Deep in the largest corporate building in Bronix City a team of Spec Ops mbers searched the sub-level that Captain and his team were. They trod through the hallways, with the walls painted in blood and torn flesh decorating the floors.
"What the fuck happened down here?" one of the mbers asked.
The air was filled with the sll iron from the blood and decaying corpses.
Fully geared in tactical armour, faces covered with masks and on their head's helts with infrared and night vision visors. All black wear carrying their assault rifles, with the safety off, pointed toward the ground away from their bodies. Fingers on the trigger guards, trained to prevent friendly fire.
Moving ahead of five n was their leader. A cold hardened veteran from a wat that happened a few years ago. He raises his fist signalling the others to halt.
They stood by the doors of a room they were ordered to find. He signals one to stand on the other side of the doors. The cold steel doors separated them from the room they targeted.
On the keypad the leader entered the pin and the doors slid open. Inside the room was racks of servers that carried docunts they were looking for. They went in and started extracting docunts they.
After half an hour they left the room. Outside was Celine, a project that The Harlem was working on, fully naked and her skin pale. They stopped and the leader spoke to her, "Are you okay?"
Her face emotionless, her body frail and had a scar across her forehead. Then the whole team realised what stood in front of them and they pointed their guns at her. "Do not shoot!" the team leader spoke toward his team to de-escalate the situation.
Was it foolish? Indeed, it was.
His team told him words he didn't have the courage, "That is the bioweapon!" Even though their faces were covered the tension in the mont was felt throughout the hallway. Her body knew one thing, kill all that are weak and she did so. Raising her hand in front of her she used her power and pushed them away with the force.
Blown back the Special Ops team flew back fast. Not once touching the floor they crashed into a wall made to withstand even her powers. They were pushed into the wall and could not move.
She took slow steps towards them and the force she exerted increased the closer she got to them. Their bodies slowly being crushed between the force and the wall, they scread as the pain slowly beca agonizing. Ribs were breaking, skulls were being crushed in, breathing beca difficult and excruciating, and the rest of their bones were beginning to break.
Internally their organs were pushed toward the spine before they raptured inside. The broken ribs punctured their lungs first then their hearts, the skull gave succumbed to the pressure and destroyed their brains. Then finally all the compressed organs and blood left through their skin violently, splattering through the sides.
Celine stood in front of the ss she had made and grinned.
Entering a room filled with pods, wiring all over the place and a control station just in the middle of the greenlit room. Celine stood there by the controls and spoke, "By the will of my master, I shall release the monsters into the city after his death!"
On the controls were symbols she could read. The centre console wasn't a man-made design, so the middle display showed the number of pods there were, and which were not occupied. The display was surrounded by four ideal buttons. One for the opening of all pods, one for individual selection, another to destroy the organism inside and the last as an ergency button. She pressed a button on the top left of the display. It opened all the pods, and various creatures were released.
Frost Walkers, Hellhounds, another tallis and a few other unknown ones. The large pod in the other room was open as well and an individual fell out through a cloud of mist. They were curled up as they landed on the cold, marble-tiled floor unclothed.
Their hair was naturally a fiery-red and the eyes were yellow. Shivering on the floor they opened their eyes and t Celine's gaze.
anwhile General Mynde and his convoy were taking Captain and his team to an undisclosed location in Bronix City. All the fighting Captain went through had exhausted him since he used more power than he normally would have.
It had only been less than an hour later that the team had another problem to deal with. Though the residents of the city were oblivious to the large military vehicles rolling through the streets. Distracted by their day-to-day activities of horniness, fucking, drinking, smoking and partying. However, only a few individuals wondered what was happening and one of them happened to be Alia.
They had arrived deep in the Residence Sector – the suburbs of the city – in front of a storage building out in the outskirts of the city. Five heavy artillery vehicles stopped one after the other. The team stepped out and Captain was carried out of the middle vehicle. They were instructed to go inside as one of the soldiers opened the garage door.
The storage building was spacious and furnished with equipnt and weaponry. The array weaponry went from pistols to mountable machine guns, explosives from grenades to C4.
"Where are we?" Marie asked.
General Mynde stood by the entrance smoking a cigarette took a deep sigh and faced the team. "You interrupted a mission that was conducted on the Calvi Corp. building that would've jeopardised everything," he said plainly. He didn't want this, even the trio felt it in his tone.
"The governnt instructed to arrest any and every individual who interferes with all missions it has decided to conduct. You two are aware of this, except you Dante. Even your injured captain knows. Put him in the FRI!"
He instructed two masked armoured n to place him into a machine nad the Fast Recovery Incubator, FRI for short. It was designed as a military grade recovery machine to help injured or wounded soldiers. Based on secret elf technology they never feel the need to disclose. Its workmanship is very ticulous in that any missing piece would make it dysfunction and the parts are rare to find.
The FRI was open in the corner near the left corner wall of the storage building which asured twenty-five tres wide, forty-four tres long and seven tres high. They dropped him in, closed the tal door that had a small window that showed only his face.
After that screen on the side of the FRI lit up showing Captain's vitals, – heart rate, oxygen levels, how critical his stage was – it gave a holographic scan of his body and showed his cut off limb.
What they hadn't expected was for it to display a ssage that said healing in progress. Why? you may ask! It wasn't ant to heal injured or wounded individuals; it was ant to induce recovery.
Captain's power kicked in and it began to rebuild his lost arm.
Then a call ca. General Mynde stood with Donny, Marie and Dante having a chat with them.
"Look I get you don't understand what is going on, but I am not doing this because I want to." He stated. "I have been instructed to do so,"
"Why now? You had the chance to arrest us before, didn't you?" Marie retorted.
"Because I tried to keep your mission under the radar!" he spoke under his breathe. "Soone told my superiors about you and what you were doing. They called and said I should arrest you. That's what I did but I am doing your Captain a favour by leaving you three out of this."
"How co we never knew about this other mission that was going on?" Donny asked, trying to pressure him. His posture straightened after noticing their demand for an answer.
Then a soldier walked up to General Mynde with a phone in hand. "It's for you," he told him and handed him the phone. He listened to the ssage intently. His responses gave the three an idea that what was going on during the call was trouble.
Looking at the team with furrowed brow and an intense stare he got off the call and told them the situation. "Demons are exiting that building as we speak and we have to rush back and hold them off!"
"Wait, what about Captain?" Donny asked.
Mynde looked back at the FRI and back at the team. "We can't rely on him right now," he paused. "We have to do this ourselves. Fuck! This happened at the worst ti possible!"
He then ordered a few soldiers to remain behind and watch over Captain while he went out with the rest of them.
The city was terrorised with mutated demon experints. Several people were eaten, others killed and then there were those who suffered a fate worse than death and used as toys instead. In the midst of them all were Celine and Project Kaiser.
