Now reading: Chapter 1501 - 1188: Old Acquaintance from Destiny Mission of game ‘Star Ring’, a Sci-fi novel by False Court.

For a mont, the people on the street scattered, and many vendors nearby smiled, ready to watch the impending drama.

It seed this sort of thing happened quite often.

Su Mo looked up, sowhat surprised to see that the person being chased was the young man who had tried to sell information to him in the restaurant.

As the crowd dispersed, the young man was inevitably caught by the group of burly n.

They imdiately kicked him to the ground, followed by a barrage of punches and kicks.

"Damn, you can run fast. If you don’t pay up, we’ll beat you to death."

...

Amidst the beating, the pocket watch around the young man’s neck fell to the ground.

The young man, braving the blows, desperately stretched out his hand toward the pocket watch.

Unfortunately, it was stepped on by the man leading the group.

"Oh, there’s a pocket watch too."

"Boss, this watch looks pretty well-made."

A subordinate beside him sneered.

The leading thug picked it up, opened the pocket watch, which contained a yellowing photo inside the cover, and nurous gems were embedded within the dial’s inner ring.

"It’s indeed nice, worth so money. Kid, consider this as interest. Get the money together soon, or you’ll be in trouble later."

"Give it back to , it’s mine."

The young man on the ground struggled and shouted, eyes red.

But it was futile; a little arm could never wrench a big leg.

"Don’t bother looking. This kind of thing happens every day."

Gris said to Su Mo.

"Wait for a mont."

Su Mo unexpectedly told Gris, then walked directly toward them.

Gris was taken aback. Was Su Mo going to intervene in this kind of thing? Although he hadn’t known Su Mo for long, from how Su Mo had dealt with him, he didn’t think Su Mo was the type to interfere out of compassion.

Just as those burly n were laughing and about to leave.

"The pocket watch."

Su Mo blocked their way and held out his hand, asking for the pocket watch.

"Looking to die!"

The leading man barely opened his mouth.

Su Mo dashed forward at a speed too fast for the bystanders to see clearly.

He punched the leader in the abdon so hard that the III generation chanical Armor he wore caved in.

"Ah!"

The thug opened his mouth wide, his eyes almost popping out, and he fell to the ground with a thud.

"Boss!"

His companions were alard and moved to act.

Su Mo turned and kicked one, then quickly uppercut another, knocking them both down.

Within just a few breaths, these burly n were all down, groaning on the ground.

Su Mo’s strikes were asured precisely.

Gris watched this scene and blinked rapidly!

Was this guy so kind of monster? How could he be so strong in solo combat?

Su Mo calmly picked up the pocket watch, opened it, unexpectedly noting the yellowing photo inside.

"Give it back to ."

The young man staggered to his feet, addressing Su Mo.

Su Mo tossed it back to him.

The young man was taken aback but instinctively caught it.

Su Mo stared at him and asked, "Who are you?"

"Why should I tell you?"

The young man looked at Su Mo warily.

Su Mo spoke in a deep voice, "What’s your connection to Tilo? Why do you have her photo?"

Upon hearing Su Mo’s words, the young man was even more shocked. He took a step back and said, "Who are you? How do you know my sister?"

"I’m her friend."

Su Mo replied in a low voice.

"I don’t believe you."

The young man was highly wary.

"I have no reason to lie to you. Your sister is in the Endless Deep Space Prison. My na is Su Mo, and I was previously imprisoned there too. You can check the Star Ring Forum if you don’t believe ."

Su Mo spoke decisively.

"Are you really my sister’s friend?"

The young man asked, still sowhat uncertain.

"Why would I lie to you? If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t have helped you. What’s your na, and are you really related to Tilo?"

"I’m Tirlek, Tilo’s younger brother."

Tirlek eventually chose to trust Su Mo.

Su Mo examined him carefully and noticed that his eyes sowhat resembled Tilo’s, then said to Tirlek.

"Wait here for a mont."

Then, Su Mo approached Gris and spoke to him.

"I have so matters to attend to here. Head to docking bay 4; there’s a level 3 light ship, the Swift Wind, docked there. Wait for on the ship. I’ll return once I’ve finished here."

"Alright!"

Gris didn’t bother arguing and turned to leave.

The creator, Swallower, said to Su Mo in a deep voice, "Aren’t you worried he’ll escape again?"

"I trust he won’t this ti."

Su Mo replied straightforwardly; if the other party didn’t want to, there was no need to agree.

"Let’s hope so."

The creator, Swallower, replied in a deep voice.

Su Mo then approached Tirlek, who was still bruised and swollen, and asked.

"Want to help you walk?"

"No, I’m good. Boss, follow ."

Tirlek said to Su Mo.

"Alright."

Su Mo nodded.

A mont later, Su Mo followed Tirlek, winding through the alleys.

They finally reached a small, narrow tin house.

Tirlek opened the house, its interior cramped and cluttered with worn-out items.

Su Mo glanced around, frowning slightly.

"Do you live here?"

"Yeah, what’s wrong?"

Tirlek replied with a pause.

"That doesn’t seem right. Long Ke, the conman, once told your sister had so loyal followers outside. You got beaten up and still live here?"

Su Mo found it hard to believe.

"Loyal? Loyalty can’t withstand fragntation, and with no money, and being wanted by Star Ring City, just surviving is tough."

Tirlek replied despondently, head hanging low.

Su Mo considered that Tirlek had a point; with Tilo having been incarcerated for so long, it’s natural for her followers to disperse.

He chose not to dwell on it further.

"So, how is my sister in prison? Has she been mistreated?"

Tirlek asked anxiously.

"Rest assured, she wasn’t doing well initially, but after the Endless Deep Space Prison AI rebellion, it’s better now. The Prison Director won’t trouble her."

Su Mo reassured him.

"Really, that’s great to hear."

Tirlek relaxed noticeably at Su Mo’s words.

Su Mo then asked Tirlek

"Who were those guys that beat you up? Do you owe them money?"

After hearing Su Mo’s words, Tirlek hesitated before saying, "I did owe them a little. I was making paynts, but then they cheated , privately changed the rates, compounded the interest; I couldn’t pay it off."

"You should know, those people have no moral bottom line at all."

Su Mo spoke in a stern voice.
