Fisher had just raised his Fluid Sword when he saw Erwin transform into a destructive bolt of lightning in the blink of an eye, hurling himself toward the wall behind him.

But now, you see, you have the distinct aura of having read two Completion Manuals yet still remain sane. This alone proves that the Magic Minister has deceived us all.”
“You don’t have an absolute certainty in defeating , whose Rank is higher than yours, using that polluted curse. Conversely, I also can’t be sure I can avoid the Death Rune given to you by the Demon, right?”
Fisher calmly touched an object shaped like a short dagger in his chest pocket. The two n stood confronting each other in the corridor until Erwin turned his head to look at the twisted base housed in the throne room by the sword of the Phoenix King; then, he suddenly said,
“Well then, let’s both stake our bets on this curse. I can sense that its Rank is above the Mythical, and yet it’s incomplete. Let guess, it’s the reason for the Phoenixes’ extinction. Now, it must be looking for the last missing Phoenix Bloodline to make itself whole, and you just brought the Phoenix Bloodline here…”
Erwin was not only extrely intelligent, but he had also possessed the Completion Manual for a long ti, far surpassing the less than thirty-year-old Fisher in experience with many things in this world. “That Phoenix Bloodline is sothing the curse desires, and I, too, am sowhat interested in this leverage of yours. It appears that for now, the curse’s goal aligns with mine… However, if you use a Death Rune to kill that curse, I will give up pursuing the Phoenix Bloodline and fighting you. After your death, I shall even ensure her safe departure from the Wutong Tree. What do you think?”
Fisher sneered, lifting his Fluid Sword and the glowing Magic ring, and asked,
“Why don’t I just hand over the Soul Completion Manual and another manual directly to you, and then you let us both go?”

But while Erwin was speaking, he noticed sothing off. Erwin clapped his hands appreciatively,

“Give it a try.”
As Fisher rushed towards Erwin, wary of whether Fisher might draw a Death Rune to strike him, he suddenly threw a Thunder Magic spell behind him and decisively ran past Erwin’s attack range towards the outside.
“Howl!”

It charged down the narrow corridor, easily breaking the undamaged black mineral that had withstood the earlier battle between Erwin and Fisher. As it moved, flesh and feathers that seed to have a life of their own sprouted, sketching the Trace of its path.
“Howl!”
Its dense, nurous eyes twisted irregularly, looking in all different directions, yet it could never determine a clear path forward. Foolishly quivering its fleshy wings, it generated a windstorm akin to a tornado spreading in all directions, attempting to retrieve so missing elent.
“At last… the final Phoenix… Howl!”
