"Hey brother, wanna buy a stone tablet? I’ve got the real good stuff. The ones on the left are just 1000 Star Coins a piece, the ones on the right are pricier, 5000 Star Coins each. If you want a large quantity, I can give you a discount."
The stall owner said with a big smile.
"No, thanks."
Su Mo glanced briefly but found no interest, and continued to move forward.
He wandered around for a bit and stopped in a slightly secluded corner.
In the corner lay a barely alive person, looking ashen and hollow-eyed.
The ground was littered with garbage.
Flies buzzed around, and stray dogs fought each other over scraps.
Su Mo stood for a mont, then communicated with the creator·Swallower.
"Searching like this won’t work. There are too many people and it’s too chaotic. Plus, I didn’t see any Patrol Guards, aning this place is highly unregulated. Finding Gris using conventional thods will take too long, and ti is what I lack right now. I need you to locate him."
"I understand."
The creator·Swallower replied in a low tone.
Then it began scanning the entire black market, taking only a few minutes.
The creator·Swallower replied in a low tone: "Found him."
Instantly, a scene appeared in Su Mo’s mind, with Gris clearly visible.
San Tung Restaurant.
Gris had ordered a table full of delicious dishes, using chopsticks to pick up a morsel of tender fish and pop it into his mouth.
Then he lifted his wine glass and took a delightful sip.
With an expression of enjoynt, he happily remarked, "That brash kid thinks he can order around, what a joke, haha!"
"Oh, really?"
At that mont, Su Mo sat directly across from Gris and asked indifferently.
Gris looked up at Su Mo, his muscles tensed suddenly like a startled beast, reacting instinctively.
Inside, he was shocked and uneasy. How could this guy have found him?
Normally, even if soone were pursuing him, the black market is so large and crowded, catching him would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
But he quickly composed himself, squeezing out a faint smile.
"What a coincidence, officer."
"Not really. You stood up, and under normal circumstances, it’s no big deal. But right now, every second counts, so I’m really annoyed."
Su Mo solemnly warned Gris. He was truly annoyed, if he didn’t need sothing from Gris, he wouldn’t be so courteous.
"Oh dear! My apologies, I completely forgot about it."
Gris’ eyes flickered as he flashed a broad smile.
"Stop with the nonsense, I don’t have ti for chit-chat. How much do you want to work for ?"
Su Mo stared directly at Gris.
Gris felt an inexplicable pressure at this mont, even his smile seed stiff.
At this point, a shabby yet handso young man approached Su Mo’s table and whispered.
"Gentlen, I’ve got secret info on the Pala Fruit, would you be interested? It’s really cheap."
Su Mo raised his hand, gesturing for him to leave quickly.
These intelligence peddlers were all fake, there were already five people selling info in this restaurant.
With Su Mo’s hearing, he could easily listen to the conversations of the other four.
"Sir, I have information about ancient ruins, genuinely reliable, they say there’s a Super Star Destroyer inside."
"Hey buddy, want to know where to find a Negative God Fragnt? I know a place that has lost ones."
...
Su Mo had heard such claims countless tis in prison, even more advanced ones, so he was immune.
The young man, seeing his pitch failed, hesitated for a mont then decided to move on.
Gris beckoned, "I’m interested, officer, let chat with this chap."
But Su Mo reached out and grabbed his wrist, calmly stating.
"You aren’t interested."
The young seller quickly slipped away.
Gris showed an irritated expression and said to Su Mo, "Officer, why are you doing this? I finally found a chance to make so money."
"Help with the assignnt, and you’ll make money naturally, also don’t bother fighting it. I have a Recruitnt Order signed by your Legion Leader, both logically and emotionally you should cooperate with ."
Su Mo wasn’t swayed by Gris’s tactics.
Seeing that pleasantries failed, Gris spoke up, "Officer, sorry. I really want to help, but I’ve got other duties at the mont and can’t follow your orders."
"I don’t believe you."
Su Mo replied coldly.
Gris showed his electronic bracelet, which displayed a long-term mission.
The mission was to apprehend a fugitive in Black Wogri.
"See, I’m not lying."
Su Mo’s patience had reached its limit, he had no ti for nonsense, directly telling Gris: "I don’t care about that, you must co with today."
Gris, seeing his firm stance, stopped pretending and sneered.
"Do you think I’m so scared kid? You say follow, and I follow? I’m not working for you, what are you gonna do about it? Complain all you want! Don’t think being a Colonel makes you special, truth is, when you were still a baby, I was already a Colonel."
"So you’re dead set against cooperating."
Su Mo also furrowed his brow, this guy was indeed troubleso.
But it was understandable, given that he was demoted from Colonel to Captain, basically fearless of anything.
"Think whatever you want, excuse , officer."
Gris stood and left.
The creator·Swallower said in a low tone to Su Mo, "Ran into resistance, huh."
"Yes, this situation is quite tricky, and I can’t resort to force. I must make him willingly help, otherwise, he’ll just ss everything up."
Su Mo responded gravely.
"What’s your plan?"
"Can you help disguise myself?"
Su Mo asked tentatively.
"You asked the right person, now that my powers aren’t limited, I can do it easily!"
The creator·Swallower’s words had barely finished before Su Mo’s skin suddenly started to shift.
He instinctively picked up a phone to use as a mirror, and found his appearance completely altered, even his clothing style was different.
"Wow, you even have this ability."
Su Mo praised involuntarily.
"It’s nothing. What’s your next move?"
The creator·Swallower responded in a low tone.
"What else? Follow him like a Plague God, wherever he goes, we go. He likes to gamble, we’ll gamble him to death."
Su Mo said in a low voice and then followed behind.
Gris, who had left, wandered around the street repeatedly, only relaxing when he was sure Su Mo hadn’t followed.
"Damn, finally shook off that cocky guy."
