrugged. "You, attacking us? Sure, give it a try. I just wonder if your montary lapse of attention will cause others to get rid of you instead. Or perhaps they will rush to the lake and leave you behind? Hahaha!"
The man gritted his teeth. And yet, he wasn’t an idiot. Many eyes were glued on him and his group. His group had six Divinity Realm experts, definitely a relatively strong one. Everyone wanted nothing more than a chance to eliminate the competition.
"Hmph!" Roan was cold. "Only bark, no bite. Next ti, keep your mouth shut."
So couldn’t help but burst out into laugher, which caused the guy to grow even more furious. But in the end, he knew what was at stake, so he remained in his place, not talking to the twins’ group anymore. Anyone wishing to force the twins’ group to take action would have to take action against the twins’ group first. This was too risky.
The problem remained. If no one walked ahead to check the lake, they would stay stuck in this place forever. Well, everyone knew it wouldn’t continue like this for long. Soone would eventually take the first step, hoping they were making the right decision... and it didn’t take more than a minute.
"Look, those guys from Universe F949 are going to the lake!" Soone spoke, and everyone’s eyes turned away from the twins’ group. The Red Light on their chest showed their origin, and everyone paid attention.
Surprisingly, they weren’t the only ones. Kentucky also went ahead, having discussed it with the twins. He had the highest defense, and if he put in the necessary effort, he could also fly in this high-gravity environnt, so he was the fastest one if the need to escape appeared. ’Sotis I wish I didn’t have my defenses...’ Kentucky complained inwardly. The idea of sending him to check definitely didn’t co from him.
Seeing two different groups making a move, so others also began to approach the lake and the waterfalls slowly. It’s just that they kept a bigger distance from the water than those two ahead.
With his soul, Kentucky’s Divine Sense was the first one to reach the lake and see its conditions. The water inside was murky, a result of the mixture of the colored waters from the waterfalls. He also checked so of the body pieces floating on it, but he couldn’t detect anything out of place. Well, the body parts were definitely out of place, but there was no helping it.
Kentucky wasn’t exactly known for his patience, so he eventually increased his pace, taking the front and quickly getting to the lake. Once there, and making sure he couldn’t see anything wrong with his Divine Sense, he decided to check the water. So of his Divine Energy accumulated, and he shot an arrow of light elent into it.
*Ts...*
Yet, it didn’t pierce through the water as intended. Instead, as soon as it ca into contact with that murky water, all the Divine Energy of the arrow dispersed, and for a mont, Kentucky seed to have seen his arrow changing color. The arrow disappeared while the lake didn’t even ripple.
Not too far back, the twins’ group was also approaching, and thanks to the twins’ Divine Sense, they also saw what happened to the Light Arrow Kentucky threw inside. ’The water can get rid of Divine Energy, it seems.’
Hearing the description from the twins, Rifindio narrowed his eyes. ’I don’t think it was absorbed. Instead, it was probably contaminated and destroyed from within.’
His words caught the twins’ group’s attention. ’How do you know?’
’In the last mont, the arrow’s color changed, didn’t it? Wasn’t it the sa color as the murky water of the lake?’ Rifindio explained.
The twins asked Kentucky, who confird that it indeed looked like the sa color, but it was extrely fast, so it was hard to pay attention.
’There you have it,’ Rifindio concluded. ’Why would the light arrow Kentucky used need to change color before disappearing. I think that was just a result of it being invaded by the lake’s properties.’
Hearing that, Kentucky made sure to not touch it, even though he was curious. Nonetheless, the explosion from earlier didn’t seem to happen, so the various groups ended up reaching the lakeside. It didn’t take long for them to notice the sa thing Rifindio did.
"Could it be that there is sothing of value at the bottom?" Soone asked.
"Do you think? Well, how about you go there and check?" And soone quickly teased.
"So what do you suggest? We make camp here and wait to see if soday sothing happens?" A female demon beast also joined the conversation.
So ignored the lake, looking at the waterfalls on the back. Since they all ca from the sa entrance, they arrived from the opposite side of the lake relative to the waterfalls. In the end, they could only try to go around, or fly above it if they had the capability. Others threw a few rocks or so other things they had in their Spatial Rings, but they all disappeared inside the murky water.
*Splash!*
Yet, at that mont, the sound of sothing falling into the water echoed again. It’s just that this ti, it wasn’t so rock or whatever. Instead, it was soone!
