At this mont, Angelo was cautiously maneuvering the Slaughterer forward.
Soon, a crossroads appeared ahead.
"Continue forward."
Without a hint of hesitation, Angelo addressed the group.
"Did you go through the structure of the old lab?"
Su Mo asked curiously.
"That’s right, I’ll share it with you."
Angelo straightforwardly shared the top-secret information with Su Mo.
Soon, the ultra-complicated underground laboratory map appeared, with a black cross mark at the deepest point, which should be the ultimate destination of this exploration.
Su Mo was a bit amazed at the structure map. This lab was exceptionally large; without a map, searching would truly be a life-threatening endeavor.
But having a map wasn’t unusual since the old Prison Director wasn’t dead yet.
"According to the map, as long as we pass a circular resting hall and a storage room... we can reach the depths of the lab. The distance is still manageable."
Angelo explained as he controlled the cha moving forward.
"It’s not that simple. Due to the big explosion, so passages might have been destroyed. We might have to detour."
Su Mo carefully studied and spoke up.
"Makes sense."
Angelo nodded in agreent.
Sure enough, after Angelo hadn’t walked far, the entire passage collapsed and was blocked.
"Damn it."
Angelo frowned tightly, his temper boiling over the fact that what he worried about actually happened.
"Relax, it’s no big deal. We’ll take a detour."
Su Mo seed quite composed, noting that the internal pathways of this lab were intricate, and if one path was blocked, there were alternatives.
Angelo took a deep breath and led the subordinates forward.
As soon as they turned back a few steps, pairs of scarlet eyes lit up in the distance, followed by synthetic beasts, over ten ters tall, covered with pustules, a humanoid head embedded in the chest, and alien tactile blades protruding from both shoulders.
The head on the chest opened its mouth, emitting strange distorted sounds.
"Beep, ah..."
Su Mo was sowhat perplexed by the purpose of producing so many synthetic beasts in this lab. In his view, these beasts’ combat power and utility were of little value.
Just then, these synthetic beasts charged crazily.
The present prison soldiers showed no fear and rushed forward wielding their super alloy blades.
One by one, the synthetic beasts were chopped in half, corrosive poisonous liquid flowed on the ground, continuously emitting toxic smoke.
The entire process was easily resolved.
Just as everyone took a breath of relief, suddenly the ground writhed.
Before they could react, a monster with a human face, resembling a centipede, its body streaming with dark red tallic fluid, burst from the tallic ground, opening its large bloody mouth and biting the chest of a Night Guard cha, its sharp fangs penetrating the cockpit.
"Ah!"
A scream resounded.
"Damn it!"
Other surrounding prison soldiers swung their super alloy blades onto the monster.
The monster’s body was instantly cut open with grooves, but no fluid leaked, as if slicing through jelly.
The attack had no effect at all.
"Move aside!"
Angelo shouted furiously.
The soldiers swiftly maneuvered their chas to disperse.
Angelo sped forward, controlling the Slaughterer, slashing swiftly!
Instantly, the entire monster was sliced from the head down the body in two, but unfortunately, the lower half of the monster had not fully erged from the tallic ground, so Angelo couldn’t cut it completely.
The severed monster, seemingly in pain, seeped back into the tallic ground and escaped.
Angelo imdiately roared in anger, "Bastard."
Su Mo’s lips twitched involuntarily, "That should be a silicon base form synthetic beast, able to infiltrate most tals, hard to kill! Whose forbidden experint was this? It’s too incredible!"
"Who else but those lunatics? Testing to see which forms of life could perfectly withstand negative energy pollution, they’d stop at nothing."
In a fury state, Angelo revealed the truth.
"Cough, cough, calm down, let’s continue exploring and leave here as soon as possible. It’s too dangerous here; that monster earlier was almost a peak IV-type. If we get attacked a few more tis, you might be fine, but others will suffer."
Angelo gradually cald down and said to the subordinates, "Everyone, follow ."
"Yes!"
The present subordinates replied with lingering fears.
So, they continued exploring.
As ti slowly passed, Angelo and his group delved deeper. After detouring for quite a while,
they suddenly found a heap of destroyed Night Guard chas ahead.
"Those are our n!"
The present prison soldiers exclaid in shock.
"Go check it out!"
Angelo hurriedly maneuvered the cha forward for inspection.
Upon closer inspection, everyone jumped back in fright; these Night Guard chas had all been brutally torn apart.
"What kind of monster did this?"
"Not sure, but if it can easily tear apart Night Guard chas, it’s definitely above V-type."
Angelo addressed the group.
Su Mo observed the shredded remains of the Night Guards and said to Angelo, after pondering, "It’s a V-type heroic level or above monster."
"Brother, are you sure? This isn’t sothing to joke about?"
Angelo’s heart jumped.
"I’m not joking. I once killed a V-type heroic level alien, and it was less destructive to Night Guard chas than this. Plus, just look at their armor; wherever it was touched, there’s a smooth indentation, showing how sharp its claws are, like squeezing clay."
Su Mo confidently stated.
Angelo’s face twitched violently, unsure what to say, feeling a bitter taste in his mouth.
"Should we retreat first?"
Su Mo hesitated to ask.
"No way! We can’t back down, let’s explore deeper."
Angelo shook his head. If he went back now, how would he face Prison Director Fezack? Say he was scared back?
"Alright then."
Su Mo didn’t say much.
...
At the entrance of the Sky Pit, Fezack paced back and forth, operating the V-type Biological cha, Prison Suppressing Apostle, and said irritably,
"How long has Angelo been down there?"
"Over two hours, I think."
"What’s taking so long?"
Fezack said with a bit of unease.
"No need to worry, Prison Director, Angelo’s combat ability is well-known. Even if faced with so danger that can’t be handled, he should be able to escape. Let’s be patient a bit longer; maybe there’ll be good news soon."
The surrounding subordinates comforted him one after another.
Fezack, upon hearing this, gradually cald his restless heart.
He looked around out of sheer boredom and suddenly felt sothing was missing. He pondered for a mont and asked his subordinate with a puzzled face.
"I rember Su Mo seed to have co along too. Where is he?"
