Eventually, Max approached a small group of human participants standing near a large plaza. The mont one of the n saw him, he frowned slightly.
For so reason, Max seed familiar to him. He felt as though he had seen his face sowhere before, yet no matter how much he thought about it, he could not recall where. Nevertheless, he did not dwell on it for long.
Max directly asked, "Can you tell what exactly this city is?"
The man looked at him with surprise before replying, "You really do not know? This place is one of the neutral cities scattered throughout the Eternal Hourglass. You can think of it as a giant hub for all participants. As long as you possess enough Killing Points, you can buy almost anything here. Resources, cultivation treasures, rare dicines, powerful weapons, information, maps, inheritances, Divine Ability and even opportunities can all be found within this city. So people have even obtained legendary treasures here before. Of course, whether you can afford them is another matter entirely."
Max's eyes narrowed slightly as he listened.
The man continued, "This city is not unique either. There are many neutral regions throughout the Eternal Hourglass, although each one is different. Participants eventually visit them because everyone needs resources or information at so point. Fighting is strictly forbidden here because the Eternal Hourglass itself enforces the rules. That is why you see hundreds of thousands of people walking around peacefully despite this being a battle royale."
Max nodded thoughtfully before asking, "What is this city called?"
The man smiled faintly and replied, "This city is called Starfall Haven. It is one of the largest neutral cities in this region of the Eternal Hourglass. Most participants pass through it sooner or later. Looking at you, I would guess you have been spending all your ti fighting and hunting Killing Points rather than exploring."
Max chuckled lightly after hearing that.
The man was not wrong.
Ever since entering the Eternal Hourglass, Max had done little besides fight, kill, and search for opportunities.
Now, however, it seed he had finally discovered a completely different side of the Cosmic Ascension Conference.
After understanding the purpose of Starfall Haven, Max thanked the man and continued exploring the city on his own.
The more he walked through the bustling streets, the more amazed he beca by the scale of the place. Everywhere he looked, participants were buying treasures, exchanging information, or searching for opportunities. So shops sold rare cultivation resources while others specialized in weapons, armor, maps, pills, and inheritances.
Eventually, Max arrived before an enormous pavilion unlike anything he had seen before.
Above the entrance hung a massive golden sign.

The mont Max read those words, his interest was imdiately piqued.
Without hesitation, he entered.
Inside, a massive crystal screen floated in the center of the pavilion. Thousands upon thousands of nas continuously scrolled across its surface.
Max walked closer and began browsing through them.
Soon, a list of Divine Abilities appeared before him.

For the first ti since entering the Eternal Hourglass, Max genuinely felt as though he possessed almost nothing.
