At this mont, Dragon Tail Island, under the gaze of three demigods, seed bustling with activity. Yet, for most living creatures, this busyness felt more like an unavoidable natural disaster, filled with destruction everywhere.
Above the sky, each attack from the World Tree landed on the ground, causing intense tremors that made one’s heart shake.
Even from a distance, the terrifying impact made the Cardinal carrying Tangze Asuka, Hooked Kiss, and those who had first escaped from the Ideal Country, begin to shake violently.
Unlike Fisher and Helair fleeing northward, under Michael’s suggestion, they started escaping towards the nearer ocean direction and would later circle around the ocean to land on Dragon Continent from another direction.
This was not without reason, for the Archangel Michael had already discovered the sleeping Dragon God Fermat Baha at the northern end of Dragon Tail Island. Judging by the World Tree’s full assault, the awakening of the Dragon God was inevitable.
To flee northward and avoid the aftershocks of the demigods’ attacks as much as possible, the Cardinal would have to operate at maximum capacity. This model of Cardinal was hastily cobbled together in half an hour, even with Michael’s involvent in crafting it, its performance was quite limited, likely lacking the energy to run for long.
Escaping towards the ocean could avoid issues related to the Dragon God, and even if one fell into the sea, survival was possible, especially considering those aboard were not of Fisher’s Mythical Rank.
"Buzz buzz buzz!"
But despite the plan, unforeseen changes occurred.
Mikhail and Tangze Asuka were at the forefront, yet simultaneously, they were carrying a number of living creatures from the Ideal Country who had not been claid by the Death Threads. These creatures lacked any awareness, entirely at the rcy of others.
When the first light orb unleashed its destructive force, followed by a dazzling white light, many Cardinals carrying passengers were propelled into the air by the impact.
Cardinals closer to the light orb, and the unconscious passengers aboard, were directly pulverized into mince in their dreams, scattered in the ocean with splattering sounds.
Hooked Kiss watched helplessly as nurous Cardinals around him lost control and fell due to the impact. As a doctor, the instinct to save lives made him turn his head and subconsciously reach into his pocket to retrieve his Fluid Sword to rescue them.
But worse than Fisher’s already limp Fluid Sword, his original Fluid Sword was simply gone.
He had forgotten, his blade had vanished.
After a mont of stiff pause, Hooked Kiss patted the Cardinal beneath him and shouted to Mikhail behind him,
"Mikhail, didn’t David ntion so overload mode before? Can we activate it? I’m going down to rescue them!"
"Hooked Kiss! The overload mode won’t fly very far!"
"Did you forget I’m an Ocean Subhuman? Falling into the sea is like going ho, hurry up! You go on ahead, I’ll pull them up and catch up!"
Mikhail nodded helplessly, then turned to David beneath him and said,
"David, I grant you the authority to autonomously activate the overload mode. When you judge that the Cardinal needs overload mode, you can activate it yourself."
"No problem, Administrator. This option can significantly increase the Cardinal’s load and power. David will use it appropriately."
Both Mikhail and Tangze Asuka were of human fra, reliant on the Cardinals to escape, and rescuing others was a hassle.
Hooked Kiss, with Fourteenth Rank, had a body strength far superior to them, and his status as an Ocean Subhuman provided a fallback. Mikhail could only offer him help on the Cardinal level.
Thus, with a distant glance between Hooked Kiss and Mikhail, they temporarily parted ways mid-air, the two fleeing forward while Hooked Kiss returned to rescue those who were falling.
Behind him, many unconscious people were thrown from the Cardinals by the trendous impact, and Hooked Kiss couldn’t let their Cardinals operate in overload mode; otherwise, even if rescued, they wouldn’t fly far.
The solution was for Hooked Kiss to use the overloaded Cardinal to retrieve them back to their respective Cardinals.
"David, don’t activate the overload mode on any Cardinal but mine. Once I’ve returned those demi-humans, take them and leave imdiately."
"Sir, please don’t instruct David on operations."
Hooked Kiss chuckled helplessly, then crouched on the Cardinal beneath him, bracing against the strong winds towards the countless figures in the air.
One, two, three...
In reality, the number still descending wasn’t many, so were directly shattered by the impact, yet this small number brought significant difficulty to Hooked Kiss.
With each person he threw back onto Cardinals, he drew closer to the ground.
"Just one left, David!"
"Beep beep beep, monitoring distance is fifty ters... but I have bad news, would you like to hear it?"
Rapidly descending, Hooked Kiss was slightly stunned, looking incredulously at the Cardinal beneath his feet, questioning,
"You wouldn’t... be out of energy, would you?"
"Beep beep beep, hey, guess what, you guessed it! But unfortunately, there’s no reward. It’s been nice knowing you, sir; David looks forward to serving you again next ti, goodbye."
