’Could it be they are lying?’ Rean asked Roan through their connection.
Roan had his doubts. ’It does look like a very absurd story. However, they aren’t idiots. Why would they say such a thing if they knew it was hard to believe in the first place? I won’t say they are telling the truth, but we can’t discard the possibility that this ’Now’ called ’Default’ really does exist.’
Rean nodded slightly, returning his attention to Xyrath. ’So, where would we find this Default?’
Xyrath shook his head in response. ’I don’t know. I believe he is here because of what Roan said, that it was only the Primordial Beasts with the abilities related to the pillars of the world that were imprisoned. There is no confirmation, and we might be wrong. Default might not be anywhere near the Werdlem Empire to start with.’
Roan agreed with Xyrath there. ’Indeed. Although my theory is solid, we won’t know for sure until we find all of you. Well, we don’t have any intention to go look for the others, at least not now.’
’As long as you help get free, I will try to help the others myself,’ Xyrath said.
’Don’t worry,’ Rean insisted. ’As we said, we have a lot to gain from freeing you. Besides, although we wouldn’t call each other friends, we aren’t enemies either. Let’s just say we are on good terms.’
’That’s nice to hear,’ Xyrath was indeed relieved.

It was obvious neither Laiana nor Xyrath would say anything, so they ended that topic there.
Since that was the case, Foliana asked sothing else. ’Alright, if Roan’s theory is correct, the twelve Primordial Beasts in the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble are the pillar ones. How about you tell us more about the rest of them?’
’No,’ Roan stopped her. ’For now, we will only take the information regarding Default, Tharos, and Soltrex. Don’t say anything about the rest.’
’Eh?’ Xyrath didn’t expect that. He was already preparing to talk about the other seven. ’Why would you not want to hear?’
’That’s my problem,’ Roan answered.
It was quite simple. Roan didn’t want to get a quest from the system for each one of them. He didn’t know why there was no quest related to Default, but it was likely related to how Xyrath and Laiana couldn’t speak about him. That beast was bound to have so weird abilities. The other beasts, however, Roan was more or less certain that the system would create various quest updates.
The quests themselves wouldn’t be a problem. Instead, it would be the failure conditions. So far, the system hasn’t presented any failure condition or punishnt for failing to rescue the Primordial Beasts. However, if it suddenly added one, especially one with a ti constraint, that wouldn’t help at all. It was better to not hear about the rest for now and prevent more quests from being created.
Besides, the twins’ group could contact Laiana any ti they wanted through the Werdlem Network. Once Xyrath was freed, they probably could arrange a CD for him to bring away, too.
’If you say so...’ Xyrath didn’t insist. ’Is there anything else?’
’No...’ Roan didn’t have anything. ’Let’s go back to the original topic. What are you going to do when you put your body back together?’
’Oh, that reminded ,’ Rean suddenly intervened. ’Xyrath, once you recover your body, would you be at the peak of your power straight away?’
Back with Laiana, she had lost most of her strength. She wasn’t even a Celestial Realm-level existence anymore. Rean didn’t know how much of her strength Laiana recovered until now, but it probably wasn’t much for a being like her.
’Ha! I wish!’ Xyrath knew very well what he was going through. ’After my Ti Plates are put back together, I will need a very long ti to get them back to their original power. I say that I would be sowhere equivalent to a Semi-Celestial, maybe a shit Celestial Initial Stage.’
