Chapter 1374: Chapter 596: Pollution is Everywhere

In the washroom, clear water splattered loudly, flowing down the drain.

Big Sweet Sister not only shielded Lin Baici from the water gun but also took the opportunity to hug him tightly, pressing herself against him.

“What the hell!”

Su Manni was dumbfounded. As expected of a top strear from the Seafood Platform, that emotional intelligence…

A wide path indeed!

Su Manni had actually wanted to shield Lin Baici from the water gun herself, but just as that thought surfaced in her mind, Big Sweet Sister had already done it.

It’s true what they say: opportunities wait for no one.

Tang Keke and Zhao Qing, wide-eyed, just stood there without a clue.

“Cut it out, okay? How about giving a chance to serve Brother Lin?”

Su Manni really wanted to kick Big Sweet Sister away and take her place.

“Stop talking nonsense and dry yourselves off quickly. Follow !”

The female nurse put down the water gun.

Lin Baici grabbed a towel, dried himself off, and threw it to Su Manni.

The six of them, like prisoners in a jail, followed the female nurse down half the corridor into a hospital room.

Room 1809!

A six-bed room with three beds on each side.

The beds had bedding and patient gowns with blue stripes. There were curtains between the beds for privacy.

“No ssing around or shouting, no leaving the room without permission. If you need sothing, press the call button by the bed, and the nurses at the station will co.”

After giving her instructions, the female nurse turned and left.

Su Manni darted to the door, peeked outside, quickly closed it, and looked at Lin Baici: “Brother Lin, what do we do next?”

Zhao Qing imdiately ran to the window, opened it, and a gust of cold wind blew in, making her shiver as she leaned out to look down.

There weren’t any tall buildings nearby. Escaping from here was unrealistic; falling would an instant death.

From the direction of the nurse’s station, gut-wrenching screams echoed intermittently.

Who knew which unlucky soul was being electrocuted this ti?

“No idea.”

Lin Baici, not an exhibitionist, picked up a patient gown. After examining it and confirming it was clean and stain-free, he put it on.

It was a bit snug, with the pant legs ending above his ankles.

In a single leap, Su Manni landed on the bed next to Lin Baici: “I’m taking this one!”

Big Sweet Sister and Su Manni tried to fight for it but were a step too slow. When they turned to grab another bed, Zheng Yu Huang had already claid it.

“Big Cousin, why don’t you sleep in the middle?”

Big Sweet Sister suggested it so there could be soone on both sides of Lin Baici.

Everyone believed being close to Lin Baici was the safest option.

“It’s all the sa!”

Lin Baici opened the cabinet by his bedside—empty. Then, he lifted the bedding to check underneath.

Zhao Qing put on a patient gown but soon noticed that Su Manni, Big Sweet Sister, and the others had no intention of wearing theirs. They were just in their underwear, gathered around Lin Baici, talking.

“Damn, what a bunch of two-faced bitches!”

Zhao Qing muttered and then discreetly removed her gown as well.

Clearly, these won were flaunting themselves, trying to show off their appeal.

After all, aside from their looks, they had no other bargaining chips to win Lin Baici over.

Sigh!

Even with their bodies, he probably wouldn’t stick around for them.

Zhao Qing sulked. How did she end up mixed up in this ss?

“Ah!”

Another blood-curdling scream ca from the nurse’s station, causing the girls to turn pale.

“It’s probably another electrocution, right?”

Su Manni speculated. Turning a blood pressure monitor into a torture device—it was absurd.

Lin Baici squatted down and scanned the room.

This hospital room even had a small bathroom. Lin Baici went inside to check—it was tiny, just a toilet, a washbasin, and a showerhead.

In the mirror, Lin Baici, wearing the patient gown, exuded a strange kind of handsoness.

“There’s a mop and a rag here. Let’s clean the room!”

Lin Baici stepped out with the mop and handed it to Zhao Qing: “Make sure it’s spotless!”

“Okay!”

Zhao Qing didn’t want to do it, but she didn’t dare refuse.

The cleaning began.

“Straighten the bedding too!”

Lin Baici finished making his bed, even folding the blanket into a perfect square.

He had learned how to do it during his college military training.

[Fill out the bedside card, select Level 3 for care!]

Lin Baici turned his head.

Above the bedside, there was a blue plastic strip as wide as a palm, with a plug socket and an oxygen outlet. Above it was a bedside card.

It was supposed to hold basic patient information, like na, gender, allergy history, attending doctor, and assigned nurse.

Below that were categories for levels of care.

For patients who were severely ill or unable to care for themselves, they required Level 1 care—of course, at a higher cost.

Lin Baici couldn’t find a pen to fill it out.

Knock, knock! Knock, knock!

Soone knocked on the door. Before Zheng Yu Huang could answer, Batugel pushed the door open and entered.

“Brother Lin, what’s the plan from here?”

Batugel looked worried: “We can’t just sit here and wait to die, right?”

Batugel’s face was pale. Though he avoided getting shocked by sweet-talking the nurse, as Lin Baici had suggested, he had still lost quite a bit of blood.

Buddha Smiler and Small Horse Journey followed him in.

Everyone waited for Lin Baici to make a decision.

“There’s a lot of undead out there; we can’t manage that. But these nurses should be killable, right?”

Small Horse Journey wore a sinister expression.

“Didn’t you see how that female nurse beat up Elder Zhou? With your scrawny build, you’re useless!”

Batugel sneered.

“So we need weapons. Surgery scalpels or maybe so poison—sothing lethal we can spike the nurses’ water with!”

Small Horse Journey suggested.

[Don’t act rashly. Wait until the head nurse finishes her rounds!]

“Everyone, just do what you want for now!”

Lin Baici rested his head on his hands and lay down on the bed.

“Brother Lin, ti waits for no one!”
