Chapter 592: 81. Slender Figure_3

Fisher gasped for air, enduring the itch and pain on his body as he directed the Erasure Light in his hands towards the curse that was pouncing on him.

“Boom!”

A black light, too dark to look at directly, blossod in Fisher’s palm and shot forward in an instant, the straight beam of darkness acted like a “world eraser”, dissolving everything in its path – the Air, the snow, the curse, even the clouds above vanished in a mont.

The sudden vacuum in the large swathes of space caused a fierce bursting sound. Fisher had never seen Erasure Light with such trendous power. The intense pressure arrived in an instant, compressing the whole world and stirring up a mountain-high wind and snowstorm.

“Boom! Boom!”

The spectacular scene spread far and wide, and to outsiders, it seed as terrifying as the coming of a legendary Frost Phoenix. The mbers of the Turand Family who worshipped the Frost Phoenix and were fleeing heard the commotion behind them and knelt in disarray, staring dumbfounded at the snow in the sky that slowly dispersed and then cald.

“God… it’s God…”

But the only ones to witness everything on the scene were Fisher and Helldor, who by now was senseless behind him.

The Sealing Cage in the center of the ancestral hall opened suddenly. The loud noise from outside was evidently heard by Valentina inside, her typically calm deanor vanished without a trace, and she sat in her wheelchair anxiously, rubbing the ring on her finger.

After hearing the noise outside, she could no longer bear the persuasion of those beside her and opened the Sealing Cage, venturing into the cold hall.

“Helldor!”

Inside the Moon Rabbit Clan Ancestral Hall, under the cool Moonlight, the upper stones continuously fell due to the magic Fisher had just released, turning the exquisitely constructed hall into a ruin. Valentina called out loudly into the wind and snow outside but received no response.

She recklessly pushed the joystick on her wheelchair, disregarding Philis and Balzac’s protests as she made her way outside.

“Miss Valentina, the curse might still be there; it’s better to stay inside the Sealing Cage to ensure safety.”

“Yes, boss, if sothing happens to you…”

“Shut up…”

Valentina pushed her wheelchair slowly outside, where the tents and belongings set up by the Turand Family were all buried under fresh snow. She squinted her eyes against the flying snow, as if she saw a sitting figure in front of her.

She and her companions moved closer, finally seeing clearly: it was the thinly-dressed Fisher Benavides. Now he was down to the white shirt he had worn on arrival, quietly sitting in the snow, silently turning to glance at the people behind him, saying nothing.

“Wait, you’re here, does it an the curse is resolved? Then, where is Helldor?”

Balzac asked incredulously. As soon as the question left his mouth, Philis gently kicked him to silence. In front, Valentina sat motionless in her wheelchair, while Ilois behind her unwittingly covered her mouth with her hand.

Next to Fisher lay a chanical body whose glow had completely faded in the snow, his thick robe that Fisher had worn thrown over it. In the open palm of his chanical hand, a copper necklace that had completely lost its magical glow lay quietly.

“Error… Data lost, connection failed… Error… Data lost, connection failed… Error…”

“Hel…dor?”

Balzac spoke with disbelief, struggling to accept what was happening.

Fisher glanced back at the people behind him, then silently stood up and walked towards Valentina, calmly saying to her,

“Mourn your loss, Miss Valentina.”

“…”

Valentina lowered her head, her hands clutching her skirt, her white hair falling down, obscuring her expression.

The winds and snows of the Northern Realm rose again, as Fisher’s figure gradually walked away into the distance, becoming invisible. Valentina’s subordinates stood sowhat at a loss behind her. Even Philis, normally simple-minded of the Lion-man Species, felt sothing off.

She looked at Valentina’s forlorn and fragile silhouette sitting before the wheelchair, unable to say a word, until Balzac patted her shoulder and gave her a look, prompting her to gratefully leave her spot.
