After Agunas and Veronia set up defenses outside Jin Sha City, Feng Yuan and his group advanced once more. This ti, with Veronia joining them, Feng Yuan didn’t just rush toward the endpoint, but this action slowed their progress.
By the ti the sun was almost setting, they hadn’t reached the end of this suddenly appearing yellow sand well passage. The only certainty was that this yellow sand well had been in a special closed state, because along the way, they did pass through the Gemstone-Type Spaces of the yellow sand well, yet these areas still lacked lighting facilities.
As for the entrance and exit, although not completely closed, Feng Yuan didn’t plan to just follow along, because the passage might have been missed for other reasons, but this Gemstone-Type Space was different. Not to ntion the passages leading to the surface, even the crystal apex of the Gemstone-Type Space was quite conspicuous on the ground.
The surface of the Yellow Sand Well Scenic Area is enclosed and protected as part of the Jin Sha City, yet this hidden section clearly doesn’t belong in that area, which forces Feng Yuan to suspect whether this place is situated in so form of Different Space.
"According to space positioning, we’ve already walked outside the limits of Jin Sha City. I rember the original asured scope of the yellow sand well wasn’t supposed to be this long."
Feng Yuan said as he looked towards one staff mber, who nodded and replied
"Correct, the known parts of the yellow sand well are only in Dongquan District and Huangmiao District. If calculated by extending the lines, we should have just walked through Yutian District. This area has undergone complete renovation and rebuilding, theoretically, there shouldn’t be any hidden areas."
The counterpart evidently considered the possibility of a Different Space, or rather, this is the only reasonable explanation, after all, Yutian District had already deeply explored the underground space for rebuilding high towers. If the yellow sand well were in normal space, it should have been discovered long ago.
"Could this passage really lead to the ruins in the Hu’erma Sand Sea?"
Feng Yuan said unsure, casting a suspicious glance ahead. If they really can reach the relic, he might actually be reluctant to continue, as he cannot be sure if the mysterious dragon silhouette would act against them.
"I don’t know, theoretically, this kind of energy transfer channel should lead to a source of energy, but this place feels odd, there might be sothing different."
Veronia shook her head and said, as the small fla wolf released by her seed to sniff sothing and kept looking ahead. Noticing the fla wolf’s strange behavior, Agunas frowned and said
"Is there sothing dangerous ahead?"
"Maybe not, if there really is danger, do you think it would notice it before us?"
Pointing at the small fla wolf, Veronia said irritably, turning her gaze to Veronia. Had it not known that it couldn’t beat its opponent, the fla wolf might have bitten.
"You’re right, but let’s be cautious."
Feng Yuan rubbed his chin while observing the pitch-black passage, uncertain what awaited them ahead, but having co this far, they had no reason to retreat.
As Feng Yuan and his group continued, the surrounding yellow sand began to change, special bright yellow crystallizations occasionally appeared along the path in the yellow sand. Feng Yuan bent down to pick up a piece of crystal, looked at it, and said
"This seems like a crystallization phenonon caused by high-intensity energy impact. Did an explosion occur here?"
"Perhaps, but structurally, this place certainly couldn’t withstand such an explosion. So, is it Kastantos’s weapon influence? Crystallization Weapon, I recall it does exist but the corresponding energy is quite special. It’s said the characteristic was first discovered by accident in Rock Peak Treasury, though I’m not very clear on the details."
Veronia pondered a mont and said, though Mitradite once investigated much intelligence from other countries, Veronia couldn’t be expected to have full knowledge of Kastantos’s information, which is unrealistic.
"Crystallization Weapon? I rember it’s called Karlon, right? But that thing actually originated from Rock Peak Treasury? Then..."
Agunas spoke thoughtfully, his face looking sowhat grim as he considered certain unpleasant matters, and Veronia naturally understood his concerns and said
"Karlon doesn’t affect beings at the level of Divine Beasts, so you don’t need to worry about them, and Rock Peak Treasury wouldn’t use Karlon either. Even if it was installed, we should have encountered it by then."
Although the archaeological team is still cleaning and researching Rock Peak Treasury, those weapons are usually placed on the path of judgnt. Even if the treasury has defense asures, they shouldn’t be overly lethal, since they entered using legitimate ans.
If simply opening the door had a lot of random rules, this treasury definitely wasn’t ant to leave treasures for later generations, everyone knows, any information often errs when transmitted multiple tis, and if recorded with certain items?
Sorry, encoding it might lose the solution thod, plaintext? Once others get those records, adding more conditions is futile.
Thus everyone’s judgnt is as long as they have the correct opening thod, Rock Peak Treasury theoretically isn’t dangerous. Of course, this is only theoretical, if Rock Peak Treasury uses bloodline detection and such, there may still be hidden dangers, but with other Divine Beasts overseeing, it likely won’t have major issues.
At least, Rock Peak Treasury using Karlon as a protective asure isn’t likely, so why then, does this passage appear to show these special crystallization weapons?
Unable to figure it out, Veronia still placed a barrier on the staff mber, the small fla wolf, and Big Cat, given they were the ones affected by Karlon’s weapons.
The further they went, the more severe the crystallization phenonon beca. Even the flowing sand trough was covered in crystals, and the surrounding walls had a thin layer of light yellow crystals.
"It doesn’t seem like an attack, but rather an accidental explosion. But, how was the Energy Impact blocked?"
Studying the crystals, Feng Yuan spoke in confusion; Agunas and Veronia couldn’t explain the scene, everyone had to continue onwards, and when the surrounding reached the height of crystallization, the passage reached its end.
In the buzzing sound, a huge rock wheel was slowly spinning, at its center a bright yellow tiny sun emitted light. In this vast underground space, there were six towers visible to Feng Yuan, those towers affected by crystallization covered with a sparkling crystal shell.
Thanks to that core resembling a small sun illuminating the area, everyone could clearly discern the structure of this room. Besides the six towers and the centrally placed rock wheel, nurous steles were scattered around, the entire space still shaped like a gemstone, yet seeing this made Veronia puzzled and asked
"This looks sowhat like Kastantos’s Sacred Mountain cage device, ant to partition a space for use as a prison, but why is this here?"
If they said this place was an energy relay point, they wouldn’t feel strange, since the yellow sand well is an energy channel; however, the passage’s end turned out to be a space cage maintenance device, leaving them baffled as to what exactly is happening here?
"A cage? Is this place not the starting point but the endpoint? But still, this seems wrong, imprisoning the mysterious dragon silhouette that granted knowledge? It doesn’t make sense."
Scratching his head, Feng Yuan couldn’t understand what was going on here. It’s noteworthy that during the Dynasty Era, Divine Beasts held a status far higher than modern tis. Imprisoning Divine Beasts? Any ruler with a sane mind wouldn’t do that, not just because they couldn’t withstand the Divine Beasts’ wrath, but also because they wouldn’t ever take such actions.
Because Divine Beasts wouldn’t seize their sovereignty, instead, maintaining good relations with Divine Beasts benefits them in preserving their rule. Under these circumstances, would anyone actually undertake such inexplicable actions?
"This should be unlikely, considering the dragon silhouette once aided humans, indicating it wasn’t hard by them. Then, in Hu’erma Sand Sea, is there sothing else requiring suppression?"
Agunas puzzledly swished his tail, saying the situation in this place seems to be growing more complex.
