At this ti, Gris was bored and had an itch to gamble, so he headed to the largest casino in the black market.

It wasn’t long before Gris arrived at the Heaven Island Casino.

He expertly exchanged so chips, found a dice table, sat down eagerly, and started gambling.

"I’m betting on high!"

...

"1 point, 2 points, 3 points, low!"

The dealer announced.

"Damn, this is unlucky, I’ll bet again!"

Gris bet on low again, but unsurprisingly, it ca up high.

After losing two rounds, Gris stood up and moved to a different table.

This table played poker, the basic ga of 21, easy to pick up.

Without a dealer, it was a winner-takes-all ga; the highest hand won everything.

The dealer started dealing cards, and Gris placed a bet of 100,000 Star Coins.

The dealer dealt him two cards, a 10 and a 6.

Gris surveyed the table, felt he had the best chance to win, and pushed more chips forward.

Soon he received a third card, and Gris glanced at his hand, his eyes lit up as the third card was a 4, giving him 20 points.

Imdiately, he added another 100,000 Star Coins to his bet!

There were ten people at the table, and five folded imdiately.

The remaining four hesitated but then decided to follow.

"Haha, you’re all dood."

Gris flipped his cards, showing 20 points.

The four other players pushed their cards aside, looking defeated, but one unremarkable young man revealed his hand, which was exactly 21 points.

Gris’s face turned black, and he couldn’t help but curse.

"Damn!"

He imdiately stood up and moved to another table.

anwhile, the young man slowly turned and walked away, weaving through the crowd, his appearance subtly changing, even the style of his clothes.

This person was none other than Su Mo, who kept his eyes on Gris.

No matter what Gris played, Su Mo would join in and employ the creator·Swallower to interfere.

Winning or losing didn’t matter, the goal was to make Gris lose.

A few hours later, Gris was going crazy, kept losing at everything, almost losing his shirt.

Normally, he won at least seven out of ten tis.

But now, he lost every gamble, feeling like the Plague God was upon him.

Gris’s eyes were red, but he had no idea what was going on. He even watched the players who sat with him, none of them were the sa.

He checked his pockets, and there was really nothing left.

Just then, Gris saw Su Mo sitting quietly in a chair not far away, staring at him like a Plague God.

Gris couldn’t help but shudder, feeling a bit creeped out.

At that mont, he realized it was very likely Su Mo’s doing!

So he walked over to Su Mo with a bitter smile.

"Officer, why make things difficult for ?"

Su Mo replied calmly, "How did I make it difficult for you? Is it my fault you lost money?"

Hearing Su Mo’s words, Gris’s face twitched, and he said to Su Mo, "Don’t go too far."

Su Mo looked up at Gris and said, "That was just an appetizer. If you don’t want to walk outside and get hit by a car, lose every gamble, or have your roof collapse while sleeping, you can continue."

Gris’s expression beca quite interesting as he pointed at Su Mo.

"You, you, okay big bro, I was wrong, can’t I just admit defeat?"

"You should have agreed earlier, now co with ."

Su Mo also felt a slight relief inside.

"Alright, alright, but officer, shouldn’t you return the money I lost? That’s all I had."

Gris said with a fawning smile.

"It’s just 3.42 million Star Coins, forget about it. Help get this job done, and I’ll give you 10 billion Star Coins afterward. But seriously, how are you so poor for a Captain, with only that much to your na?"

Su Mo led Gris out of the casino and towards the port.

At this point, hearing Su Mo’s promise, Gris wasn’t as ecstatic as one might imagine. Instead, he cautiously asked Su Mo.

"So much money? What exactly does the officer want to do?"

"Act as a guide."

"To which starry sky?"

Gris asked cautiously.

"The dark side of Ceres’s starry sky."

Su Mo didn’t hide it and told Gris directly.

Upon hearing this, Gris ca to a halt, his expression extrely grim.

Su Mo stopped and looked at Gris, asking in confusion, "What now?"

"I’m not going."

Gris had a change of heart again.

This ti, Su Mo was genuinely annoyed, and he said sternly, "Are you ssing with again? Do you really think I can’t deal with you?"

"Do what you want! Lock in prison if you have to, but I’m not going."

Gris squatted down by the roadside like a pile of mud in self-abandonnt, looking as if he was ready for anything.

Hearing Gris say this, Su Mo’s brows knitted tightly together. But he didn’t lose his temper imdiately; sothing was clearly wrong.

He kept his composure and said.

"Why won’t you go?"

"Going there is suicide, I advise you to give up. That’s not a place you can ddle in; you have no idea how terrifying it is inside."

As Gris said this, his face showed a hint of fear and pain.

Su Mo stared at Gris and said.

"I know it’s dangerous there, but isn’t it laughable for an NCO of Star Ring City to fear danger?"

"What do you know, what right do you have to say that? Do you know how I survived back then? You people, chasing after wealth and your own desires, would never understand!"

Gris yelled, eyes bloodshot, as if his tail had been stepped on.

Su Mo didn’t expect such a strong reaction from him, and after a few silent seconds, he said, "Forget it."

Gris was taken aback; he didn’t expect Su Mo to give up.

Su Mo looked up at Gris and said, "If you don’t want to, forget it. I’m not going to force you. But I want to make one thing clear: the reason I’m going to the dark side of Ceres’s starry sky is for a rescue mission to save my comrades, not for wealth or personal desires."

Upon hearing Su Mo’s words, Gris felt as if he’d been struck by lightning, standing frozen in place.

However, just as Su Mo turned to leave, Gris abruptly called out to him.

"Wait!"

Su Mo paused, turned his head to look at Gris.

"What’s the matter?"

"I’ll go with you, even if it ans dying there, I’ll go. I don’t want any money."

Gris looked at Su Mo with unusual determination.

Slightly stunned by Gris’s words, Su Mo wondered if he was crazy.

"Are you sure?"

"I’m sure."

Gris replied with certainty.

Su Mo considered it briefly; he didn’t know what had caused Gris’s drastic change of heart, but he could tell this ti the guy was serious.

With this thought, Su Mo decided to trust him once more.

"Alright, co with ."

Just then, a sudden stir arose in the crowd ahead.

"Don’t run!"

A group of fierce-looking n chased after a fleeing figure at full speed.
