Adrian watched this woman vigilantly, while she felt weak for a level 4 she was still a level 4 Espara.

" Oh where are my manners, my na is Chang’e, it’s a pleasure to et you young king of wolves."

She bowed gracefully, Adrian didn’t let himself get fooled by her graceful nature and gentle temperant.

She was an agent and every single one of them were trained to kill Fayera. " Chang’e? I’m not very versed in the language of the eastern lands but isn’t that a Goddess’s na.

Don’t you think it’s a bit arrogant of you to call yourself by that na?" His question just made her giggle.

" To think the king of wolves doesn’t see as a goddess, I’m very hurt." She pretended to be saddened.

" On serious business wolf king, I would appreciate if you let those two go, they are still mbers of my organisation after all."

Adrian thought about it and he wasn’t an enemy with the organisation, at least not yet and he didn’t plan to be one.

So he relented but first he needed a question answered. " I need you to tell why you were spying on us."

" It’s our duty to maintain order in the human world and frankly, you are a walking disaster, a magnet of chaos.

It’s only natural that we would we pay extra attention to you don’t you think?" He didn’t argue with that.

He would’ve loved to compel these two agents to forget what they saw but unfortunately they had mindvein in their systems.

He let them go and without saying goodbye flew off. Chang’e watched him go with a soft smile.

" So, did you confirm your suspicions little Wolf?" She asked but Wolf shook his head with disappointnt.

" Forgive my lady but I could not, perhaps I had been wrong and he was just a normal human before."

Chang’e didn’t say anything but she knew more about Adrian’s parents than these two young agents did.

Wolf had reported that he suspected Adrian to have been an Espara before. Which is why he ignored him when they first t.

He had recognised Adrian back then but his artefact told him he was a Fayera which is why it didn’t click to him at first.

It was only when ggie tried to escape that it suddenly clicked but even then he was still confused.

After all everybody knew that it was impossible for an Espara to be turned into a Fayera.

However what surprised both he and Vestro the most was his power. When they first t he could barely match them.

Now he was significantly stronger than both combined. Even though they’ve both also reached level 2.

" It is fine, let go back." Chang’e led them back to the organisation.

-------------------------------

Adrian flew over to Sanchez’s house. He found her in the kitchen cooking.

" How are you doing?" He asked, he had been a bit worried about her. Sanchez shrugged.

" I’m fine, I did almost die in that case you know? there were more than one of those things and the iron bullets couldn’t kill them."

Adrian nodded, " Iron bullets alone cannot kill spirits but they can wound them, the sa goes for salt.

But that isn’t what I’m asking, have those blood suckers given you any trouble lately?"

She nodded, " A little bit, they did surround my house but they couldn’t break through the barrier outside.

I did as you told and requested aid from the organisation and they offered to protect ."

He nodded, " That is to be expected expected, you’re a human, a normal human at that, if they refused to protect you from vampires, they would be condemned by other Espara.

Did your relationship with not cause you any problems with them?"

" It did to an extent but I just told them you forced to work for you and they left it at that.

They did try to take Fluffy though but I wouldn’t let that happen and they couldn’t take her by force."

He nodded and stood up, " You did well, I will be leaving now detective Rosa Sanchez, I hope we et again soday."

Sanchez finally turned from her stove and looked at him. Adrian saw sothing he didn’t expect from her.

Sadness. " Why do you look sad detective, I thought you would be glad I’m no longer in your hair?"

She giggled, " Yeah, so did I but I guess I got used to you, You did after all change my life and showed such a wonderful world, I will miss you Adrian Lunar"

She smiled softly and Adrian smiled back. " Only you would think such a world is wonderful.

Till we et again detective." He walked towards the door.

" Don’t forget, I’m not immortal like you, I might be a bag of bones by the ti you decide to pay a visit, so don’t take too long."

He didn’t respond and walked out, he flew back to Annie’s house but as soon as he got close he froze.

He teleported and appeared next to her bed. Annie was sweating like crazy. Golden light shined on her forehead.

" No no Adrian please no, don’t leave, don’t make forget." She muttered in her sleep while twisting around.

Adrian used telepathy to enter her mind and all he saw were golden strings pulling out her mories.

’ It’s trying to make her rember everything.’ he gritted his teeth in rage. ’ I can’t let this happen.’

If Annie learnt of the supernatural world, things wouldn’t go too well for him. Knowing her she might want to get involved.

But Adrian genuinely believed her life was better as it was, while he couldn’t say it was safe, it was safer than the alternative.

He tried to cut those strings with his telepathy since were both were ntal type energies.

But he felt Ike he was trying to cut a tal chain with a paper straw, he wasn’t doing anything at all.

’ Damnit damnit damnit, damn that leprechaun, if I ever get my hands on you.’ Annie’s cries grew louder.

Adrian heard her parents waking up and rushing towards her room. He teleported to the roof and watched through lunar realm.

" Annie sweetie, are you okay?" Her mother tried to wake her up with a worried look.

" Anele, wake up!" Her father shouted and shook her roughly but Annie wasn’t stepping out of it.

" ADRIAN!" She shouted and jumped up straight, it was then that she noticed her family next to her.

She broke down in tears and her parents hugged her tightly. Adrian closed his eyes and sighed.

He understood, he could no longer protect her from this.
