Capítulo 1241: Chapter 940: Surprise

“Su Mo? Are you talking about the person Lord Angelo brought?”

The subordinate beside him hesitated for a mont and asked.

“That’s right, that guy. Where is he? Where did he run off to?”

Fezack replied with certainty.

The many subordinates present exchanged glances, and at this mont, one subordinate spoke up, “I think I saw him enter Lord Angelo’s cabin, and it seems Lord Angelo took him down.”

“What!! Say that again!”

Upon hearing his subordinate’s words, Fezack sprang up, roaring in anger.

“Uh, Lord Angelo took the person down.”

The subordinate present replied, trembling.

Fezack imdiately cursed in rage, “That idiot Angelo, his bad habits are at it again, actually took the person down. Everyone, listen to my order, let’s go down together!”

“Huh? Yes, Prison Director.”

The crowd was stunned for a mont, then quickly responded.

At that mont, the AI-controlled Waveguide Ball floated in front of Fezack.

“The reconnaissance team hasn’t returned yet, going down recklessly like this is very dangerous and unwise.”

“To hell with wise or not, that idiot Angelo took Su Mo down. I’m going down personally now to bring him back.”

Fezack shouted furiously.

“This is a foolish move!”

The AI prisoner continued to warn.

“To hell with what kind of move, I’m taking people down now, anyone dare to stop ?”

Fezack was completely enraged.

In his view, so what if the ruins developnt failed?

Worst case, they can slowly develop it again later.

If sothing happened to Su Mo and he died here, he would be dood.

By then, who would bear the consequences for the fall of Kedora Planet Fortress? You must know, even if the Endless Deep Space Prison exploded, it wouldn’t be as serious as the fall of Kedora Planet Fortress.

“Suit yourself.”

The AI prisoner saw how insistent Fezack was and no longer obstructed, thinking this too was a viable option.

Moreover, the AI prisoner suddenly realized that Su Mo was indeed Fezack’s Achilles’ heel.

“Everyone, follow down!”

Fezack stopped wasting words, taking the lead with the V-Type Biological cha: Prison Suppressing Apostle, jumping into the Sky Pit.

Underground experintal area.

Angelo, controlling the cha with a group of subordinates, cautiously ventured deeper.

They were already quite deep, not far from the core laboratory.

They encountered multiple attacks from synthetic beasts along the way, but fortunately, Angelo was there. He cleanly and efficiently killed all the attacking monsters.

Right then, in a dark corner at a distance, a pair of scarlet eyes were staring intently at Angelo and his group.

Su Mo instinctively turned his head to look at the holographic image on the rear left, but he saw nothing.

As they delved deeper, the pathways they moved through beca increasingly spacious, reaching widths of five to six hundred ters.

“What is it?”

Angelo, noticing Su Mo’s odd behavior, asked.

“It’s nothing, I just have a inexplicable panic in my heart, like I’m being watched by sothing.”

Su Mo replied, feeling unsure.

After hearing Su Mo’s words, Angelo paused slightly, then commanded his cha to stop and scanned the surrounding area.

The accompanying subordinates, seeing Angelo halt, beca vigilant of the surroundings, but nothing peculiar happened for a long ti, let alone sighting any monsters.

“Lord Angelo, is there a monster?”

“Ahem, maybe it ran off, be careful everyone.”

Angelo coughed and answered, also feeling sowhat puzzled, wondering if Su Mo was just overly anxious.

“Yes!”

The subordinates present collectively breathed a sigh of relief.

“Let’s continue forward, we’re not far now.”

Angelo led the way forward again.

Su Mo kept silent, also uncertain if it was just his imagination.

However, shortly after Angelo and the others left, a massive figure silently erged from the corner.

It quietly watched as its prey moved further and further away.

After more than half an hour, as Angelo continued piloting the cha, he excitedly spoke to Su Mo.

“Damn it, we’re almost there!”

“Ahem, there’s no need to be that excited, is there?”

Su Mo said awkwardly.

“Bro, you don’t know, we work at developing these ruins every day. It’s not just the prisoners being tortured, we prison officers haven’t had it easy either, worrying every day.”

Angelo complained bitterly.

“That’s quite true, that AI prisoner is certainly annoying.”

Su Mo boldly vented as well, since this area wasn’t under the control of the AI prisoner.

“You just hit the nail on the head, that guy is just an artificial annoyance! It’s ridiculously rigid, doing such hard jobs, anybody would want to get so extra benefits. But with that thing around, don’t even think about it!”

Angelo was getting more and more annoyed as he spoke.

“Well said, it’s just an artificial annoyance!”

Su Mo echoed angrily.

Thus, as they continued cursing, they advanced deeper, finally arriving at the deepest part of the laboratory.

In sight was a massive open door, five hundred ters tall and eight hundred ters wide.

“Lord Angelo, we’ve arrived!”

The subordinates present said excitedly.

Angelo’s expression turned stern, cautiously speaking, “Everyone, follow closely, be careful!”

“Yes!”

Everyone responded in unison.

Then Angelo led them inwards.

Su Mo’s heart tightened with curiosity about what the forbidden laboratory of Star Ring City looked like.

Quickly, Angelo navigated the cha into the laboratory entrance.

In an instant, the view in front of them expanded.

They saw broken instrunts scattered all over, covered with a thick layer of dust. Additionally, there were many damaged biochemical jars around, with a lot of dried stains on the ground.

Upon careful inspection, one could spot several monster remains.

Further ahead was a synthetic creature operating table.

“Lord Angelo, what’s that!”

At this ti, a subordinate exclaid in shock.

Angelo and Su Mo instinctively raised their heads to look, beholding a giant biological instrunt standing deep in the laboratory, containing a hundred-ter-tall biological jar.

The jar was filled with a thick cultivation liquid.

Inside the liquid was a 50-ter-tall humanoid cha.

Strangely, this cha lacked tal armor and circuitry, instead featuring scarlet tumor-like spore structures.

Its grotesque, mutilated head had 16 terrifying, dull eyes tightly shut in the sockets.

Upon examining more closely, other biological tissues on its head were found to be constantly wriggling, differentiating, and multiplying.

Su Mo’s heart instinctively skipped a beat.

For a brief mont, the whole world seed to quiet down.

At this mont, a voice resonated in Su Mo’s ear, penetrating deep into his soul.

“Co closer.”

“I’m here.”

….

Su Mo’s pupils seed sowhat unfocused, but he soon snapped to his senses, shaking his head vigorously, breathing heavily.

“Bro, are you alright?”

Angelo asked in slight confusion.

“Don’t go near, that biological cha in the cultivation jar is very dangerous.”

Su Mo said in a low voice, feeling a bit scared himself, recognizing it was clearly a psychic contamination, and he almost fell for it.

Upon hearing Su Mo’s warning, Angelo scrutinized the biological cha thoroughly but could discern nothing alarming. He casually remarked, “What’s dangerous about it? It’s just a biological cha body that hasn’t been fully cultivated.”
