"Um... where is she taking us? Did she just say we committed so cri?"
Hooked Kiss turned his head and kindly explained to her,
"Just think of it as us intruding on a group of very powerful beings’ lair. Except unlike Fisher and who ca here intentionally, you stumbled here by accident, but they don’t care whether it was intentional or not."
This made Tangze Asuka so frightened that she imdiately clasped her hands together and started muttering words Fisher couldn’t quite comprehend,
"Then... then what should we do... will we die? I don’t want to die yet... Namo Amitabha Buddha... Namo Amitabha Buddha..."
Fisher placed down the fruit he had just finished eating, glanced at Tangze Asuka beside him, and then stood up,
"You won’t die."
"Huh?"
Tangze Asuka stared blankly at Fisher’s back, asking,
"How... how do you know?"
"...I just know."
If you were to die now, the Cardinal of Destiny wouldn’t send to find you in the future.
Fisher thought to himself.
As for Tangze Asuka, she was taken aback by Fisher’s non-answer, having already been crying earlier, and now feeling even more at a loss.
"Hurry up, are you done?"
But Fisher’s voice ca again, and she looked up to see that both Hooked Kiss and Fisher had already reached the gate of the cage. Just yesterday, she had thought of them as demons, but now seeing them leave, Tangze Asuka was suddenly scared and struggled to stand up, running toward Fisher and the others,
"O-okay, sorry."
She silently followed behind Fisher, perhaps because she felt that since Fisher was also a human, he was sohow better than Hooked Kiss with his whale ears and tail.
And so they exited the cage, outside was a suspended white path. This seed to be the edge of the Third Day, so apart from the angel in front of them, Fisher saw no other angels.
Everything was quiet, and as soon as they stepped out of the cage, it was as though they lost their weight and began to float, but upon stepping on the white stone slabs, it was as if they were securely anchored, no longer floating aimlessly.
"Everyone, mind your step, follow ."
"..."
The beautiful angel ahead spoke, and after a mont of hesitation, Fisher decided to honestly follow her, walking along the path towards the center of the Third Day.
They passed by many elegantly designed structures of unknown purpose, on which sat many angels with ethereal wings, differing headdresses, and distinct appearances. Their expressions varied as well, but one characteristic was common: from a distance, they all seed to possess an androgynous beauty that made it difficult to discern their specific gender.
At this mont, they silently stared down at Fisher and his group, as Helair ahead openly waved at them, prompting many angels to nod or wave back politely. This made Fisher instinctively focus on the beautiful female angel who was quite distinct from the others.
She wore a heavy robe, so Fisher couldn’t see her exact body shape; she was only shorter than him in stature. After contemplating briefly, just as he was about to ask about the angel’s background, she spoke without turning her head,
"Helair... ’Morning Star’ Helair, that’s what they call , responsible for so minor affairs of the Seventh Layer Heavens as a Powerful Angel."
Behind, Tangze Asuka blinked but said nothing, maintaining her silence.
"Fisher Benavides."
"Oh, such a strong human is a rare sight, quite impressive, quite impressive..."
"...May I ask, is the book that was with and can speak still safe? This is important to ."
"Oh, him... don’t worry, you’ll know soon. He is indeed very important, rember that."
"..."
Fisher stared at her back, pondering for a second or two, unable to grasp the aning behind her words, yet he didn’t press further. For at that mont, they had arrived at the peculiar passageway linking the layers of the Holy Land, which Fisher had seen in the Sealing Cage previously. Helair paused montarily at the passageway and said to Fisher and the others,
"Please jump in here, don’t worry, you won’t fall."
Not saying was better; as soon as she spoke, Tangze Asuka instinctively peeked into the passageway, only to find a vast planet visible to the end below the cylindrical passage. Her phobia of heights imdiately kicked in, nearly causing her legs to give way and sit on the ground.
"Do we... really have to jump? Re-really?"
"Really."
Tangze Asuka’s lips trembled, she glanced back at Hooked Kiss and Fisher; Hooked Kiss shook his head and took a light leap into the cylindrical passageway, floating within it. But before he could turn around to speak to Tangze Asuka, he was swiftly engulfed by a light and surged upward.
"Ahhhhh!"
Tangze Asuka watched as Hooked Kiss’s figure was pulled up like an afterimage, feeling as though his presence was all around, which scared her even more into not moving, causing her to sit down on the ground.
"So... so frightening..."
