226: 96.
The waves 226: 96.
The waves In the silent swimming hall at night, Lingna lay on the back of the giant crab, Haru, floating in the pool, looking through the glass at the night sky outside.
The clouds outside were thick and gloomy, with only a ray of moonlight piercing through the barrier and falling to the ground.
Gazing at that bright moonlight, Lingna asked,
“Mother, can Daddy co back?”
“We should trust Lord Royal and Mr.
Fisher, trust in Lord Ramasitia’s guidance…”
Although Bai Mu had been trying her best to comfort her child, the sensitive Lingna still acutely sensed the uncertainty in her mother’s words.
Her eyes reddened slightly as she stared nonstop at the pool water beneath her.
anwhile, it was Haru who noticed his little master’s unease and blew so bubbles to comfort her.
“Gurgle gurgle~”
“Thank you, Haru…
I also believe they will definitely succeed.”
Haru hung his head and did not “speak” again, but Lingna noticed that the bubbles beneath Haru did not stop; rather, they beca more and more nurous and frantic.
She sat up in a panic, and the next second, a huge column of water rose abruptly in the pool, setting Fisher, Moli, and Ling Jiu upon the shore next to the pool.
“Daddy!”
Seeing the unconscious Ling Jiu being returned, Lingna and Bai Mu both ran excitedly to his side.
Moli held her chest, continuously gasping for breath, with her body gradually returning to human form under Ramasitia’s blessing.
And Fisher leaned against the wall, observing their family reunion while resting and recalling the gestures Anna had made when they had contact on Snake Head Street.
How had she recognized him?
He had not revealed his appearance and had deliberately lowered his voice to conceal his own, yet she still identified him as Fisher—could it be by scent?
Since he had just been cleansed by Ramasiti, the usual scents should have diminished quite a bit; if she could still detect him by that scent, then was it possible that using perfu to cover up when he went with Trandell to the Pink Hall was of no use?
As Fisher pondered, the water by the pool gradually transford into a Water Snake made of swirling currents, lowering its head to look at Moli on the shore.
“….”
The water currents swirled softly.
Moli, too, looked up at Ramasitia.
Although Fisher heard nothing, Moli pursed her lips and nodded repeatedly, while Bai Mu and the others appeared confused, clearly unable to hear anything.
Only the Whale-man Species could hear Lord Ramasitia’s voice; other living creatures could only judge His thoughts through the bubbles that appeared when He manifested.
After a while, Moli showed a sowhat sorrowful expression, then bowed her head and made a devout prayer gesture, paying a small tribute to that current and said,
“I understand, Lord Ramasitia.
I will take good care of myself during this ti…”
The Water Snake then raised its body slightly, nodding, before its head twisted slightly to look at Fisher seated beside it.
It clearly had no facial features, yet the current seed to contain the faces of countless living creatures, as if thousands of eyes were watching him simultaneously, causing Fisher’s hair to stand on end.
Its movents were unclear in aning, unaggressive, yet carried an indistinct significance.
Fisher did not understand, but in the next mont, It dissolved into ordinary water and disappeared on the spot.
Moli pouted, then stood up and looked at Fisher with an overly pitiful gaze, like soone who had been hurt,
“…What did He say?”
Fisher smiled and asked.
After cleaning the dirt from her face from the fight, Moli walked to the edge of the pool, rinsed with water, and said,
“…The Full Moon Period is approaching.
Lord Ramasitia will leave for a while, and afterward, we can’t call upon Him at any ti.
Just now, He told to take good care of myself…”
“What is the Full Moon Period?”
“Oh, it’s like…
a ritual that our Whale-man Species conducts every so often.
During the Full Moon Period, all the Whale-n in the sea have to enter the depths of the Sea Trench, in front of Lord Ramasitia’s temple.
I also went there once as a child, and that’s when I saw Lord Ramasitia’s temple.”
“But I don’t know what everyone does during the Full Moon Period.
My mother might know, but she never tells .
Anyway, during the Full Moon Period, Lord Ramasitia will not co out to see us from His true body, and we can’t hear His voice.
It will be quite so ti before He cos back.”
After hearing this, Fisher beca more suspicious that the Whale-man Species dwelling in the Sea Trench definitely had a purpose, for their actions must align with Ramasitia’s, otherwise He would not be so kind to Moli and her mother.
“So that’s how it is.”
Fisher did not ask further, rely making a ntal note of the information and deciding to explore the specifics later, after gaining more clues.
He currently had a plethora of unresolved matters at hand.
After wiping her face, Moli turned to Bai Mu and Lingna and said,
“You can’t stay on the shore any longer.
Now that soone has discovered your whereabouts, it’s too dangerous to continue staying.
You’ve already sent many things.
Let complete the tasks alone from here on.”
