Many of them stepped back. They saw what happened to Werxia, and most of them didn’t have Legendary Pills to save themselves. There was Rean, of course, but would he help? Even if he said he would, could they trust him? No one there was idiot enough to trust soone they didn’t even know.
Fruadixa, however, imdiately stepped forward. She gave that idea earlier, after all. "I will give it a try."

"Count in!"
And so did another six. As expected, the majority didn’t want to take that risk. Zanbril’s tests were also deadly, but at least the chances were much higher, and they knew what they needed to do. That collar, however, was nothing but a mystery.
Surprisingly, Xixie wasn’t among those willing to give it a try. Not that she didn’t want to, but because Derfiu stopped her. ’Don’t go. We have no hope of saving you if you are rejected.’ He seed to want to make up for his mistake.

Xixie felt like crying. Kentucky thought she was holding back and thus kicked her. It was not her, it was Derfiu! Well, too late now. She also joined the other princesses.
Zuey warned them, though. "Finding a compatible partner is hard, so even though you can also give it a try, don’t complain if the collar attacks you as a result."
Fruadixa ca forward first. "I’ll give it a try anyway."
She took the collar and put it on. Her Advisor was with her, ready to act. For a mont, the rging started without issues. Unfortunately...

Fruadixa took a healing pill and sighed. "Thank you."
The other princesses didn’t get nervous with that scene, though. Fruadixa showed that they could survive if their advisors acted fast enough, and Rean seed willing to help with the golden power.
Yet, as the second princess ca forward, Zuey paid attention to Rean instead. ’Impressive. Even if it is a tiny amount, he can force a power from the Celestial Plane out. Such a pure Yang Energy...’
The next was Klisand’ta, who wasn’t part of the princesses who reached the last test, but also offered herself. As Zuey said, the test results didn’t matter anymore. They just had to find soone compatible simply for Zanbril to survive.
In fact, Zanbril’s subordinates already began to arrange for many other females to be found and brought to the palace. Zuey made it clear it wasn’t easy to find compatible partners, so they had to find many candidates.

In Hukuku’s case, she just wanted to make sure that the others could survive before she tried it herself. That’s because her only remaining advisor was only a Divinity. As for Xixie, she simply thought she wouldn’t be chosen anyway, so her position in the queue didn’t matter.
Sure enough, one princess after another failed, but no one was surprised. Finally, it ca ti for Hukuku and Xixie.
"You can go ahead," Xixie offered.
Hukuku shrugged. "I’m not in a hurry."
Zanbril’s mouth twitched in response. Do they really wish to beco his wife? What with the lack of interest? Well... at least Xixie made it clear she didn’t have interest in him in the last test, so it wasn’t any news.
Xixie didn’t mind and she stepped forward. Kentucky was with her this ti as his scales and feather blades appeared on his arm, much smaller ones. He was ready to pull the collar at a mont’s notice.
Everyone watched, already expecting things to go wrong. Xixie was by far the one who voiced out how much she didn’t care about the Zentian Empire or Zanbril, so how could their emotions be compatible?
However, the collar began to rge with her body, and no side effects appeared. Slowly, it disappeared into her body. At the sa ti, the tattoo around her neck, which looked like a necklace, took form. The tattoo hadn’t appeared in anyone’s neck before, and the collar always attacked the princesses with that Golden Lightning.
Finally, the collar completely disappeared. If the collar showed a reaction now, even Kentucky wouldn’t be able to do anything. The collar was already gone.
Xixie looked at herself, surprised. So many twists and turns happened. But in the end, she was the chosen one? It didn’t seem correct.
"So..." Kentucky asked with a skeptical expression. "Is that it? Isn’t there so big spectacle when you find soone compatible or so shit? That was kinda boring."
Zanbril narrowed his eyes. "That can’t be right, right?"
Zanbril hadn’t told anyone, but he knew the positions of each princess who entered the Roan Formation. Because of Xixie’s motives, she was actually the last one among the five princesses in that last test. Had Werxia not been there, the other three would have been chosen before Xixie without a doubt. In fact, he was pretty sure any other princess would have been chosen instead of Xixie.
Above all, he truly didn’t feel like he and Xixie could get along together. She was just here to run away from her empire, not because she wanted to be here. Zanbril was different. He definitely wanted to work for the Zentian Empire in his own weird way. The two of them couldn’t be more polar opposites. Just the fact that she carried no risks ant nothing to him.
