Roan wasn’t surprised. In fact, neither Rean, Celis, nor Kentucky was. That’s because the quest had ended.

As ntioned, the quest ended because they wouldn’t be responsible for that battalion anymore. If they hadn’t left in the end, the quest would have continued since the montum of the first waves hadn’t been stopped yet. That could only an they would be sent sowhere else where they couldn’t intervene with Wurshan’s battalion.

After seeing the ssage, Roan imdiately contacted the other three through their soul connection. ’Co on. We need to report to the command center. The three of you probably received the sa summons.’

Rean checked his RC again before asking, ’Why are they calling us specifically?’

Roan already had a rough idea. ’What else could it be? They may not have realized I was the real one directing the battalion, but they definitely noticed our strength. Or maybe they saw sothing in one of us that they want to make use of. Celis was the perfect support, for example. As for the exact reason we are being called... we’ll find out soon enough.’

Although confused, the twins’ group left the fourth defensive line and headed toward the designated location. However, they quickly realized they were not the only ones summoned. When they arrived, around fifty cultivators from various races were already gathered there, all of them possessing powerful auras.

Most were clearly veteran Aura Gods. So stood silently while recovering energy, while others observed the newcors with sharp eyes filled with curiosity and caution.

Not long afterward, another figure arrived.

It was an Angel.

However, unlike the others present, this one was definitely a Zone God. His re presence created invisible pressure over the area, making many of the gathered experts instinctively straighten their postures. In this gathering of experts, the twins’ group stood out quite a bit due to their cultivation.

"Good, almost everyone is here," the Angel said calmly. "Wait a few more minutes for the remaining experts to arrive."

As expected, more cultivators soon appeared one after another. By the ti the gathering finally stopped, exactly seventy experts stood there, including Rean and Roan’s group.

Only then did the Angel begin the explanation.

"You were summoned because of your individual strength, survival abilities, or because you have so set of skills we will need," he said. "You may call Sudo. From now on, I will be in charge of this special unit, which has been created to target the Three-Eyed Raven."

The gathered experts were imdiately taken aback.

That sounded completely insane.

How could they possibly do anything against a Godly Horror? Even Sudo himself, despite being a Zone God, likely wouldn’t be capable of touching the Raven.

Naturally, Sudo already expected such reactions.

"By targeting the Raven, I do not an fighting it directly," he clarified right away. "More specifically, we will be dealing with the consequences of the Raven’s presence. Alongside us, four other special groups have also been ford. Each group will support one section of the fourth defensive line. Our role is to stabilize battalions that begin struggling after the Raven passes through their sectors."

A man called Nafato raised his hand at that point. "But you are a Zone God. Isn’t it too early to deploy soone at your level? The Godly Predators haven’t appeared yet. If too much of your energy is consud now, things could beco troubleso later."

Many cultivators secretly agreed with him.

Everyone understood how rare Zone Gods truly were. Excluding Besgol’s two Law Gods, Zone Gods represented the smallest number of experts on the battlefield by far. Across this one specific battlefield, there were probably only around a dozen of them.

In Nafato’s eyes, experts like Sudo should only move once the Godly Predators appeared.

Sudo himself did not disagree.

"You are correct," he admitted calmly. "Unfortunately, we have no choice. Because of the Raven, the battlefield is deteriorating much faster than expected. We must stop the montum of the first waves before the situation becos irreversible."

Then he continued, his expression turning more serious.

"If the fourth defensive line collapses, there won’t be enough ti to establish a fifth one properly. Reinforcents from neighboring countries are still arriving nonstop, but we need ti. That is why five Zone Gods have been deployed, alongside the strongest Aura Gods we could gather from the battlefield."

At that mont, soone glanced toward the twins’ group and frowned.

"Those four aren’t Aura Gods, though."

Imdiately, many eyes turned toward Rean and the others. Using their Celestial Senses, everyone quickly confird that the four of them were rely Middle Stage Anchor Gods.

Naturally, very few people here knew who the twins’ group truly was.

Sudo, however, didn’t seem bothered in the slightest.

"Do not worry about that," he said. "They aren’t the only Anchor Gods selected for the special units. If they were summoned, then it ans they possess abilities important enough for this mission. You will understand eventually."

Although several skeptical gazes remained, nobody openly complained. At the end of the day, they were soldiers. Orders were orders.

Besides, many of them actually viewed this assignnt as an opportunity.

Contribution during the war directly affected rewards and future benefits. Being selected for an elite battlefield unit would undoubtedly increase their rit trendously.

With the explanation finished, Sudo imdiately gave the order to move.

There was a reason five special groups had been ford. The fourth defensive line itself was divided into five major sectors across the battlefield. Turanzo Country obviously knew its own terrain extrely well, and every defensive section had been positioned to maximize the landscape advantages of the region.

The twins’ group’s unit was assigned to the second sector from the left. Compared to the others, this area actually possessed the smallest frontline.

However, the terrain there was extrely uneven, filled with hills, cliffs, and natural elevations that heavily favored the defenders.

At the sa ti, those sa terrain advantages also made large-scale coordination much more difficult whenever reinforcents were needed.

Normally, that wouldn’t be a major problem since Godly Creature hordes usually spread out more gradually.

Today, however, was clearly an exception.

There were simply too many Godly Creatures.

By the ti the twins’ group reached their assigned sector, the battle at the third defensive line was still ongoing. A few Godly Creatures occasionally managed to break through and reach the fourth line, but they were quickly eliminated before causing any real damage.

The true problem would begin once the third defensive line collapsed entirely.

And everyone already knew that collapse was inevitable.

Roan and the others continuously monitored the battlefield updates through their RCs. Reports from every sector flowed nonstop through the network, allowing them to follow the gradual deterioration of the third defensive line in real ti.

Battalion after battalion began disappearing from the network.

Naturally, the gaps left behind by their destruction beca openings for the Godly Creatures to exploit. So charged through the holes and attacked neighboring battalions from behind, while others simply continued advancing mindlessly toward the fourth defensive line.

*ROAR!*

*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*

Before long, the sounds of explosions began echoing throughout the region nearby.

Still, Sudo remained calm, and the special unit did not move.

It was only the beginning.

The small number of Godly Creatures reaching the fourth defensive line ahead of ti couldn’t create any real pressure yet.

Ti passed, and the third defensive line managed to hold for almost two entire hours before finally collapsing completely.

And then...

The true assault began.

Massive hordes of Godly Creatures surged toward the fourth defensive line like a flood released from a broken dam.

*CAW! CAW!*

Naturally, the Three-Eyed Raven followed soon after.

At that mont, Sudo called Kentucky over through the RC connection.

’You noticed the Raven earlier than anyone during the collapse of the first and second defensive line, warning your battalion every ti. That’s the reason I ordered the explosive arrays to open a path for your battalion while you were retreating toward the third line.’

Kentucky blinked in surprise.

So that was the reason.

Sudo continued before Kentucky could respond.

’Your companions from the Great Void are also exceptionally capable, which is why I summoned all of you together. This way, you won’t complain about being separated.’

Kentucky couldn’t help but answer. ’Well... I wouldn’t really...’

Sudo ignored that comnt completely. ’Whatever. From now on, your main role will be battlefield warning support. You may still participate in aerial combat if necessary, but your priority is detecting the Raven as early as possible and warning the unit before it arrives.’

His tone beca slightly more serious afterward. ’This special unit must remain operational no matter what. If we collapse, the battalions behind us will lose their best stabilization force.’

Kentucky honestly didn’t mind the assignnt at all. If anything, he was happy to do so. Fighting nonstop? Him? His lazy ass absolutely would prefer to do that job.

’You found the right bird for the job!’
