Rifindio brought Rean to a living room, passing the order not to be disturbed. "Okay, what was it you wanted my help with?"
*Zush!*
Roan appeared there as well. He wanted to watch it closely. "I’ll tell you about this new quest from the system."
A few minutes later, Rifindio finally understood why the twins needed his Werdlem Network Authority. "Okay, I can do that. However, don’t ask to help you with this search. I wouldn’t even know where to start."
*Zush!*
[I’m here for that!] Sister Orb was the one to appear now. [Just bring out your CD and use your Werdlem Energy to keep it working. No one will be faster than while searching the network.]
*Zush!*
Kentucky also appeared.
"And you are here for?" Roan glanced at him.
"Moral support!" to which Kentucky answered with confidence.
"Why do I even ask?" Roan shook his head in resignation.
Rifindio turned to the twins, who nodded back at him. Finally, he used his CD, which had his ID and authority changed after he beca the Universe Owner. Rifindio then let Sister Orb do as she pleased. "Just don’t try to make any weird requests with my ID. Because of my authority on the network, I’m also monitored more closely. I don’t need the Werdlem Empire on my ass before I complete the very first year as the new Universe Owner."
[Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing. Besides, don’t forget our system’s power. Now, let work.]
Sister Orb quickly connected to the Werdlem Network, which recognized her as Rifindio. Sure enough, the network expanded many tis for her, and she could even look at more specific information regarding other Universes up to Rank C. Of course, that didn’t include routes and such since travel between Universes was very restricted.
As Sister Orb worked, Rifindio couldn’t help but ask. "By the way, I’m happy you ca here to see , but was it really necessary? I an... Rean and Sister Orb can literally copy my ID in the Werdlem Network and use it as if they are ."
Rean shook his head, though. "We are talking about a Universe Owner Authority, you know? Sure, I could copy it. But then there would be two of us in two different places. You said it yourself, you are being monitored a lot more closely. Even if you hadn’t offered for us to co visit you, I would have asked it."
"I see..." Rifindio nodded, not asking anymore.
The Control Orb shone with White and Dark Lights, a monuntal amount of data passing through it every second. At so point, the twins, Kentucky, and Rifindio could even feel the Control Orb heating up due to how much information it was processing.
[Ha! Found it!]
Eventually, Sister Orb finished. Right after, she disconnected from Rifindio’s CD and used her own power to show the information she got to them.
[Take a look.] What appeared was a bunch of information regarding a specific Universe. [This is Universe D33, and as the system ntioned, there wasn’t really any direct information regarding this corrupt system in the network.]
The images changed, and Sister Orb highlighted so of them. It was information regarding so experts who have been long dead. There was pretty much nothing about them, but Sister Orb put the pieces together. [However, look at these experts. To be more specific, take a look at their capabilities.]
Rean looked closely and quickly understood after reviewing so of the experts. "Higher cultivation speed. This other one seed to have so knowledge that surpassed the state of the technology of his Universe. As for this guy, he had a new cultivation technique of which there was no information about its origin. Oh, and this guy..."
"Alright, we get it," Roan stopped Rean. "Those are quite similar to the upgrades we got from our own system. There are even so experts with unusual abilities that our system doesn’t currently offer for us to choose from. However, just because they are similar, it doesn’t an they originated from a system."
He continued. "Higher cultivation speed might just be the result of a mutation or so other reason. Knowledge that isn’t available in that Universe doesn’t an it ca from a system either. Maybe it was simply developed there in secret, and no one found it for a long ti. In the case of the cultivation techniques, I can create brand new ones, so there isn’t anything special about them either."
[Yes, you are right,] Sister Orb agreed with Roan. [However, look how many of them I found. There are hundreds of such experts.]
"A Universe is a big place. What’s wrong with having hundreds of them?" Roan asked back.
[The ti and location.] Sister Orb then changed the images, now showing the sources of all the information she got from D33.
"Hum..." Now Roan couldn’t ignore it anymore. "There is no location, just the ti of the information. I see. That’s the point. These experts all gained fa simultaneously in different parts of Universe D33, and the information regarding their origins has been erased. In fact, all the information regarding them seems to be lacking for what they created during their ti."
[Yes,] Sister Orb confird. [In fact, there seem to have been many more, but there are gaps in the stream of information from this ti. These that I’m showing you are nothing but a few fish that escaped the net during the erasing of the information about them. However, I did find one more thing.]
Once again, the images changed, this ti showing causes of death. There was truly none alive anymore.
-Unknown-
[It is the sa for all of them. There are a few pieces about so of these individuals, discussing how they seem to lose their composure and behave erratically. If you put everything we know together, this Universe D33 seems the most likely to hold this corrupt system or its remnants. There were a few other candidates, but the other examples from other Universes I found didn’t really have any restrictions in their profiles like these from D33. This has to be the one.]
Rean and Roan nodded. "Alright, and do you know where they ca from in that Universe?"
[No,] Sister Orb couldn’t go that deep. [Rifindio’s authority isn’t enough. He is an Owner from a F-ranked universe, after all. A D-ranked Universe is too far from his league. If I try to go any further, then I’m afraid I can’t avoid being detected. Rifindio would possibly be questioned about why he is looking into all of this. I’d rather not risk it.]
None of them complained. "That’s more than enough. At least we know where to start our search when the ti cos. Well, we aren’t even sure if we are going to look for this corrupted system or whatever."
Rifindio sighed, putting his CD away. "Then I guess this is as far as we go. I can’t leave this Universe anymore, after all."
"You did way more than we could ask," Roan said. "Thank you."
Rean smiled. "Next stop, Universe F974... and possibly death as soon as we get there."
